We love a hole in the wall diner! When you look at it from the outside it honestly doesn't seem like anything out of this world but the food was soo tasty! I got the clam chowder bowl in the bread bowl which was creamy and so filling. My husband got the fish and chips! They were so crispy and tasty (I even took a bite that I enjoyed and I don't even really like fish and chips!) the fries were so good and seemed like they may have been double fried! Our server was super kind and I think one of the managers was hanging around and she was also super kind and attentive! I felt like I was talking to old friends the whole time! We were just visiting for the day so I asked the server if there were any good thrift stores area.. she wasn't too sure off the top of her head since she had just moved there but went above and beyond by googling some places for us! As someone who worked in the service industry for years, I really appreciated this customer service since most people these days would just brush off the question. I can't tell you how the food was because we left. It took quite a while for the server to come by and when she did, we were ready to order but simply asked "what beers do you have on tap". Great restaurant and excellent service. We showed up with a large group and they were gracious and sat us immediately. The server was friendly and very quick. I had the clam chowder and the clam strips, both of which were fantastic, and my bf had the Sam's Burger which he said was great. Right there on the strip they have a big sign that says 2 lbs of clams for $15. Not a bad deal to me. We ordered 4 lbs to go with some calamari and brought it back to our rental to eat. Went around 6:30pm so not sure if that's why there was a lack of staffing. No greeter when you walked in. Our server was very nice but weren't greeted by anyone for about 5 minutes after we sat down. We were pretty much the only ones there so the service was speedy. Environment was nice and spacey and decorated for the holidays. Food was decent, I got the fish tacos. The food is pretty good, service is quick and accurate. They have recently been bought by new owners, the menu changed (I have posted pics of the menu from yesterday). I had their fish and chips one day and came back for the chili burger the next. The wife had clam chowder. I thought both entrees were fresh, hot and a good value. The wife thought the clan chowder was good although not as good as others that while close had closed earlier. I'm glad they are able to keep up and running, I'll be going back there are several more choices I'm eager to sample. read more

This place was so just "meh". My wife ordered the halibut fish and chips , 2 out of 3 pieces were over cooked and just bad, fries were over cooked. Chowder was pretty blah, but passible I guess. I had a burger with tater tots, which was actually o.k., nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. Our waitress needs to find another line of work. Standing around chatting with co-workers while customers are waiting for service. Most of the service we did get was actually from the other waitress. Place looks a little run down, not horrible, but not good either. Give it another year or two and it will likely drift into looking dumpy. read more

Walked by and saw this place was open.. even though it was listed as "closed" online. Decided to give it a try. It took a solid 20 minutes to get menus (after asking twice), another 10 minutes to get drinks, and we are up to 50+ minutes waiting for our food. Yikes. We have watched 5 groups of people come in, get seated, and leave. If I wasn't asking/pestering the waitress, we may have been here all day. Service alone is why I'm giving this place a 1 star rating. I really hate to do that to a business, but this is the only way change will be made. This place had 1 person working. I'm assuming he was doing the kitchen as well as front of house because the dude was everywhere. Apart from waiting 30 min for someone to appear, the ambiance was very weird. The place was kinda icky. Plates everywhere, dingy and dusty and the furniture was outdated. By the time our food came out, my plate was flug at me and the others were slammed on the table. Before we got a chance to let server know if everything was good he'd already walked away. My plate, the Alfredo, alone was cold and the shrimps were still frozen, the sauce was dumped on and garnished with god knows what. The burgers were distasteful, the tots were the hottest thing on anyone's plate and nothing had seasoning. The crazy thing is that the dude still asked, "what's wrong with it?". Came along this restaurant while walking around the seaside and it looked very cute and had a great menu. They were able to seat our group of 3, while all other seafood restaurants had a 45 minute wait. I ordered the Alaskan Cod Fish and Chips, it was delicious! It comes with 3 large pieces of fish and a pile of fries. The fish was fresh, juicy, and flavorful. The breading was thin and not overly greasy. It had a nice slight crunch and the taste blended great with the flavor of the fish. The fries were average, some of them a bit burnt, but still okay. The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick. Or meals were done within 15 minutes, hot and fresh from the kitchen. Don't let the small outside and lack of view fool you into going somewhere else. The food here is delicious, you won't have to bend your budget or wait too long for a meal. read more
