Came back again for my wife's birthday (we came here two years ago for her 40th). The food here is absolutely amazing and fairly priced! The service is why we come here tbh! They are super friendly and very prompt when delivering food or drinks. With it being spring break it was super hectic so the atmosphere was electrifying but in a good way. There is an adult lounge in the back that has video poker and other gambling games, a full bar, plenty of options for beer on tap, and some of the best bartenders I've seen since leaving New Orleans when I moved north. 10/10 every single time.

We came here for my brother and sister in laws anniversary. We haven't been to Seaside before and went off Yelp reviews to pick their dinner spot. I don't like to give 2 stars but I truly feel it's an honest review for this place. We were seated in the outdoor patio area, which is heated (also very hot on your head so be prepared for that), which had metal outdoor like patio tables, not the most comfortable or convenient for trying to dine. There was some confusion between the host and servers, which resulted in us waiting 25min before I had to ask if we could order drinks and an appetizer. We were seated right in front of the bar and no one was around us. Yet not one employee asked if our order had been taken. After asking ourselves who our server was, we finally got one and she was great! She knew we'd been forgotten about and got right on it! Food service was quick and she even gave my brother and sister in law a special complementary dessert for their anniversary. Besides her great efforts, the food was sadly bland and proteins were over cooked.

This place is always busy, has an amazing patio complete with fire pits, and is in a centralized location in Seaside. We brought a group of 7 in for a Friday night dinner and, as expected, there was about a half hour wait. The menu is fairly extensive and seafood heavy, which is what we were after. Our server was in the weeds from the moment he greeted us and drinks remained empty most of the evening, which did not go unnoticed. Everyone loved their food, but my first dish (The Captain's Feast) was sent back. The seafood was beyond overcooked and was inedible. The Smoked Salmon Ravioli was amazing. The capers and lemon cream sauce meshed well with the smoky salmon. Vibe is beach and the building is big and beautiful. Good service would have given them five stars.

After walking around town we stopped here to have lunch. Sat in their outside seating on a beautiful sunny day. Denis was our server and was on top of his game. Started with Sisu Tomcat lager, crab cakes which were very good but didn't like the sauce. Then I had the beet salad and cheese bread which we shared and both enjoyed. My husband got salmon taco's. The salmon was excellent but the taco, bean and rice need some revamping, didn't work together.

I found a blade in my smoked salmon and cheese ravioli. I was at seaside yesterday to get some lunch and wasn't able to finish it. I got it out into a to go box and I'm finding it today. I don't know where this would've came from besides the restaurant.

Food- we ordered the cheese bread- which was cheesy. BLT with fries, clam chowder in a bread bowl- which they butter the bowl and is a nice touch, kids Alfredo with Parmesan and butter and then our drinks. Overall the food is good! Also note their RANCH is home made which is always a bonus! Service- they have remodeled and it seems their primary focus is the outside seating/ bar. It's a nice set up. Service was a tad slow but it was a Thursday and pretty busy compared to most places. I really enjoyed this and would go back here!

I visited Finn's Fish House for lunch recently. I went there specifically for fish and chips. I liked the outdoor seating area a lot and the service was great. I got pacific cod fish and chips along with sweet potato fries. The fish was very good. It was flaky and fresh. The batter was light. The sweet potato fries were on the thicker side and super delicious. Overall, I was happy with my experience at this restaurant and will visit again.

Visited for our anniversary. We had a great lunch and drinks. The service is always so nice and tentative. The seafood is fresh and tasty. Clam chowder is thick and delicious. We have come here with family, friends and alone. Food is consistent and always hits the mark. The crab cheesy melt is worth every penny!

Fire pit with 70s vibes. SahWEET!

Who has 2 thumbs, settles into a seaside town, then wants a steak?!? THIS GAL!!! Ok, I blame the salad at lunch and the delectable cows roaming the pastures along our drive from Portland to Seaside! After checking out other restaurants in the very walkable "downtown" area of Seaside, we settled on Finn's. The special Steak and Scampi caught my eye and we were taken back to the lounge near the kitchen to settle into a booth, with a very cool, retro "fire pit" nearby, giving me 70's Chart House vibes(IYKYK). The circular copper table surrounding the crushed glass fire pit had seating for 10 on adorable, short vinyl stools. Great area for happy hour meet ups. But this was well past that time and FOOD was ever gentle on our minds, so we got to the menu - STAT. I went with the afore mentioned special, 12oz ribeye RARE, garlic scampi and fresh seasonal grilled veggies. Hubs selected a nice, simple Fettuccine Alfredo with garlic bread. WOW! Do you have any idea how unusual it is to order a steak rare and actually have it served HOT that way?!? Bravo to the grill master chef on THIS night! The garlic shrimp was also quite tasty, but the seasonal veggies were a complete surprise and a real highlight. So much so that I asked what they were called, "Googled" them right away and ordered the seeds to try and grow them myself. (Pssst...the seeds are still in my garden shed aka garage, but I have faith I will get them in the ground following the next seasonal LA thaw!) The squash was Delicata and had the most tender rind EVER. Slightly sweet, it was perfectly charred and seasoned. There was also a pepper I had never tried before called Sweety Drop Peppers (aka Capsicum Chinense, Pimenta de Bico, Little Red Tear Drop Peppers), a sweet, grape tomato sized pepper with NO FIRE. I professed my new favorite veggies to our server and she remarked she's actually, accidentally, ate an entire jar of the peppers cuz they're just so darn good. Indeed! ...and Hub's Fettuccine would have Alfredo's stamp of approval! You know right away when you see a dish label "Alfredo" if it's correct or not. Firstly, it should NOT be swimming in soupy sauce. It should be a light, creamy, cheesy delight and Finn's is just that. After our very satisfying dinner, we lumbered back to our hotel and fell, full bellied, off to dreamland. A delicious evening at Finn's. Cheers, "CC"!

Meh. Finn's is Just the sort of mediocre seafood restaurant you'd expect on the boardwalk of a touristy beach town. It's all about location, so you don't have to try hard to impress with the food. It's really difficult to find decent food "at the beach," whatever beach you find yourself at. This is a nice enough space to eat in, with a heated and covered patio. It was a cold day, and the ceiling heaters really blast. So this was nice. Not much atmosphere to speak of, but it's clean and open. I also have to say that the service was prompt and pleasant. The food though, does not impress. I had the seafood Benedict for breakfast (should have known better). It comes with crab and shrimp, so I'm expecting something kind of luscious and decadent. Fancy eggs Benedict, you know? But the shrimp? Sad. Those ultra tiny "salad" shrimp from a pre-cooked can or a bag. Bottom of the barrel shrimp. Krill, basically. They don't even really look like shrimp. They looked more like dead sea monkeys laying there, drowning in a sea of hollandaise. And the crab? Just flavorless lump crab like you'd get from a can. I paid fluctuating "Market prices" for this "seafood", leanding the impression that this would be fresh, local catches. This place is mere yards from the Pacific Ocean after all. And this is a "fish house". Seafood is their specialty. And with that I discovered I'd been hustled. Scammed. Anyway, this is the review of my first and last visit to Finn's Fish House.

    Amazing Dulce De Leche! Yum!

Myself and four of my friends went here and we sat on patio where we were promptly and absolutely completely ignored . We waited 30 minutes when they were hardly even busy and had to go inside and ask for every drink, to place a food order, to remind them we'd like to place a food order, to remind them AGAIN that we'd like to place a food order, to tell them we'd like to pay our bill ( three times) and finally to tell them that if we didn't get our bill in the next five minutes, we'd leave. Each time we went inside, we were ignored and had to wait up to ten minutes while being ignored completely. They would not even look at any of us or acknowledge that we were standing there . Seemed more interested in talking with the locals sitting at the bar. It was honestly the strangest experience any of us had ever had at a restaurant. On top of all that.....the food SUCKED!!! The seafood was fried is such a huge amount of batter that was soggy with grease that it was uncooked in the middle. Upon peeling the huge amount of nasty batter from the fish, we found a piece of fish in the middle that was MAYBE an inch wide and 1-1/2 inches long. I wish we had thought to take pictures. All in all, it was an absolutely disgusting meal , rude unfriendly staff that really just acted like you didn't exist and were not even remotely approachable. a waste of over 2-1/2 hours of our lives which really should have been an hour. Most of the time was spent looking at each other and wondering what the hell was going on. Save your money!

I enjoyed the steamed Manila clams appetizer, the two oyster shooters, and my ribeye. The issue was, all the items were brought out at once. When ordering it, I did specify "to start" for the appetizers and did not in any way indicate I want it all to be brought out at once. The steak was wonderful; I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't just switch out the potatoes and asparagus for a salad, but I understand how that could be a substitution and they don't do substitutions at all. To do that I would have needed to pay $12 to add on a salad, which I chose not to do. I also was not offered bread - which coupled with the fact that neither the minimal prep time oyster shooters nor the clams with the toasted garlic baguette came out early, and I was really hungry, made me wonder whether they didn't offer it to me because I was dining solo. Every table sat before and after me, whether two people dining, or seven, were offered bread and butter. I asked for a refill of the hot water for tea three times and I understand that maybe bringing me another tea bag would have been extra, the server typically offers a new bag or a refresh without me needing to ask, so that really was different. All in all, I'd come back here; the food is stellar and the portion sizes are great. I just will know to ask for bread, and also for the two appetizers not to be brought out at the same time as a sizable entree because that made it challenging to focus on one item at a time as you don't want to oyster shooters to get warm, nor the clams & steak to get cold. Not the best balance for the level of a steakhouse that this place is. The crème brûlée was delicious.
