I love the Warren House Pub. I sometimes have to take a deep breath and remember to put my CB chill on, as the service can sometimes be a little lacking. We absolutely love their smoked prawn cocktail, really special and delicious. They smoke the prawns in house. The halibut burger is really great too. The fish is fresh and lightly breaded with panko. It comes with lettuce, tomato, pickle and tarter sauce. You also have a choice of pea salad and chips, or you can upgrade to a side salad. not being a huge fan of peas i do that - their side salad is better than your average side salad. The dressing choices are great and there's more to it than lettuce and tomato. The bar has a great selection of beers and pretty much anything you'd want to drink if you're not in to beer. The bartenders are always friendly. If the weather allows, there is an outside deck with picnic tables that has a great view of the ocean which is right across the street. read more

"Why are you taking so many pictures?" - local barfly. Because I really like this place. Because it's nestled pretty much right up against the water; well, across the street, but still, you get the point. Because it's a nicely stocked bar in a small area. Because it looks exactly like a place that I would love to come to on a regular basis. And mostly, because that patio garden, in summer months, is SPECTACULAR. I wasn't prepared for her questions. But that doesn't mean I didn't like our interaction. She was proud of her spot. And she should be! Unprepared answer: "Um, because I've never been here and I really like the vibe?" "You should! This is the best @#%^* bar on the north coast!" - also from local barfly. After I thought about it, I certainly agreed with her. Warren House Pub is a bit of a hidden gem, but it's also a relatively known option in Cannon Beach. There isn't a ton of indoor seating, so you can sit on the deck out front, or you can sit on the beautiful patio out back. Just know that if you are sitting out back, then it is all self-service. Order your drinks and your food at the bar, they'll give you a buzzer, and you go pick it up when it's ready. But you still get to be in that garden! The fare is pretty good, and it's bar & grille food with some local and creative accents (oyster shooters, anyone?) Bar service is quick and friendly, even for a non-local. Rack 'em up and play a game of 8- or 9-ball while you enjoy your craft beer, always local and always on tap. Like I said, this is the kind of place where I could spend a lot of time, if I lived here. We really like this place. Both times we've been here the service and food has been great. Someone had written a bad review because they couldn't take their dogs on the back patio. As dog owners we checked it out and they are welcomed as long as they're leashed. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for a pub with a warm, welcoming vibe. read more

My friend and I went there for Happy Hour. We called in advance to ask what time happy was. We walked over with our doodle dogs from Tolovana Inn. When we got there they said no dogs allowed inside. Your website said you are dog friendly. We wanted to order a cocktail and the bartender gal said we can't bring them on the patio. No dogs allowed Have to order food to pick up and take it outside No drinks allowed outside My recommendation is to make it clear on your website what constitutes dog friendly? you have to order a cocktail and drink it inside. We saw two single men drinking beer out on the patio. They didn't have to drink it inside. Go to Warrens Public house if you want zero service, unfriendly staff. We have eaten many meals at this pub and have always enjoyed the food and service, but lately that has all changed and everything has gone downhill. While today was a hot day at Cannon Beach, we decided to give the pub another chance. When we arrived, the tables in the back patio were dirty, the cart was full of dirty dishes and the water pitcher was empty. While a staff member did come outside once, she just removed a few glasses from a table, but didn't take time to wipe off any of the empty tables nor fill the water pitcher. Our burger was overcooked with a soggy bun and the salad wasn't good. We had to take the water pitcher inside and ask someone to fill it for us. While we were there for sometime, no one ever came out to pickup all the dirty dishes that were overflowing on the cart. And since the temp was over 80 degrees, it would have been nice if umbrellas had been place out back. It's now time to move on from here and try another restaurant!! read more

Tourists - Prices are 90% higher than what their website reads! AND the Manhattan Chadower was brown not red. It is as if they took the bean soup of the day and served it as Manhattan. It's pub food. Wooden interior, a room with a fireplace, and some outdoor seating. The patio that faces the beach side is pretty nice, with lounging chairs and umbrella tables. You can find the local bunnies wandering here and there. Service is short but friendly. Can be a long wait for food if it's busy. Get the halibut burger and just enjoy the vibes. My husband and I had the unfortunate opportunity to visit this place twice this past weekend. First time visiting, the bartender was the only employee working at the bar and restaurant area. She was rude and looked annoyed that we were even there. We scanned the menu, which looked appetizing, but decided to just have a beer and leave. The following day, we thought we would give this place another chance and due to it being just next door to where we were staying. A couple walked in front of us and the first thing the bartender ( different bar tender) said "I'm the only one here, so it may be a while". No "hello", "welcome in" or even a smile. My husband and I just looked at each other and thought " oh great, here we go again". We were starving and decided to stay. We both ordered the cheeseburger. They don't offer fries, so we opted for the potato chips. Our burgers were absolutely disgusting! The patty was obviously frozen/premade prior, disintegrated in my mouth with each bite. The chips were from a bag, those were not even homemade. Sooo disappointed with this place and will NEVER be back for so many reasons. Been coming here for years for their oyster shooters ($3) -- try them, you'll love them. But today was the first time I had their oyster burger. Holy joy. Four juicy breaded oysters cover the bread. Tomatoes, lettuce, and pickle spear on the side. And their signature pea salad tossed with blue cheese and chopped red onions. Delicious, delicious. Typical pub atmosphere. Has a pool table and a couple of TVs tuned to a sports channel. An extensive selection of liquor to complement the local beer offerings. There is a beer garden where you can sit with your dog and eat. The quality of the food is in line with the prices. read more

My mom and I decided to come here for dinner last night. You can choose to sit in the bar area or the restaurant. The bar area has a pool table on a couple of big screen tvs. Mostly regulars in the bar, and the staff seems to cater to the regulars more so than walk in customers. The restaurant seating has small tables and a fireplace. FYI, they are not able to accommodate parties larger than 6 people. My mom ordered the Smoked Turkey Sandwich with Cranberry. Although there was a generous portion of turkey, she said her sandwich was very dry and that there was hardly any cranberry sauce. I ordered the Rueben. Again, a decent amount of meat, but it was lacking in Thousand Island, sauerkraut, and cheese. The bread was also soggy. Very mediocre food. I came here with my boyfriend for a late-ish lunch around 1:30PM. There seemed to be a line, but the line was for families with kids so we were seated quickly. The server was attentive and promptly took our order. I got the Fish Sandwich upon the servers recommendation. The food came quickly after ordering. The sandwich was simple, a couple small breaded fish patties and came with regular potato chips, for $16 I expected a little bit more, but the fish sandwich tasted good. But I probably wouldn't go back another time. I'd give 5 stars for the service. When I went to Cannon Beach it was super crowded so I get that it's hard as a server and the restaurant was short staffed, so thank you to the staff at Warren House. read more

Returned for lunch the other day. I had the oyster sandwich this time, and started with a bowl of their Manhattan style clam chowder. I thought the chowder was truly excellent - lots of clams & tomato, and the flavor was wonderful. My oyster sandwich was a mess to eat, but I really enjoyed it despite the fact that an oyster or two got a little overdone (see photo). Last minute dinner on a Sunday night and close to my VRBO. Walked in and sat at the bar. Dana had just clocked out but helped anyway since everyone was busy. I asked her if they had any amber beers to which she replied yes and we make it here. I ordered and it was great. I told her I just got into town and what should I order. Immediately she said the baked halibut. I ordered it and it was delish. Great recommendation. The vibe is fun with regulars at the bar. They have a pool table and a few slot machines. The reviews aren't wrong about this being a locals space where clearly the focus is on drinking BUT the food was food, and we found the staff to be friendly and attentive. Their oyster shooters are the best priced in town, they have the best drunken clams we found and 1 of the 2 we ate there they has handmade crab cakes that were fabulous. So, I get the complaint on the vibes, but I make my own wherever I go read more
