Walked into Screw & Brew not knowing if I needed a wrench or a beer... turns out, both. Half hardware store, half pub and somehow it works perfectly. Where else can you admire power tools while crushing a cold one? The pretzel? Absolute standout. The kind that makes you consider ordering a second "for the table" (it's for you). Service was on point and quick, friendly, and clearly used to people being slightly confused but very happy. My wife ordered a Bloody Mary and loved it !!! Cute and original pub on main drag. Had a great chicken burger with chips and "the sneaky deaky" mixed drink $30.90 for both. I don't drink much so I appreciated not being knocked on my ass and it wasn't too sweet. Some may feel lack of alcohol it's not worth $10. Service was quick but it was 11:15ish and not bust yet. Two servers - guy and gal. The gal was plenty nice. When I finished my meal I sat there for a bit and waited to pay. I wanted to go, the only server around was the male, so finally I lifted my card and waved at a male server. He was standing chatting with someone - not busy. He said -- I don't know what that means. Really? Is there some other meaning? Perhaps I was having a seizure? :). My $6 20% tip just fell to $4. Should I have just sat there until someone noticed I was done? Great little bar for adults only, right next to the Public House and Hardware store. We ended up going here twice during a two-day getaway to Cannon Beach because the food is really good - they share the kitchen with the Public House Hardware Store and it's the exact same menu. Best fish n chips in town, also the patty melt was outstanding and my wife got it both visits. No table seating inside, but the bar has enough space to enjoy the good food, get a great drink and watch the game or chat it up with friendly locals. There's also a pool table and game room. If you want to take advantage of the good food from the Hardware Store Public House but don't want to deal with little kids around, the Screw & Brew is your best kept secret. read more

A little gem in Cannon Beach! Service was great! We all had a bit of an issue with our fish and chips. Not sure how to describe it but it was like it wasn't quite prepared well as a filet. It was this hard lining in the fish we each had. Our waitress was super great when we asked about what was going on with the fish. She was concerned and showed the chef. She discounted our bills, which was really nice, we ate around this portion. Cute place to try! Despite our fish issue, I would try again as the service was great and they did address with the chef, stuff happens! read more

This is a cool quirky spot. It is a bar inside a hardware store. They offer some pretty good food and all the normal drinks you would expect from a bar. I had the Ruben and had to cut myself off when I was full because it was so good I was eating it for the taste over hunger by the end Our food did take an excessively long time to come out so a star came off for that. We stopped in for dinner for the first time. The food was very good, halibut sandwich and tater tots were amazing. The only issue was with our waiter who was also the bartender. We were seated at a table and it took forever for him to bring us water. I asked what beers were on tap and he said "there's a sign over there". I couldn't see the sign from where we were sitting so I had to get up to read it. Awful customer service. What's with the service in Cannon Beach? Do they hate tourists?
