5 stars hands down! Food, service, and atmosphere all top notch. We've tried pretty much every restaurant in cannon beach and this is by far one of the best! All the menu items from starters to entrees were really thought out well. We ordered the clam chowder as an appetizer and my wife and I agree it was some of the best chowder we've had (and we've had a lot of chowder). For entrees we had the pork chop and the hand cut linguine. Pork chop is a must order! Literally life changing. The linguine was good and with shrimp even better. But I'd definitely order the pork chop over anything. The service was on point and there was even live music. The live music was actually really good too and wasn't too loud or overbearing. We could still have a talk and enjoy the background sounds. Our food came out quick and we were actually surprised at how it was able to come out so quickly and perfectly cooked. This is a nice little gem in the heart of cannon beach perfect for a date night. It's a must visit and trust me you won't be disappointed!

For the price OMG, they have an amazing fine dining menu selection. We ordered the pork belly as an appetizer then our entree was the pasta that's hand pulled and also the pork chop and both were exceptionally delicious!!! The service was great and also the place was so cute and quaint! Love the vibe here, there was also a long wait outside bec they don't take advance reservations too!

Band sets up in tiny place in front of the bar. Great guys playing multiple nights.

I went for the live music on a Sunday and returned on Wednesday because the food was so good. This to me was the best meal of the trip. I also ate at a high end place and I would prefer bistro over that place any night. The place is TINY so make a reservation or you won't get a seat. There is very limited seat at the bar for last min walk-in but not more than 8 or 10 seats. The menu is diverse and has vegetarian options. The wine list is strong with Oregon wine with multiple varietals. There's also HH from open until 6 daily.

We were lucky enough to have a small wedding dinner here. First the personal touch, service and staff were next level amazing! Now for the food, wow... we had multiple appetizers, every meal ordered was quality crafted delicious. The custom tiramisu cheesecake the chef and owner made was beyond words, we were all mind blown!! If you are in town and don't stop here, you are missing out!! Thank you Bistro

Came here for dinner with friends on a Saturday evening. Made reservations in advance for 5:15. There is no designated parking lot for the restaurant, but there is a parking lot about a block away for area shoppers. We were greeted as we walked in. Very inviting ambiance with dim lights. They have live music; an acoustic guitarist played soft tunes while we dined. The restaurant is pretty small inside, but they also have outdoor patio seating available. We ordered the cioppino, pork porterhouse, and fig and beet salad for entrees. They were all delicious! The pork was cooked perfectly and very tender. The cioppino had tons of seafood and just the right spicy kick. The salad was fresh. For dessert, we ordered the maple cinnamon cheesecake, crazy swede, and their homemade coffee ice cream. All desserts are made in-house, and it shows. All were delicious and a perfect end to a wonderful meal. Our traditional dinner spot during our annual girls beach weekend is Neah Kah Nie Bistro in Manzanita where we stay, but they were closed for a fall break this visit, so we found The Bistro as an alternative. We were happy we did! It was such a wonderful first experience. We'll definitely return and highly recommend it.

My wife and I just loved eating at Bistro!! Chef Jack is an amazing chef that serves absolutely wonderful food. Everything, everything is fresh and well made. The chef special will change based on chef's choice, and what is available at market. You can't go wrong with anything you pick! Service is excellent, everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and about the flavors of the menu. The ambience is easygoing and they have live music, which was very easygoing and great to listen to. It's loud enough to hear, but quiet enough to have a clear, comprehensive conversation at your table. They also carry several whiskeys and Scotches, include Whistle Pig whiskey! I highly recommend going! My wife loved her linguine so much that she took a picture of it, had it made into a photo, and framed it.

An unassuming restaurant in the main drag, we noticed a sign advertising a one hour live music and happy hour so during a soggy day we decide to check it out. Simple layout and decor that reminded me of a senior resort town type restaurant. We sat at the bar and order drinks and 2 appetizers. The bread was delicious!!!! Cocktails were neither good nor bad. Caesar salad was strange with a weird Parmesan butter patty type thing on top that just tasted like bland firm mayo. We were not fans. The rest of the salad was fine. Ordered the Korean ribs. They were okay but a bit over seasoned. Music was nice especially in a small town like cannon beach. Staff was polite and service was prompt. All in all it was a mediocre experience so may need to try again to really know for sure.

Bistro is hands down my favorite restaurant in Cannon Beach. The food is always excellent, seafood never over cooked and even their Asian dishes are spot on in flavor and spices. Service is always great and JJ is an amazing host. Tried Anna's Table to see if it would surpass Bistro as my new favorite and it's not even close to Bistro.

Ask the Community - Bistro Restaurant & Bar

Has anyone been seated in the lounge? I just made a res and was told we'd be seated there and I'm wondering if it will be the atmosphere we want.

We've only been to Bistro once, I believe it was a Sunday evening. We were seated in the lounge and it's close quarters. Very intimate. But it was a fun time, it almost felt like a party. Everyone was very friendly. The music started really soon… Read more

Kind of like the feeling of coming home. The place was packed -- just a testament to their very good food and excellent drinks -- there was even a couple sitting outside and they had a fire going. Wish I had taken that photo. It was a really beautiful moment. The place was decorated and felt very holiday festive with small bright lights reflecting off the tin ceiling. Excited to have a couple of days on holiday here. Stopped in to pick up their latest version of fudge because Christian the Baker keeps evolving the art of fudge making...and you don't want to miss an iteration. Using the owner's grandfather's recipe as the base, he makes some of the best fudge in Oregon. Tonight I was told he decided to explore a Mediterranean approach and added nutty sesame to the fudge. The sharp but soft chocolate is a perfect compliment to a delicious drink on a cold, cold night. While I was waiting for the fudge to be packaged to take back to the fireplace in my room, I spied their latest culinary endeavor sitting in jars on the counter... and actually started salivating. They are now serving Pickled eggs. Incredible. When was the last time you had a pickled egg? When done right, pickled eggs are among the most satisfying and clean bite of delicious ungrilled, ungreasy proteins in the world. And the lounge has decided to serve two different kinds, so we might've died and gone to heaven. If you love eggs of every kind, as I do, boiled eggs hold a special place because they are hearty and compact and completely whole. So when you add a spices and acid to that perfection...it emerges as "wow." The service was attentive and thoughtful always, and I was told they're open New Year's Eve until 9.

We started with the oyster shooters and they were amazing - fresh, flavorful, and a perfect way to start the meal. We also ordered the crab sandwich which was very cheesy in the best way possible, and the soft baguette paired perfectly with it. The clam chowder was honestly one of the best I've had. Perfectly made with a thick, creamy sauce and full of flavor. Definitely a standout dish for me. We also tried the salmon fish tacos. They weren't necessarily "to die for," but they were still really good and fresh tasting. The steamed Manila clams were amazing! This is one of my go-to dishes anywhere that serves them because it can really be hit or miss, but Wayfarer absolutely nailed them. For drinks, we ordered an Old Fashioned and the Purple Hazestack - both were made perfectly. On top of everything, both the waiter and hostess were extremely polite and welcoming. Great food, amazing drinks, incredible beach views, and wonderful service. Would absolutely come back!
