We came in genuinely excited and left very disappointed. Our service was as cold as the food we were served. It's uncomfortable having to tell your server the food is unacceptable. It's poor form to not apologize and ask how to remedy the issue. Removing our cold French dip sandwiches with a scowl and without a word is not good service. Stuff happens, restaurants get busy, and good servers know how to make things right when they drop the ball. We enjoyed the shooters and the beer. read more

I went in for lunch Monday the 26th of January.The bartender had red hair and looked at me and walked off.I waited for awhile and then 3 men came in and she smiled at them and immediately went to serve them still ignoring me..She was so obviously rude I walked out..The other bartender that works there is pleasant and very kind..The red head one clearly has a problem with women.I will go back but not if she is working..Its very frustrating when you go somewhere because you love their food and a rude bartender/ waitress ruins your whole experience. read more

After spending the weekend in Seaside we were on our way back home and stopped by the RP. I am so glad we did. Unlike every other place in Seaside we went to, the staff was welcoming and friendly the second we walked in. The food, also better than other spots in town, is reasonably priced and outstanding. A hole in a wall type place. Do not let the outside building fool you, as they have good oyster shooters $4/3. First time. Came here strictly for oyster shooters, a little small, but was not disappointed by the taste. The gentleman who helped us was friendly and attentive when ordering. We were in a month or so ago and for some reason my wife decided to try the grilled cheese sandwich. When placing the order it seemed the waiter assumed we'd want bacon on it and based on the burger I have raved about, we didn't argue. Sadly, this sandwich didn't measure up. It had minimal cheese and I guess some bacon, but for the price (north of $10) it was a real letdown. Check that - it was a MAJOR letdown. As a result, I am lowering their overall score to 4. I can't believe I haven't reviewed the Relief Pitcher before! Our family has a beach house in Gearhart and this dive is ALWAYS our first stop when we come into town. The main man there, Tony is a complete gem of a guy and makes the best fresh squeezed greyhound. We always order their cheeseburger. It's big enough to share (though you probably won't want to) and they hand press the patties out of quality local beef. The bun is specially made for them by Franz. Great burgers, divey bar feel. Feels like a local spot but everyone always seems to be friendly inside. I have been to this place many many times although it is not kid friendly it's a good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag and sit in enjoy a fantastic burger on the back patio during the summer. They also have horseshoes, giant Jenga and just a fun place to hang out. If you go here looking for frills and gimmicks you will leave disappointed, but if you would just want to stop in to a local spot grab a grab burger and a great drink this is your place. The bathrooms have slope floors and are not heated so in the winter the toilet seats are like sitting on an ice cube but I still love this local spot and plan to be back many times for the burgers, the fries and the video poker. read more

The food was absolutely DELICIOUS to boot; I ordered the Panned Fried Oyster Sandwich with a side of fries and freshly squeezed OJ. All the food we had here in Oregon was great; but this establishment, Relief Pitcher, is what I will highly recommend--on top of encouraging to try the Oyster sandwich. The only thing was the fries could've been better--crispier and more salted, but the sandwich gives it a balance and I used ketchup; it wasn't too bad. Overall, 5/5! I needed to take my food away so I ordered a set of three oyster shooters for $5 while I waited! They were so good I got another round! I was sitting at the bar and right in front of the very friendly bar tender! I watched her make a bunch of drinks but the most amazing was the margarita. She used a one armed bandit juice and the drink included 4 oranges a lime and a lemon!! They must have been outstanding because after she made a couple the orders rolled in!!
