    Nachos

This old theater has been renovated into Sisu Brewery. It's right on the boardwalk and easily accessible. A lot of the charm is still present there with the decor which I really appreciated. The lower floor consists of the bar, kitchen, and some supplies stashed against a big screen tv. Upstairs are some large fermentation tanks and above those are many theater seats. That ambience was unique but the food and service were just ok. The nachos with the potato chips were a pretty good appetizer. They were savory and salty covered with a generous amount of toppings. The big time burger, other than its massive size, was standard. The fish and chips were under-seasoned. The pork belly fries had potential but were buried under a ton of cabbage and too much sweet and sour sauce, which resulted in all of it being very dense and soggy. I think the straw that broke the camel's back was the service. Basically, we were only acknowledged at the beginning and end of our experience. Our server was at the front entrance constantly having a conversation with the hostess. We had to get up to ask for condiments, more water, and more beer. It also took a really long time to receive our orders. Overall, I had really high hopes for our experience but it was a let down. Not sure if we will come back here or not on our next beach vacation.

Here's a picture of the acceptable "Stoic Black Lager." It was nothing special, but it was at least the color the menu promised.

I ain't no rocket scientist, but I do know what a friggin Impossible Burger is, and what these dingdongs brought to the table ain't it, mang. My dining companion and I have partook of the vegan diet for some time now, and the got dang hockey puck slapshotted onto our table isn't even a third-cousin to the miraculous beast known at the Impossible Burger. And after the menu so lovingly described said pseudo-meat, they really messed this one up, dadgummit. I mean I'll be a monkey's uncle if the fish & chips at the next table over didn't just slide out of a Gorton's "Seafood" box in the freezer, too, ya rat bastid.

Atmosphere is amazing here. Its an old theatre they have made into a restaurant. There is also an upper level that still has traditional theater seats. It would be a great spot to watch a game and eat and drink. The food was pretty incredible. I totally forgot to take pictures. We had some fries with pork belly and some fried cheese curds. Both were big portions and super flavorful. Service was quick and friendly. The beer was decent but not mind blowing the food and atmosphere were definitely the stars of the show.

food was great. Husband said it's the best Ruben in town (he's eaten many). Fries are great. BBQ burger (subbed for chicken) was delicious. Beer was good.

Fried pickles, raspberry cream ale and double ipa

We started with the fried pickles, double ipa and the raspberry cream ale. The ale is delicious and I'm more of a sour beer fan. The clam chowder with beer bread was amazing! Best clam chowder I've had in a long time. There were clams in every bite. That hasn't been typical of other chowders on the Oregon coast. My husband ordered the BlT and side salad were fresh with a great quality of ingredients. The service was awesome! The servers were all buzzing around taking care of peeps. The ambiance sits in an old, renovated movie theater where they shows sports games. Fun vibe! I wouldn't pass this place up. Cool spot with great merchandise too. We really dug this spot. Check it out!

Movie theater turned into a brewery, a unique experience to be sure, and a great place to watch sports on the giant screen. Great clam chowder, and wide variety of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and of course beer.

Delicious jambalaya with homemade bread baked with spent grain from the brewery!

I'm a big fan of SISU Brewing! Their beers are delicious, their staff are professional and courteous. My Bartender Jessica is a gem and she's one of many talented Bartendwrw I've encountered here. I came for the beer, but I also want to compliment their food! I had an excellent Swiss mushroom burger here yesterday with hand cut French fries, so good! I told my dad about it and he told me I'd better go back and try their jimbalaya, which is why I'm here now. As always, my dad was right, the jambalaya is to die for. There's a nice big slice of homemade bread on top and Bartender Jessica told me it's made with their own spent grains! (swoon!) One more shoutout to the staff of SISU, I had a brief conversation with one of their brewers, Rich, before I even made it in the door. He was smart and informative and had great people skills for a brewer! These guys are rockstars, but they don't always make for great conversations, Rich was the exception. Also, during my visit yesterday, I had two excellent Bartenders whose names escape me, but they were both really nice and showed me great hospitality. Come for the Mexican Lager, stay for the great service and food! Long love SISU Brewing!

Had a double stack burger which was almost too much for me to finish, the bacon they serve is top notch. The cheese curds in the poutine are good. The Mexican lager was my favorite from the flight I had. I imagine this play is busy during sporting events with the huge screen they have. Good service.

Service was so friendly and quick. My son's burger was huge and he said delicious. I love that they serve all the beer brewed literally in house! Next time I'm in seaside I'm going back!!

We stopped in for a quick lunch the week after Labor Day. I'm always down to try a brewery. Sisu's location in an old movie theater was definitely intriguing. The interior space offered a bar, table seating and also retained movie theatre seating with small trays. Kinda like a college lecture hall. Brewing equipment holds center stage. A unique space. My friend and I shared a flight. Unfortunately, the beers were just okay for me. We both agreed the best was the Imperial Stout. My friend ordered the halibut tacos which were great. My halibut fish $ chips were okay, but again, didn't wow me. The fish was the best part. The fries were overcooked & greasy. Not worth the $23 price tag. Our server was pleasant.

Such a fun restaurant! This is right on the main strip so you can't miss it. It used to be an old movie theater and they kept some of the same layout to keep with that theme. The first floor was kinda small, but they did have a second level. I had a flight and the halibut tacos. They're a brewery and they make their own beer. It did not disappoint. You can pick any of the beers on tap for your flight. The tacos were absolutely delicious and the portion size was pretty big. The only reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is because I was dining alone and I told the hostess I was going to the restroom and when I came back my menus had been removed from the table because the server thought I had left before ordering.

What a cool concept! Old movie theatre turned brewery. Friends with us had been many times and watched sporting events when they drop the huge screen. We tried all the appetizers, lots of beers and would definitely go back! Word of caution: they don't skimp on flavor. If it says sriracha it will be spicy. Says garlic it will be garlicky. They don't do a hint of flavor. It's explosive and wonderful! Server was great, attentive and checked on us often.

Fun place to eat had the Mac n cheese with chicken strip and bacon crumbles. Service was good. No movies playing this evening but had sports on the screen.

4.5 stars... well, let's call it four and a half with a raised eyebrow…read more Time's Theater and Public House has been part of my life since I was three years old. Three. I couldn't tie my shoes, but I could sit in that theater and stare at that big glowing screen like it was the second coming of Hollywood. From childhood all the way to 18, that place wasn't just a theater it was a landmark. It's iconic. It's got bones. It's got stories in the walls. I remember walking in one time and the screen was down, sports blasting on that big canvas like God intended. That's how you use a theater, folks. You don't buy a cowboy hat to hang it on the wall you wear it. Same principle. Now listen, they've fixed up the bathrooms . Nobody wants to change "historic" restrooms. Some things should stay nostalgic. Some things should not. The food? On point. Service? Solid. Decor? Still has that old-school charm that makes you feel like you're part of something bigger than just lunch and a beer. But here's where I tilt my glass and squint a little. Last few times we've gone in, that big beautiful screen is nowhere to be seen. Instead, we're staring at giant stainless steel beer kegs stretched across the back like industrial art. Not everybody came to admire a 10-foot aluminum torpedo. Drop the screen, man. Let it shine. It's a theater. If I wanted to stare at storage containers, I'd tour a shipping yard. And here's the kicker we walked in at lunch, only a couple folks inside. By the time we left? Elbow to elbow. Packed out. The business is hopping. Which tells me you're doing a lot right. I just think when you've got that kind of space and that kind of history, you let the screen fly. Give the people the ambiance. Don't buzzkill the magic with beer tanks. I love the place. I'll keep coming back. But pull that screen down and let it do what it was born to do. That's worth half a star right there.

I enjoyed the steamed Manila clams appetizer, the two oyster shooters, and my ribeye. The issue was, all the items were brought out at once. When ordering it, I did specify "to start" for the appetizers and did not in any way indicate I want it all to be brought out at once. The steak was wonderful; I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't just switch out the potatoes and asparagus for a salad, but I understand how that could be a substitution and they don't do substitutions at all. To do that I would have needed to pay $12 to add on a salad, which I chose not to do. I also was not offered bread - which coupled with the fact that neither the minimal prep time oyster shooters nor the clams with the toasted garlic baguette came out early, and I was really hungry, made me wonder whether they didn't offer it to me because I was dining solo. Every table sat before and after me, whether two people dining, or seven, were offered bread and butter. I asked for a refill of the hot water for tea three times and I understand that maybe bringing me another tea bag would have been extra, the server typically offers a new bag or a refresh without me needing to ask, so that really was different. All in all, I'd come back here; the food is stellar and the portion sizes are great. I just will know to ask for bread, and also for the two appetizers not to be brought out at the same time as a sizable entree because that made it challenging to focus on one item at a time as you don't want to oyster shooters to get warm, nor the clams & steak to get cold. Not the best balance for the level of a steakhouse that this place is. The crème brûlée was delicious.
