On our last visit to Cannon Beach, we had the opportunity of visiting Pilot House Distilling one of the most elaborate, diverse distilleries in all of Oregon. An incredible assortment of products... simply incredible. From canned mixed cocktails, incredible whiskeys, Gins, a bunch of Vodkas, and Agave spirits to Liqueurs and Absinthe! They also offer some incredible mixes for home! This downtown Cannon Beach location makes for a great tasting and chilling place. While at the beach, this is most definitely the place to go chill with a nice, perfectly distilled and enjoyable distilled goody! The views from anywhere on the premises are fabulous. The set up, environment and layout are conducive to such an endeavor - not to mention the liqueur is ideal, tasty and just what the connoisseur ordered. Great place to relax with exquisite drinks. Can't wait to go back.

Staff very friendly and provide good details on the range of spirits available! Good space for sitting and enjoying the atmosphere

Mike was A VIBE. Immediately walked in and felt good. The drinks (which he created using the house made liquors) were PHENOMENAL. He answered our questions, chatted with us, gave us suggestions for our trip. Highly recommend. His drinks were ART.

Key Lime Pie cocktail (special for 3.14)

So good! I had the sunrise mimosa and key lime pie cocktails. Both good but the Key lime cocktail was unbelievable!

Great location, and selection of distilled drinks. It was very busy day so we get it but it didn't feel as welcoming.

Their palomas were my all-time favorite but I believe they said they were having some trouble sourcing the agave to make the tequila.

Shade can be hard to find, but the staff told me to feel free to grab an Adirondack chair and position it wherever I wanted to, which was appreciated. The staff is extremely friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. While it may seem weird for a non-alcohol drinker to visit a winery, I've been told at other wineries that it's quite common, and other wineries offer a fair selection of non-alcoholic beverages for such patrons. Bateaux only offers water, so anybody hoping for kombucha, iced tea, sodas, etc. is out of luck. Their food menu consists of two pizzas: Margherita, and pepperoni. They're wood-fired, and the dough is made in-house. The pizzas are competent, but they're on the pricy side, and are nothing noteworthy. Service is fast, and there is table service, even if you're just sitting in an Adirondack chair that you randomly positioned in a spot of shade close to the stage. Be aware that Bateaux is completely hidden from view from its street entrance, and that there is a longer-than-expected drive on a single-lane dirt road to get from the street to the winery. Although I didn't encounter any traffic trying to leave when I was entering, eluding oncoming traffic would have been tricky.

We sampled a selection of dishes and really enjoyed their smaller starters. The Burrata Tapenade was amazing! Our winner for the night. Desserts were also delicious. Their other dishes though, I'd say were alright. Great quality ingredients but the seasonings were a tad off. As a winery, their wines were a must. We got a couple of samples and tried the two pour combo which was a very good way to try a bunch of their wines. We liked all of our wines and definitely would want to try more. Overall, I'd say go here for the wine. Hit up their happy hour for deals on light bites but actual main dishes can be skipped, especially at full price.
