The owner, Megan, is quick to suggest the perfect pour for any mood and exudes an infectious energy that puts the bar at the top of my list for a perfect evening. You'll walk in as a visitor, but you'll leave as a friend. It's rare to find a place where locals, seasonal residents, and tourists all feel welcome. Make the time to visit Daughters, you'll be glad you did.

I'd give Daughters 10 stars if I could! I first visited back in March when the owner, Megan, was…read morejust starting out. The wine selection was incredible, the small bites were to die for, the space was gorgeous, and the company was the cherry on top! The coastal ambiance, cozy low lighting in the evenings, and music playlist will make you never want to leave. We shut this place down, laughed with locals, and went home with full bellies and fond memories. After a few months of reminiscing, my boyfriend and I finally took another trip back this August. Without skipping a beat, Megan welcomed us back and remembered details about us like we were lifelong friends. Her knack for hospitality is what makes Daughters truly stand out! As if the friendly greeting wasn't enough, we were also met with a delicious new menu and got to enjoy the dog-friendly patio. I, a notorious red-wine lover, opted for some fresh and fruity options that pleasantly surprised me. The watermelon spritz had hints of sea salt and paired beautifully with the food we ordered. I'm kicking myself for forgetting the name of the dish, but essentially, it was fresh bread, silky cheese, juicy peaches and sea salt all thrown together to make the perfect sweet/salty/savory flavor combination. As always, another 10/10 for Daughters. Near the end of our visit, we finished our last glasses outside with the pups who were spoiled with treats and bowls of fresh water before walking back down to the beach nearby. Daughters is a true gem and so are the employees. No trip to the coast is complete without popping in for a glass of wine and a friendly smile. I'm already planning my next trip back for September!

Kind of like the feeling of coming home. The place was packed -- just a testament to their very good food and excellent drinks -- there was even a couple sitting outside and they had a fire going. Wish I had taken that photo. It was a really beautiful moment. The place was decorated and felt very holiday festive with small bright lights reflecting off the tin ceiling. Excited to have a couple of days on holiday here. Stopped in to pick up their latest version of fudge because Christian the Baker keeps evolving the art of fudge making...and you don't want to miss an iteration. Using the owner's grandfather's recipe as the base, he makes some of the best fudge in Oregon. Tonight I was told he decided to explore a Mediterranean approach and added nutty sesame to the fudge. The sharp but soft chocolate is a perfect compliment to a delicious drink on a cold, cold night. While I was waiting for the fudge to be packaged to take back to the fireplace in my room, I spied their latest culinary endeavor sitting in jars on the counter... and actually started salivating. They are now serving Pickled eggs. Incredible. When was the last time you had a pickled egg? When done right, pickled eggs are among the most satisfying and clean bite of delicious ungrilled, ungreasy proteins in the world. And the lounge has decided to serve two different kinds, so we might've died and gone to heaven. If you love eggs of every kind, as I do, boiled eggs hold a special place because they are hearty and compact and completely whole. So when you add a spices and acid to that perfection...it emerges as "wow." The service was attentive and thoughtful always, and I was told they're open New Year's Eve until 9.
