Bacon n Blue oyster wrap - flavorful but you don't feel stuffed after
    Kurt P.

It's been 8 years since my initial review, and we are staying in Manazita so time for an update! The place is still pretty rustic, but it is clean. They have a nice selection of tap beers, and we ordered a couple of Pfriem (sp?) pints which were delivered promptly. They hit the spot! The menu is still pretty basic, their kitchen looks pretty tiny which kinda constrains what they can do. I opted for the oyster Po Boy and my wife had the fish burger. They were delivered pretty quickly, but we got there right after they opened so I'd expect the kitchen to not be slammed yet. The fries were nice and crispy but lacked salt, but a few shakes from the salt shaker fixed that. I had an ample quantity of oysters, but the sandwich lacked any of the traditional po boy ingredients. They basically took the oyster basket and put the slaw and oysters on a hoagie bun. It was good, but not great. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, no issues with service. They have a nice cocktail menu, next time I stop in I'll have to try their Negroni! Overall, good place for a beer and sandwich.

Had the girl fish tacos all four of us girls did and it was absolutely wonderful. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is fun. Support small businesses.

The atmosphere is what you'd expect at a local bar. Neon, beer signs, slot machines. They have a pretty good craft beer selection. Food is mostly burgers and fried food, but that shouldn't surprise anyone. The fresh local oyster shooters were a nice surprise. I enjoy my fried calamari.

    Cheeseburger w tots.

Came in for a burger and beer. They had different sports on the TVs. So something for everyone. Service was excellent. I had four very friendly people help me out. Everyone helps each other out which is great to see. They were all friends which added to the upbeat atmosphere. I ordered a cheeseburger and upgraded to the tots. First, the tots were cooked perfectly. They came with a ranch sauce which was just ok. Don't know what it was, but didn't have that blast of flavor I was expecting from ranch. The cheeseburger was excellent. They didn't ask how I wanted cooked, but it didn't matter cause it was perfect. Lots of good stuff on the burger (lettuce onions pickles tomato). There was a sauce on it which I couldn't figure out what it was. I ordered an IPA which turned into two. Very cold, very good. So here is the bonus part. I sat at the bar and while waiting I thought I'd throw a $20 into the video Lotto next to me. First spin got me a bonus which turned into $98. I said, that will pay for lunch and more and took the money and quit.

Sadly as no children are allowed we cannot check this place out. What kind of spot serves chili dogs and tater tots, but not to kids?

The woman behind the bar, may have been the owner, was so kind, caring and attentive. She made conversation with me over my license from Colorado, asked my name and remembered it as I was leaving saying "have a nice day, Nate" Soooo sweet and kind. A true gem of a human. She even had regulars that she said "I told you when we were on that hike that I owe you a drink so this ones on me" freaking precious. Okay now that I'm done praising the owner/bartender. The food was exquisite too. I got a basic cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce. It was cooked well and was enjoyed heavily and quickly haha. The cook even came by to check that I liked it as well. Very warm place with great food. Much enjoyed. The place was clean and kept up well. This was one of the first dive bars I had been to where they had slots and that was a bit of a twist. I didn't roll the dice on them as the only thing I gamble on is once a year and that the horses at the Kentucky derby. Keeps my gambling in line and doesn't upset the in-laws too much. If I visit Seaside OR again, I will absolutely find myself back here for another delicious burger and friendly interaction.

Beyond…read morethe visibly run-down and unsanitary environment, there appear to be serious concerns regarding its operations and responsible service practices. The establishment is known for significantly over-pouring alcoholic beverages. While some patrons may view this as a positive, excessive alcohol service is irresponsible and raises legitimate concerns about compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Even more concerning is the apparent willingness to serve individuals who are visibly intoxicated and then allow them to leave and operate motor vehicles. This presents a serious and potentially dangerous risk to the public. The overall condition of the establishment is dirty, poorly maintained, and unacceptable. More importantly, the apparent lack of responsible alcohol service raises concerns that should not be dismissed. It is extremely troubling that these issues appear to persist without meaningful intervention. I strongly believe the appropriate city authorities and law enforcement agencies should investigate this establishment and determine whether it is operating in compliance with all applicable health, safety, liquor, and public-safety regulations. The situation warrants serious attention before someone is seriously injured or killed.

We arrived before 5:00 pm, and it took a while to even put an order in. Even though we were sitting in the bar and there were a LOT of servers/bussers/etc. We ordered the Mushroom burger, the Chicken Bacon Guac burger and the Prime Rib Dip. Let's start with the pros - the Chicken Bacon Guac burger was pretty good! But the Prime Rib Dip had something like shredded meat on it, not sliced meat. So, when you dipped it in the Au jus, chunks of meet fell into the Au jus. Be ready to fish them out with a fork! The Mushroom burger was an exceptionally thin burger. Our server asked how we wanted it cooked. But it didn't matter. A burger that thin was coming out well done, no matter what. It had mushrooms on it, but not many at all. And we ordered the Cajun Tater Tots. Tonight, it was just like someone cooked tater tots, then shook some seasoning on them, and maybe the lid fell off the seasoning? They were drenched in some kind of Cajun-adjacent spice. We had recently been telling visiting guests that the Lost Roo was the one consistent, reasonably priced restaurant on the peninsula. We're going to have to stop telling people that now. Sadly, it'll be a while before we go back.
