I'm giving this place four stars. Don't get me wrong it's a nice spot and definitely worth checking out. The service was good, the place was clean, and the food hit the mark. The sandwiches people talk about are solid, and you can sit there with a drink, look out toward the river, and have yourself a pretty decent time. The staff treated me right too and believe me, that doesn't always happen. Sometimes I walk into a place and I get no respect... no respect at all. Now why not five stars? Well, it's like climbing a staircase. This place isn't stuck on the bottom steps it's about three-quarters of the way up. But it just doesn't reach that top landing. It's missing a little magic, a little spark in the ambiance. Everything's good, don't get me wrong, but it's a bit plain Jane. I save five stars for when a place really knocks my socks off and my socks are still on. But hey, four stars is still a good place to be. read more

There sandwich's are so loaded, only one place close in Portland, taste tickler. We drove from cannon beach in hopes of finding good food for a good price, not anything really good in cannon beach, just overpriced, low selection. Order at the bar from a nice selection of local beers and extremely friendly prices on cocktails, draft beer and mixed drinks. Cozy and comfortable atmosphere with a river view. Came here to celebrate granny's 93rd birthday. Such a friendly place and she sure enjoyed her beer in a frosted glass. Everyone made her feel so special. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. We will definitely stop here again. It's so easy to miss this real pearl along the highway. read more

A hidden gem of Seaside!! After traveling all day, my friends and I stopped by the Pearl to unwind and get some easy dinner before heading to our rental. The set up was something we didn't even know we needed. There was seating at the bar, at tables, and at a cool green couch around the corner that overlooks the river. Of course we chose the couch. As we got settled in with a drink and some queso, we broke out one of the 20 something games available for patrons! We went with Jenga, but there's board games, card games, dice games, and even a pinball machine. The menu was small, but every option we tried was great! We stayed much longer than we expected and it was well worth it. I would recommend The Pearl to anyone looking for a good time with friends! This place is the BEST!! They have grilled oysters and frozen Palomas and the best Italian Grinder I've had on the west coast... and maybe even on the east coast (sorry Jersey..). Great locals' hang-out with a unique view. Owners and team are great. I meet up there with friends whenever possible. No real vegan options on the menu, but I love that I can run to the restaurants next door and have a vegan meal delivered. I would give them 5 stars if the music wasn't so loud, especially when there's only a handful of people there. Some of my friends won't join me there because of that They are a little older and some have hearing aids, so trying to hear and talk over the boom box isn't their thing. I've tried their Italian grinder sandwich, their mozzarella sticks, artichoke dip which was fantastic and I usually get the drink special in the slushie machine which rotates. Oh wow! We were in town for the weekend and stopped in on some friend's recommendation. WE LOVED THIS PLACE! We had a big group that the friendly staff totally handled with ease, with super fast drink and food service. Prices are reasonable and the food was FANTASTIC, every one of us raved about what we had each ordered. The owner has put a lot of thought into the ingredients that they use, and it showed, everything was high quality and tasted great. The atmosphere is another plus, with some fun retro touches, good music, and comfortable seating. Great location right on Highway 101 with plenty of parking, look for the sign that reads "We Are Fun". And it's true. This place is so great, the babes behind the bar serve the best bevs in Seaside! Not to mention the amazing sandwich and hot dogs (DO NOT SKIP THE WORKS). Such a beautiful view of the Neawanna creek from the back windows as well. Plenty of seating, and free pool all day! We work across the street from The Pearl, and they have outstanding customer service, on the phone and in person, all of their food is great but their sandwiches are the best.
