What this has going for it is that scenery. I do feel that the staff focuses on locals rather than those of us just going in for a drink. I wish they had a better choice of beer so I didn't have to get Bud Light (lager), but you get what you get at, do I dare say, dive bars. Hmmmm, would you call this a dive bar? Except for the location, all arrows point to yes. They have video poker but it is usually pretty full. This is definitely a popular place. This is our favorite place to have drinks in Seaside. Divy bar with the longest history, ghost activity, and quirky visitors. Bartenders are always friendly and owners. Sam and Derek are super committed to provide the best service to both locals and visitors. They do not offer food however you can bring your own and enjoy it other tables. It has two pool tables Where you can either have a casual game or a little more competitive game too. Best view of the river is a plus. read more

Got to meet some of the locals which was a lot of fun. Everyone seem to be having a great time playing pool and video poker. Went to this place visiting on 1/20/25 the woman bartender (I believe I over heard as Tamra) was extremely rude to me and friends. When she asked for our IDs (perfectly normal as our entire group of 5 is 25-26 yr old all of which with new style OR IDs) she said she didn't like my friends ID because the face was "closer than other IDs I've seen" when he has had the same drivers license for years which is also a "real ID" for travel. She treated us like criminals as a group and told us to leave. THIS PLACE IS DEFINITELY LOCALS ONLY, SPEND YOUR MONEY WHERE ITS WANTED AND IF YOU'RE LOCAL MAYBE YOU HAVE A CHANCE!!!!!! This place will be out of business within the next couple years. Go where you're treated with dignity and not as an impending threat or criminal. I literally couldn't hear anyone who I was speaking to at this bar and they couldn't hear me. When I asked the bartender if they could turn it down they were incredibly rude to me and people at the bar were rude too. then they turned the music up higher. We made an impromptu trip to the coast last weekend and stopped in to play a game of cards over drinks. Shortly after we arrived, the bartender stepped outside to take a break. A few minutes later, she threw open the front door and announced, "There are raccoons fighting in the river! They're trying to drown each other!" People ran outside, and, as promised, several raccoons were in the midst of a raccoon altercation in the river. Once the losing raccoon managed to make it onto the rocks and slink away, we all had a few comments and filed back inside to continue with our dive bar activities. About an hour later, a group of four 20-something gentlemen entered, sat at a table next to us and ordered drinks. We were at the end of our card game, so we asked for the tab and prepared to move to our next stop. One of the 20-somethings went out the back door for a smoke only to bust back inside and announce, "Hey guys! I sh*t you not...there are two raccoons f***ing out here RIGHT NOW!" We went outside, looked over the railing, and, as promised, two raccoons were going at it. I don't know who is in charge of hiring the Saturday night entertainment at Bridge Tender, but well done. We used to love going in there over the last 5-6 years. We went in on 01-17-23, about noon, thinking we'd have lunch and a few drinks. The first thing we were assaulted by was the ear-splitting rap music on the sound system. We sat next to one another and still had to yell to be heard. I thought maybe this is why there was only four or five other people there and it was lunchtime! The young , slender, gal tending bar acted shocked when we mentioned we would order lunch. She stammered and told us she would see if she could find a menu and mumbled something about the "kitchen" and new menus. She acted lost while still trying to look attractive to a good looking guy at the bar. We opted to have a drink and go elsewhere to eat. She seemed relieved, went outside and took some drags off her "vape". She brought our drinks with a smile then went back to strutting at the bar. My "Irish coffee" was actually coffee and Bailey's in a cup half the diameter or a normal mug I used to get there ( "bringing you less for more") so half a drink really. My wife's White Russian was also in a severely downsized glass. Two drinks were almost $18.00! We left and plan not to return. We sure miss the was it used to be. read more

Best Bar on the left coast. Its full of locals, but non douche bag tourists are welcome. Uptight Dbs aren't really welcome in bars. May I suggest drinking in van down by the river to those folks instead? I've never laughed so hard. The ambience is choice. The people are killer. The beer is cold. We stopped in here expecting a nice divey bar and that's exactly what we got. Sat at the bar and both bartenders were very friendly, drinks were stiff, we tipped well. Listened to conversations around us that were clearly locals and some of them visited with us while others were more standoffish, overall exactly the experience I would have expected at a place like this and we were throughly satisfied and buzzed when we left. We did not eat any food nor did we attempt to gamble or play pool. I just read the other Yelp reviews and it sounds like the locals are a little territorial about the pool tables. Oh well. The worst bar I have ever been in. After being there for 30 minutes the bartender kicks me out because I "look like I'm 12" after I gave her my ID (which is real and I'm actually 21) and said I was "hiding in the corner" which i obviously wasn't. If I could give this place less than one star I would, based on One Bartender this evening. We came to Seaside to have a couple of nights away and to decompress from all of the stress that life has been dealing out lately, but Oh My Gosh I still cannot wrap my head around what happened tonight. We had a great first night yesterday on our first day here. With that, we came here (The Bridge Tender) yesterday on 6/2/2022 and had a great evening here. I even won $337.00 on Keno. I tipped the Bar/Waitress (Tamra) $20.00 on top of all of the other tips that I gave that evening. 6/3/2022, Came in just after 5:00 (ish) and opened up a game of pool. Asked for 2 glasses of Pendleton on the rocks which we got. We (both husband and I) love Pendleton. We got our drinks and continued our Pool game. Both of us took a sip after toasting, at the same time. We both made a grimace face and knew that this clearly was not Pendleton. Husband asked our Waitress Tamra who was in full charge that night, if that was what she served us. Her reply was Yes, it came right out of the bottle. Didn't matter, we still knew this wasn't Pendleton. It tasted more like Jack Daniels. After trying to drink the next 2 sips, I just couldn't drink any more (too soapy tasting). I brought both glasses up to Tamra and told her that I wanted to make sure that I still paid for both drinks but wanted to order something else. She muttered something incoherently about not knowing what I'm even talking about, but the Gentleman who was sitting at the Bar heard our conversation and said, "I know what Pendleton taste like", so she poured a shot glass full of Pendleton and he tasted it with a very grimaced face, he said, "Nope, that does not taste like Pendleton." I said out loud, "Tamra, we don't blame you, but someone poured another alcohol into this bottle, it's not Pendleton and we just want to pay for the drinks and order 2 Vodka Soda's." Her reply was this, " NO, you're accusing us of switching alcohols and I don't want to serve you anything else tonight. You don't have to pay for it, but I won't serve you anything else." We Never complained about anything up til this point and we (husband and I) have Never been asked to leave an establishment in our entire life. This was a first, but to be treated like this is Unbelievable as to why we were asked to leave. Should we have drank down this soapy tasting (what ever it was) and just accept what happened which was obviously someone either added a stank whiskey to the Pendleton or they just poured something else in it's place, but either way, we were not confrontational. Worst treatment Ever while on vacation. Tamra was not only inappropriate, but she was out of line and this should not have been tolerated. We should be able to have a conversation about an issue without fear of being tossed out in front of the entire restaurant. I believed that this was at the very least still America and we can aire our differences and work them out. Seriously, we still wanted to pay for the drinks so that she wasn't short on her till, but forget that, I'm starting to feel like she acted more guilty and may have been trying to pull one over on the Owner of this Establishment. read more
