P 'N P is always one of our favorites. We visited a couple of times last week and each time was great. I will say, the service isn't overly enthusiastic, but because it's a beach town at the end of the season, I'm totally fine with this if it means you still get your food on time, and we definitely did. It's not a knock on Pig 'N Pancake, just seems it's getting harder to find a friendly face any more at any restaurant. The food was all good. It came out quickly and was hot for the most part, and nobody complained about their meals, so that's a bonus in my experience. I did appreciate the way we were seated, served and cashed out quickly even when the place was busy. They know what they're doing here and that's always a treat to not sit waiting forever. We had takeout from here a few times during our stay at Cannon Beach. The service is very fast. Quality depends on who is cooking that day. Once the eggs were burned. The pancakes were consistenly the same. Just basic breakfast food. Their takeout service on point. They included syrup, butter, jam and eating utensils and napkins. Some places miss this. read more

Unsure why this place is rated so low....realistically, one of the best eats in Cannon Beach. Friendly greetings (from all the staff that was near), excellent menu....and the coffee........what kind of brewed utopia did I enter? Some of the best coffee in Cannon Beach! Yeah I said it....prove me wrong! Parking is a little tight, but there are a few spots behind/next to the diner plus ample parking is available just steps up the street if needed. Pretty decent breakfast place in the cannon beach downtown area and we had a nice experience with kids even though they could not eat much that day. We had the dollar sized pancake - these are pretty heavy though and the maple syrup was very good. We also tried the crab hollandise and it was strictly ok as we had better in other places. A childhood favorite! Pig n pancake has consistent quality breakfast across time. I always order and would recommend the crab eggs benedict and substitute their famous sourdough pancakes as the side. While prices continue to go up (not the restaurant's fault, just a result of inflation and local tax), this is ultimately a great choice for anyone looking for breakfast in cannon beach. We went at 11:30 AM on a Saturday during winter, and were seated immediately. Our servers were prompt to bring us coffee and take our orders. Woke up, went for a long walk down Hemlock St. and stumbled across Pig N Pancake. Strolled in on a weekday just as they opened the doors......and there were already several people waiting outside. Popular place and for good reason......everyone was incredibly friendly and the pancakes were pretty awesome. Service was attentive without being intrusive and having a seat by the window was pretty relaxing....especially early in the morning. It's rare that I get to enjoy a stack of pancakes, so when I do....they gotta' be good. Pig N Pancake did not disappoint. read more

Cannon Beach is one of my most favorite places in the world. We stopped in for Breakfast because it was raining sideways. The decor is stuck in the mid eighties. Lots of baby blue and mauve. It felt comforting to sit down. I ordered Swedish pancakes. I'm used to tiny ones and four huge ones came out smothered in Ligonbeery syrup. They were divine but too much. I took them home and had another Breakfast from them. I also went shopping at all of the darling shops there. Stumbled into this diner style restaurant for breakfast on a Saturday morning because we had kids in our party and they wanted pancakes. As soon as you walk in there's toys and trinkets displayed for purchase like a souvenir store. We were lead to our table and were promptly seated. Unfortunately the espresso machine was broken so we could only get drip coffee. Service wasn't exceptional, we had to flag our waitress for water and coffee refills. Since we were in Oregon and they are known for their Dungeness crabs, I ordered the Dungeness crab eggs Benedict with hash browns. The meal was nothing special, the crab did not taste very fresh. We also had blueberries pancakes, they were decent but not memorable. Overall it is what you would expect from a chain diner, fairly mediocre food. The parking was a bit of a hassle as well, very few spots in their lot. read more

I LOVE country fried steak (also known as chicken fried steak) and was very excited to see a diner up on the coast (even if a local franchise) have it. I ordered the chicken fried skillet and my partner got the kielbasa with sourdough pancakes. The chicken fried steak is smaller in portion to what I'm used and is pre-cut. It was the gravy that made this country fried steak perfect because it was actually seasoned and none of that floury taste that some diners seem to suffer from. Toast comes pre-buttered here! My partner's sourdough pancakes were alright, they had a strong fermented aftertaste. Parking is not the greatest, only about 4 spots and one for handicap parking. You'll need to park down the neighborhood and walk if you are going at peak hours. Overall, this is worth the visit if you're craving good diner food. read more

I really want to like this place, it's cute, cozy and service is generally good. The food, however, has consistently been disappointing. I ordered eggs medium and the plate arrived in minutes. The whites were uncooked. But so was everything on the plate - soggy, grease soaked, barely warmed hash browns, "toast" that wasn't, just bread that was browned but limp. The reheated bacon was... passable. I was starving but couldn't eat it. My brother's waffle was uncooked in the middle and completely flaccid. This plate of bacon and two eggs was $20. Coffee was fine. Between the crazy prices and rushed food it feels like an accountant is running things. If you enjoy uncooked/undercooked/rushed food then I'd give it five stars. But i don't. Cannon Beach deserves better. You deserve better. read more

My husband and I visited here in May of 2020 and were unimpressed. We thought that perhaps the disappointment in the food was due to Covid, so since we are back in Cannon Beach we decided to give it another try. We gave it our 2nd try on Monday, October 13, 2025. We arrived right after 1pm and were greeted by a friendly host. He brought us to a table that literally was next to the restrooms. It seemed odd because it wasn't busy, but we decided to just roll with it. He asked if either of us wanted coffee and my husband did. Our server greeted us about 10 minutes after the coffee arrived. She was nice. We placed an order for: Chicken fried steak and eggs (over easy) with crispy hash browns and sourdough toast Cheddar cheese and sausage omelette with crispy hash browns and sourdough toast Small orange juice Our food arrived in a timely manner. A couple of pieces of our toast was burnt. Not like a dark toasted, but charred. The chicken fried steak looked like a sad sausage patty. The gravy was totally watered down and fairly flavorless. The omelette had melted cheddar cheese on the top and it looked like microwaved American cheese. The sausage did NOT taste anything like a breakfast sausage. It kinda tasted like an Italian sausage. I couldn't eat it as it was just overpowered with the strange sausage taste. Our server took off the omelette from our bill and said that she personally did not like the sausage that they use and she feels as though it is overpowered by sage. The best thing about the meal was the orange juice. My husband even said the coffee was not good. In the end, we paid $31 for 1 meal before tip. We love Cannon Beach and we wanted this spot to be good so badly! I know PNP has been around for a long time and have a great story, but I think that with the right kitchen manager and going through the online reviews, they could step up their game and become a great breakfast place! read more

Best breakfast place in CB. They have a huge menu, and lots of seafood options for both breakfast and lunch. I have eaten here every time I come to CB, and it's always good. The staff is so friendly, and the kitchen always gets the orders right and makes for quick service. Crab and shrimp omelettes are yummy, they have these sour dough pancakes that are really delicious, and so are their blueberry pancakes. Ok, so LOVE the name and honestly, the concept. We ended up at this outpost after a day of walking Cannon Beach and we were all starving! Right away, I was kind of stunned by the prices. I understand we were in a prime tourist location, but a side order of fruit for $10.25??? As I kept looking, it seemed like most menu items were $4-5 higher than they should have been. We ended up ordering Pigs in a Blanket and a 4x4 breakfast and shared it among three people. Food was meh and overpriced, server was great! read more

Cannon Beach location: The food was cheaply made and awful and the prices are high! My potato pancakes were just greasy hasbrowns-for 16.00! Coffee is the cheapest you can order from restaurant supply and so was the applesauce that came with my so called pancakes. I can picture them pouring it out of the giant FSA bucket into my bowl. My husband got fruit with granola and yogurt which was also just items bulk purchased and put in the bowl. Nothing good about it. Wouldn't complain about the not great coffee if it were not four bucks a cup. Place also is decorat d out of 1984 and the bathroom had water damage all over the ceiling which probably dated back that far. Only nice thing about it was the folks working there. read more

We love this place. Went to the one in Cannon Beach because we couldn't find parking at the one in Seaside. Parking not much better here: very small parking lot and only one handicap spot. But managed to get last spot in the lot. Staff were fantastic! Extremely hard working but short staffed on Mother's Day (shame on those employees who called out on one of the busiest days, knowing you were needed!). Had my usual Razor clams (2 HUGE clams) & scrambled eggs with pancakes covered in delicious strawberries & whipped cream! YUM!!! Friend had the Blueberry waffle breakfast: again YUM! We had high hopes for this breakfast spot, but it ended up being a major letdown. We paid over $70 for a very underwhelming meal--and that didn't even include the cost of the dish they comped. I ordered a scramble, and the eggs were runny, plus there was a hair in my toast. They did take the meal off the bill and offered me something else, which I appreciated, but honestly, the damage was done. My husband ordered a mocha that never showed up, yet somehow we were charged for a large milk instead. I also paid $3.95 for a regular coffee and never received a single refill. Our kids had waffles that were dry and flavorless, which pretty much matched the overall vibe of the meal. Service was inattentive and disorganized, and the quality of the food didn't even come close to justifying the price. We left feeling frustrated, ripped off, and still hungry. Good service and the food was great. But for me having French toast and my wife having pancakes and coffee for us each was 40 dollars plus a tip. I think that is ridiculous for the ingredients needed to make our food. The Ambiance has been the same for years but they keep it clean. Breakfast used to be responsible cost but it has gotten over the top like all other meals at restaurants. 40 dollars makes alot of pancakes and French Toast if you do it yourself. The main reason I eat breakfast at Pig 'N Pancake is their gluten friendly pancakes. The serving is huge - 6 pancakes, which I always order with fruit compote and whipped cream. The service is adequate but friendly, not anything I would rave about. They are usually very busy. The restaurant is always clean, and there's a covered waiting area outside.
