It has new owners, but I've never gone when it had old owners. I do know when it was the old owners. They had a lot of health issues. I haven't seen any issues listed at the moment. The food was good, and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere could do a little improving. I'd go with a more 1950s Grandma look. The owner works very hard to try to make you happy. And in the winter, it's open when most places are closed. Would I go back midweek? Honestly, I don't know. There are many better places in the area. read more

We stopped into Grandma's Corner and were immediately greeted with a warm, friendly smile and welcome. We were seated right away since it wasn't very busy, and coffee and water were brought out quickly. I did ask for cream with my coffee but was given milk instead. It came in a little soy sauce bottle, which was kind of genius and creative, but it still would have been nice to have real cream. Food & Drinks My husband and I split the special, which was a country fried steak scramble with home fries. It was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The main thing we noticed was that everything tasted quite salty. Service Service was excellent. Our coffee and water never even got halfway empty before someone was there refilling them. Staff were friendly and attentive, and they checked on us often. Atmosphere The restaurant itself is a cute little hole-in-the-wall spot. It's located next to a cannabis shop and a liquor store, which wasn't a big deal. Inside, it has more of an older diner feel. The table setup was a little unusual. Our booth was made from two smaller tables pushed together, which felt a bit odd, but it worked. Pricing Prices were definitely fair and very reasonable for what you get. Would I Return? Maybe. If we came back, I would probably ask for low or no salt on the food. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it also didn't quite knock my socks off. Stopped in here for a home cooked breakfast my husband got the egg and ham omelette it was packed for of ham and was good . I got the ham and eggs the ham was huge and great Smokey flavor I enjoyed it . There is a lighter menu which had half order I would do that next time . The portions were huge and was it was good. The decor is old pictures a few I remember seeing at friends house when I was growing up. The bathroom had these rag dolls my mom Used to make . If you're looking for a little town old fashion small restaurant. This is it . The service was great and friendly. I won't pop in here again . I don't know if we hit a weird day where someone called off but the service was okay because they were busy. The staff was nice and cordial. The inside is clean and pretty. Food is okay. Can't go wrong with breakfast food. Don't get the patty sausage though because it is SALTY. And that's coming from someone who likes salt. read more

Ambiance was great. Feels like being at grandmas table. I was searching all over seaside while visiting to find scratch made biscuits and gravy. Grandmas kept showing up. Grandma's is one of the best Bfast/lunch spots. Better food and service than Arnie's in Warrenton. It is always my "go to" spot for Bfast. The only thing they don't have are Crepes or Blintzes...for that I have to go to Pig & Pancakes, in Seaside. Highly recommended, great d folks!! read more

We went for breakfast, they were super busy, but they got us seated fast. I got biscuits and gravy, this is not Sysco, this gravy is made right there and it's really good! I loved the flavor of the gravy over my perfectly cooked hashbrowns. The servers are very friendly, and you won't have to ask for a refill on your drink, because as busy as they are, they are paying attention to every detail. We finally found breakfast! We normally go without breakfast during our stays at cannon beach, because the offerings are so few, either overpriced or a muffin! Grandma's corner is a very good, homemade breakfast. Not greasy but just fresh. They hire very good cooks and the food shows. We don't normally go to seaside, but we do now for breakfast when we stay at cannon beach. read more

Don't even know where to begin. The atmosphere was chaotic. There was one wait staff, and the dishwasher was busing tables. We did not even have napkins nor any silverware to eat our food with. My food arrived cold, and tasted terrible. On top of that, as soon as we sat down without even a moment to look at the menu, the waitress wanted to know what we were going to have for breakfast. Because we didn't , she said flag her down. We then waited 35 minutes, while she ran around like a crazy person. I finally flagged her down, and she took our order. Then, as I was paying, she was complaining to the person in front of me that she was annoyed that she had been flagged down. WTF? And on top of all that she took orders from people who arrived after us. I would not recommend this place and cannot believe I got 4 1/2 stars. read more

Took the family to Grandma's Corner for breakfast and it was such a wonderful experience. The servers were super sweet to our family and even gave our boys hot chocolate and our little baby girl a bunny stuffy that she hasn't put down since this morning. Over the years, we've literally driven by here probably about 200 times. I had never even noticed the place before, but thankfully we found them on yelp. We had breakfast and our food was wonderful. I haven't ordered pork chops and eggs since about forever, but I gave it a go and I'm so glad I did. The chops were perfect, the eggs were delicious, and the hash browns were fabulous. My wife had an omelet and loved it as well. The people here are super kind and friendly. The building doesn't particularly look great from the outside, but I assure you that there is a warmth when you walk in, great people, and delicious down-home food. read more

I have dined here a few times and always received good friendly service and enjoyed a cozy warm atmosphere. The large portions of food are cooked to order however, nothing is above ordinary. My hashbrowns were extremely crispy to a point of being almost over done and the eggs ordered over medium had hard yolks rather than runny. This is not my favorite go-to spot for breakfast on the north coast as a couple of other restaurants have better quality bacon and tasty breakfast potatoes. In all the years we've been going to Seaside we had never been to a single decent restaurant... Well, all that changed with Grandma's breakfast. The homemade corned beef hash was sooo good, the waffles fluffy and not too sweet, and for a diner the coffee was solid. Portions are an incredible value. Service is wonderful. Well we stumbled upon Grandma's the other day and it was the highlight of our trip to Cannon Beach & Seaside! The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing (My wife's breakfast had a pancake so big it hung off the plate, while my hashbrowns took up half the platter!). Always been curious about this place as every time we have went by, the parking lot is full (and it's not because of it sharing space with a liquor/pot store). We stopped for breakfast around 0930 on a Sunday morning. Tables were full but they got one that had that had just been left, cleaned and ready quickly. Our order was taken and although it was busy, delivered timely. The food was good and pricing was very fair. Service was attentive and genuine. Visited here over the weekend to beat the Portland heat! This place kind of looks like a hole in the wall with a gravel parking lot, but the sweet workers make up for it! We waited about 10 minutes for a table and were quickly served. After ordering, we got our food in about 15 minutes. Pictures show split orders. I came with my boyfriend and another couple and we split two meals among each other. My boyfriend and I got the number 4 and chose a waffle and scrambled eggs with bacon and sausage. The waffle was the perfect crispness on the outside while still being fluffy and tender. It was a very homey environment and meal and I'm glad we went there! read more

This is a traditional American diner. Our waitress Tina is amazingly courteous and kind. She constantly checked on my coffee . The pricing is very fair. The ambience is an American fine cozy establishment with booths and dining chairs. The waffle is malted and poofed over night it was DELICIOUS. But what really was amazing was the ranch and fries.
