    Garden bagel on Asiago bagel

I had the garden bagel without the red onion or lettuce and it was really yummy. My wife got the avocado bagel with a side of thick sliced bacon. The bacon was a disappointment...very thin! Service was friendly and the interior had a fun flare. Would recommend

Bagels and coffee were great. We are so happy that they offer dairy-free cream cheese! The Internet said it would be pet-friendly, but that's not actually true. But I'll still grab my bagels from here whenever I'm in Seaside.

Excellent location Reasonable prices for bagels and coffee Stopped in on a Wednesday morning at 10:30am for an Oregon Chai and a veggie bagel. Waited behind two other people for my turn to order. Friendly person took my order. Comfortable chairs to sit in as I waited. The delicious smells wafting from the kitchen were enjoyed during the wait. Bagel packaged to go, very nice. Chai was hot and delicious. I will definitely stop in again when I am back in town.

Bagels by the Sea was a good breakfast spot. They've got both street parking and a lot, but if you want a quicker breakfast you can use their drive thru. Service was pretty quick and they were nice -- very busy too! Ordered an iced hazelnut latte with a Brunch Breakfast Bagel on Pretzel bagel, and husband ordered the Lox on the Works. Came out quick, coffee took quite some time but they apologized. Building itself is modern, plenty of seating and spacious! Come check it out!

Yum! This place was solid for bagels and drinks. We stopped by two separate times and both times were really good. The first time when we got bagels the employees were helpful in getting our order together. My bagels were fresh tasting. I wish the toast on them was a little darker or crispier but the flavors were all there. My coffee was fantastic! It was half sweet and done perfectly. On my second visit we just got drinks. My coffee was great the second time too! The roast is not bitter at all. I'm a big fan of that! They also make a big variety of Red Bull drinks Although I didn't order one they looked interesting. This place is so roomy and clean. If I was a local I would definitely spend a lot of time here. Highly recommended

Couldn't have asked for a better spot to fuel post Hood to Coast. Indoor and outdoor seating, fun ambiance and friendly staff. Ordered a chai latte and the New Yorker open-faced. I actually didn't even see this on the menu as I was o let looking at the breakfast side for a bagel and lox. I appreciate the individual taking my order asking and telling me about this better option.

I have mixed reviews about this place! Our hotel was down the street so we took a little walk first thing in the morning here for breakfast. I was super surprised by the selection of bagels! I got an eggle jalapeño cheddar bagel with sausage and my husband got the blueberry streusel. Very good and unique flavors. The jalapeño had a little kick but nothing too crazy, I loved it. But he toasted his bagel and it's so burned it's not even edible. It's literally black around the edges and inside it was honestly a waste of money. I had rated this place 5 stars and had to come back and change it to 3 because Im surprised they even let us leave with that it's clearly burnt. I was going to come back but honestly won't be now

BEASTED! Stopped in here before hitting the beach. Nice open concept for the shop, it's very large so I assume they can get rather busy. They offer day old bagels and streusels here, which can't be warmed but are still available for only $2. I grabbed one of those. I was expecting the streusel to be more of a pastry but it was just a bagel with sweet jam and sugar poured in the bagel hole. Good but I wouldn't recommend if you're already getting some sort of bagel sandwich like me. My sandwich was alright. It could've used a spicy mayo or some sort of aioli or pesto on it, it was pretty plain. The egg also tasted like it was from a box of pre cracked eggs instead of freshly cracked which I didn't like. Pretty solid bagels though. I also got a latte, my friend wanted matcha but they didn't sell it which was a bummer. Overall, it was good. Nothing insanely special, but I would go back.

That's why I've decided to stop hurting myself and go to the Chalkboard Cafe instead. The difference in quality of ingredients and cooking is apparent in the first bite. It really is a bit jarring. This restaurant makes everything from scratch, and I mean everything. Yesterday my son and I got two burgers and our potato salad and coleslaw sides were like sides my mother would make in her kitchen, not globs of shelf stable Reser's food-paste that were made two states over a month ago and sprayed with mortuary chemicals to stop their decay. The food at the Chalkboard is real food, not fake food, which brings me to my next point, dietary restrictions. If I had any dietary restrictions whatsoever, gluten sensitivity in particular, this would be where I would go for breakfast or lunch in Seaside. Chalkboard has gluten free biscuits and gravy available, delicious GF naan bread made by hand, and gluten free versions of popular bakery goods made in their small kitchen from scratch. Even if you don't have restrictions you can be assured that your meal will have 80% less total ingredients just based on the restaurant's ethics alone. They aren't taking shortcuts, they aren't bringing junk into the building in the first place, so junk never ends up on your plate. The service is stellar, the ambiance is charming and clean. You're out of excuses. You were wondering where you should go to eat, and now you know. Go to the restaurant where the locals take their own families - the Chalkboard Cafe.

But I didn't care too much for the flavor. Genuinely not good. And the cream cheese it came with, zero flavor, which was easily remedied by adding my own salt. The smell of smoked salmon hits you like a warm coastal memory before you even know what you're ordering. Not only do they have smoked salmon, crab, oysters, and just about every fish imaginable, but that smoked ahi tuna dip might honestly be one of the greatest snack inventions known to mankind. Throw it on chips, make a sandwich out of it, eat it straight with a spoon like a wild animal, it does not matter. It is incredible. What I love about this place is it feels authentic. Not some polished tourist trap trying too hard. This place has history in the walls. Bell Buoy has been around since 1946 and is one of the last remaining canneries on the Oregon Coast, still smoking and canning seafood in house with vintage equipment that somehow still hums along decades later. (Bell Buoy) You can taste that tradition the second you bite into anything they make. Everything in there just screams Oregon Coast excellence. Fresh crab, wild salmon, smoked fish, seafood stacked everywhere like a treasure chest from the Pacific Ocean. You walk in thinking you'll buy one little thing and suddenly you're walking out carrying enough seafood to feed a fishing village. No regrets whatsoever. The people working there were friendly, the products were amazing, and honestly it just made the whole day better. Places like this are why road trips to Seaside are dangerous for your wallet but great for your soul. I was stoked to leave with something that tasted that good. Absolute treat from start to finish. If you are anywhere near Seaside and you skip Bell Buoy, you are doing the Oregon Coast wrong. Five stars without hesitation.
