Looking for a local cafe in beautiful Cannon Beach? Bald Eagle Coffee House is conveniently located adjacent to an arts & crafts shop on S. Hemlock, the main road in town. Starbucks coffee is served, which I don't care for, but that would be the only negative for me. The lady running the cafe is so kind, friendly & welcoming. The selection of bakery items is limited & runs out quickly, for the cafe opens early. That's ok, because I just wanted some caffeine & something light to nibble on. Known for their homemade soups. Interior is quaint, rustic; vibe is local & casual; parking is limited but free street parking close by, small lot in back & additional parking in area behind next to other businesses. What was unbelievable was the early 2000's prices. Two 16oz coffees & two croissants for under $12? Unreal. A latte + pastry at Starbucks is about that much now if not more. Cute charming little cafe in Cannon Beach. We hot the marionberry scone and the blueberry muffin based on people's suggestions here. They were huge in size and super yumm-the only negative point being they both used a cinnamon base. It would have tasted better with a plain or vanilla base as the cinnamon/ginger taste was overpowering. They were so tempting tht we gobbled them up b4 taking pics. Service was very friendly and it is attached to a cutesy art gallery. I also got the coffee which was your average brewed cup. read more

So this spot was THE only coffee place on a Sunday morning that was open. I was like IDK but I need caffeine. I ordered a hazelnut oatmilk latte. And a toasted everything bagel. I was HONGRY y'all. I knew they wouldn't have vegan cream cheese so I brought my own. I'll tell you this. The service was excellent. The woman who was working clearly knew her regular customers and they loved her and this spot. I didn't like my coffee. At. All. It just didn't taste good. I drank it because I NEEDED the caffeine. But I can't help but love this place. If I am back, I'd definitely give it another try and tell her yo, I hated the coffee last time... suggestions? Because it is SO cute. It's got art everywhere and old albums. It's connected to an art gallery. So you can peruse while you wait. And there is some gorgeous stuff too. If I only had MONEY lol Now I say 5 stars service. 5 stars ambiance. And 5 stars value. I may not have liked my coffee but y'all. Y'all. Y'all. My bagel was FIYAH. Could have asked for a more perfect breakfast stop after a little trek around Cannon Beach. This spot is very cozy inside by being connected to a local art gallery. The staff seemed to be a father son duo who were nice and welcoming. The cappuccino was one of the best had along the coast! This is a cute little spot! The woman working was very nice and her presence added to the already cozy environment. There was some outdoor seating decorated nicely for Halloween. We got a piece of the berry sour cream coffee cake, bagel with cream cheese, a hot coffee and a chai with almond milk. The prices here are very reasonable and service is very friendly! I will say this seems like a somewhat popular stop and there was only the one woman working, so don't be surprised by a line even on a weekday. read more

I love this cozy little place and the very friendly couple who run it. It's Starbucks coffee, but done well, and the pastries are good too. If you're looking for a fluffy and moist on the inside, crunchy on the outside scone with the classic shape, go across the street to Sleepy Monk on one of the few days a week they are open. The scones here at Bald Eagle are more like a big, thick moist cookie. They are dense and rich, and totally delicious. I especially love the gingerbread scone. It is sweet and molasses-y, but also has a strong ginger flavor verging on spicy -- just the way I like it. The marionberry scone is like a giant snickerdoodle covered in oozy drippy whole marionberries. Also delicious. read more

First of all, thank you be being the earliest coffee shop to open in the area (at least within walking distance from my point of view). Given this is my 600th review, I'm glad it's special. Here's what I appreciated about your lovely coffee shop: 1. Charming, charming, charming--from the colorful gardens that welcomed us to the outside seating area, to the lovely greeting Barista Tom engages with customers, to the stunning local photos on beautiful card stock, to the reasonable prices. Truly, what's not to love? 2. The marionberry scones were calling to me--all the pastries looked wonderful. Still working off that COVD 15 gain, however. The display counter for the food was beautiful and tempting. Next time I'm in town, I'll enjoy something for breakfast. 3. I did a double-take when I heard the price for my 12 ounce brewed coffee--thank you for reasonable pricing! Truly, thanks--it feels good not to be gouged, even if Cannon Beach is, well, Cannon Beach. 4. The local photos on quality card stock with matching envelopes are stunning. I am not prone to impulse purchases, but I walked away with three beautiful cards of my favorite vistas of this special area. Actually, make that six because the cards are double printed--my favorite image has twin rocks (not its proper name) at sunset and with a full moon. Stunning. Again, reasonably priced. They are already hung in my home, reminding me of the beauty, peace, and ruggedness of this area. I'm not sure who the artist is (no photo credit on the cards), but these photos are perfect. 5. Compassion of the barista--when someone asked the busy barista about seating and if it's allowed to sit inside with the new Oregon post-pandemic guidelines, Barista Tom was kind and generous--"Yes, please sit. We have new laws now." Someone else engaged him--and he was busily making coffee drinks for the growing line of people--about the garden, he replied about waiting for the light to shift so he could take photos. Perhaps mystery solved? This coffee-slinging, one-man show is also the local photographer? Could be--meanwhile, whoever owns and operates BECH has created a gracious space that feels like coming home to all things easy, good, and reasonable. Bonus--there's an art gallery in the space space as BECH--I was there too early to enjoy that gallery, but it looks inviting. Arrive at 11 AM and after to wander through that lovely space. Double bonus--lots of cute dogs outside, calmly awaiting their owners. My homework: arrive next time to sample scones, enjoy coffee, buy more photo cards, and linger in the art gallery. Maybe pet someone's dog, with permission, of course. read more

It's been about 6 months since I've been here and it's still as good as I remember. This morning was an eggnog chai for me and a hot cocoa for my son and they were both delicious. We tried some new pastries as well and I honestly don't know which was my favorite. I also love the truly small business feel, and the two gentlemen behind the counter are gems. Great little coffee shop in Cannon Beach! They are closed on Monday and Tuesday, but thankfully we got to try them out as we checked out of our hotel on Wednesday. The owner was so welcoming and patiently took our order even though we kept changing our minds, but there were so many pastries to choose from! The blueberry muffin is huge and a little denser than most, but also not super sweet with a nice grain flavor. The raspberry scone went perfectly with our mochas and chai teas, which were made extra hot like we requested. Very reasonable prices too, so we'll definitely be back next time we're in town. read more

Small coffee shop right near the beach. It's located in the same space as the art gallery. There's a handful of tables inside if you want to sit for a bit. The prices are great and they have all variety of alternative milks (soy, almond, flavored, etc). They also serve soup and have some baked goods. A must -ho in CB. The owners Tom & Laurie have been friends for years. They serve the community proudly with great coffee & pastries but the jewel is the homemade soups. Stopped in for a late afternoon americano. Ordered the 20 oz americano with toffee nut syrup and a dash of oat milk. There are four espresso shots in the 20oz size. The total came to $3.25. Finally, a strong enough americano and the price was right. Went to Sleepy Monk yesterday and the three shot americano wasn't strong enough. Charming place, great service, but only one person working (with a smile). I came in for the adjoining gallery, but the homemade soups and bread in the coffee shop caught my eye. I'd been craving some hot soup that wasn't clam chowder. They had Hungarian Mushroom, and a vegetable curry, both were vegetarian. I'm Hungarian, & love mushrooms.
