Triple shot vanilla latte with oat milk
    Karla B.

Super underwhelmed with this place. I was eager to try this place with its high ratings, but the espresso was so bitter, I threw it away with 3/4 of the drink left. I ordered a triple shot vanilla latte with oat milk (See picture). The drink was so watery (rare for one with oatmilk), the espresso blend had to have been on the darker side leading me to think that's why it's so bitter and the drink was lacking vanilla. So disappointed with my drink. On the bright side, the staff was super friendly and the itself was a great place to meet up with others or work remotely.

Stopped into Seaside Coffee House for a casual breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The space is inviting -- not too big, not too small -- with a mix of seating that makes it feel both cozy and functional, whether you're catching up with a friend or just grabbing a solo moment with your coffee. The menu offers a great selection of coffee, tea and blended drinks, plus a tempting display of baked goods and breakfast options. I went with a classic drip coffee and their bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, which totally hit the spot. Service was friendly, and the whole place had a relaxed, local feel to it that made me want to linger a little longer. If you're in Seaside and looking for a great place to start your day, this spot is definitely worth a stop.

As soon as I walked in I knew it was my go to coffee shop in town and ignored all other shops. Although I did not sample any of the pastries they looked awesome! Michelle, the owner, made us feel right at home by providing truthful yet graceful facts of Mens inability to multitask when we asked for a job! No job for us but, she would gladly take our money. The shop was exactly what a coffeehouse should be, inviting and friendly. Thank you!

I ordered their blended Great White, which features white espresso blended with white chocolate. It was a delightful treat--smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. I tried their everything bagel breakfast sandwich. Toasted to perfection, it was packed with flavor and made for a satisfying start to my day. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly.

Good coffee, alternative milk, lots of choices including food and some gluten free bakery items and friendly employees...

Vanilla Cardamom Latte and a Nutty Fog Tea

This is a local's coffee spot, with incredibly cheerful and friendly staff. Local? They know your name. Tourist? They will ask about your home town. Great food, coffee, and tea. Locals were sitting around visiting with their coffees on the comfy couches and easy chairs. This is the coffee house that you wish you had down the block from your house.

Very good food the O.G. sandwich is exceptional. The service is good. VERY good ambiance!

Cute spot. Love the live plants everywhere. The decoration is a little tacky. Plenty of seating. Their toffee coffee latte was great hot. The highlight of the trip was our veggie express. I could definitely enjoy that another time during this trip.

In addition to great coffee, they offer sweet and spicy chai teas and many vegan milks like soy, oat & coconut. Marionberry scone is on point. What put it over the top today, though, were all the cute mini teapots filled with flowers on their tables!

I got an Arnold Palmer with an everything bagel and cream cheese (my go to every time!). Such a cute spot to sit, eat and hang out!

The coffee and tea is great, bagels, breakfast sandwiches and pastries are always yummy! Today a wonderful soul who was changing out all the flowers gave us a beautiful little arrangement to take home with our goodies, which if you're reading this thank you so much you made our day! Love coming to this spot every time I'm in town the people are always so great!

Sign wr have in New Orleans too!

    She says yes

Is there a way to contact the store? I think I left my phone there. I've tried emailing and calling the shop and no one is answering.

Have you ever gone to the Pig and Pancake and ordered a $16 plate of slop, wolfed it down, and then…read moresaid, "Oh God, what have I done?" Yeah, me too. That's why I've decided to stop hurting myself and go to the Chalkboard Cafe instead. The difference in quality of ingredients and cooking is apparent in the first bite. It really is a bit jarring. This restaurant makes everything from scratch, and I mean everything. Yesterday my son and I got two burgers and our potato salad and coleslaw sides were like sides my mother would make in her kitchen, not globs of shelf stable Reser's food-paste that were made two states over a month ago and sprayed with mortuary chemicals to stop their decay. The food at the Chalkboard is real food, not fake food, which brings me to my next point, dietary restrictions. If I had any dietary restrictions whatsoever, gluten sensitivity in particular, this would be where I would go for breakfast or lunch in Seaside. Chalkboard has gluten free biscuits and gravy available, delicious GF naan bread made by hand, and gluten free versions of popular bakery goods made in their small kitchen from scratch. Even if you don't have restrictions you can be assured that your meal will have 80% less total ingredients just based on the restaurant's ethics alone. They aren't taking shortcuts, they aren't bringing junk into the building in the first place, so junk never ends up on your plate. The service is stellar, the ambiance is charming and clean. You're out of excuses. You were wondering where you should go to eat, and now you know. Go to the restaurant where the locals take their own families - the Chalkboard Cafe.

But I didn't care too much for the flavor. Genuinely not good. And the cream cheese it came with, zero flavor, which was easily remedied by adding my own salt. The ambience and decor was quaintly charming, at first. But the more I looked the more understood that everything was creepy. Like witchcraft creepy.

Bagels by the Sea - Review…read more We stopped into Bagels by the Sea while visiting the area and had a mixed experience. Food & Drinks I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with a side of cream cheese and an Americano. Unfortunately, the bagel came with the cream cheese already spread on it and was wrapped up in a bag with other hot sandwiches. By the time we opened it, it was a bit of a soupy mess. My Americano tasted decent enough, but it was only lukewarm when it was served. I drank about half before it got too cold to enjoy. My husband ordered the Eggle Bagel with bacon and a white chocolate mocha. He said the bacon was good, but overall the sandwich didn't have much flavor. It was okay, but not something he would order again. The coffee was decent. My grandson had a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and a hot cocoa. His bagel ended up being a soupy mess as well because the cream cheese had melted after being wrapped up with the hot food. He did say the hot cocoa was delicious though. Atmosphere The atmosphere was cute, eclectic, and overall inviting. It has a fun little seaside café vibe that we enjoyed. Service Service wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't particularly welcoming. Staff weren't rude, but there wasn't much warmth either. One thing that puzzled us was that they toasted the bagel and immediately spread the cream cheese on it before wrapping it up, which made it pretty messy by the time we ate it. We also ordered our food to eat there but were given everything in a to-go bag, which added to the feeling that maybe dine-in wasn't really encouraged. Pricing Prices were about what you'd expect for a seaside town. Overall, it was an okay stop, but with a few small improvements in food prep and service it could be a much better experience. Would we return? Probably not. We would just look elsewhere for a better experience.
