It's not a waffle house (yeah i know that's going to go off well, but hey I grew up in the Deep South where these were staples. With that being said, this place is still a decent spot for breakfast! Service was always busy so that wasn't a good start as we were jockeying for attention as we were a full house that day and every one was needing something. So not too prompt or attentive to us (this effects tips from someone like me as I'm always tip above the Industry standard (was a chef for 10yrs). Now the ambience of this place was terrible, not to mention they placed us right next to kitchen dish area which was super busy and noisy. Wouldn't go back, yet I'd still recommend for the experience alone.

I discovered the Pig'N Pancake from a "gluten free near me" search while visiting Cannon Beach. Service was prompt and friendly and the restaurant very hospitable. Some of the best gluten free pancakes ever! Delicious flavor and stayed warm to the end.

Good enough food at good enough prices in a tolerable setting with good enough service. I came mid-week so it was pretty quiet. Nothing really outstanding or remarkable; your basic IHOP-meets-Denny's menu but in a more rustic diner setting. Completely average. Though I will say if you get a window seat, there's good people watching to be had, looking out on Broadway.

The food is always top notch, service is fast and really friendly. Cute little shop , great historical pictures on the walls. This is a must go place anytime we're in town and is a four generation favorite!

Old school diner with high prices, but it's Seaside and everything is now expensive. Their food isn't the best but it's generally edible, barring individual tastes (for instance, my nephew's girlfriend thought the crepes were too sweet). I did order a marionberry milkshake and that was pretty good. I don't know if I'd come back, but rather would find a place in Seaside or Cannon Beach to check out. There's no parking at this restaurant, but there is street parking and a parking lot down the block.

We were in town overnight and ate breakfast here on the way out of town. Typical diner layout, it was clean and the staff were welcoming. The menu had so many options it was hard to choose, but I picked the strawberry waffle and it was fantastic! Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well, but mine was the best ;) Highly recommend!

Staff was friendly, skillet was very tasty with crispy hash browns. Pancakes were warm and fluffy.

I was happy to see this restaurant on my way out of Seaside. They have a great breakfast menu with fun choices like chocolate chip pancakes, etc. I had the junior pancake breakfast which came with a tasty bacon and egg however you like it-just right for a smaller appetite. Service was quick and attentive with coffee refills offered frequently (he must have known that I'm not much good in the morning without my coffee.) The dining area is large with both booths and tables to sit at. They also have a selection of fun items to purchase if you're inclined. This is one of the nicer Pig 'N Pancake restaurants I've been to!

Really enjoyed the breakfast here, sausage and eggs was a good choice and the hash browns were nice and crispy. The coffee seemed a tad too strong for me as it had an overpowering taste but everything else was spot on for breakfast. If you're going to be in Seaside Oregon stop by here and grab some grub you'll love the food here.

Food was ok but nothing really special. I had Crepes and they were ok. The whipping cream was not real and came out of a bottle. My son had fish and chips. The lettuce had old ends in it. Looked like it had been sitting out too long . Service was ok. Not very friendly, just ok all around. Pricey for what we got..

I've been to Seaside many times and never stopped by Pig 'N Pancake. I'm generally not interested in chain restaurants with kitschy gift shops. But, today my husband wanted to try it so I agreed. I had the blueberry pancakes. I was pleasantly pleased. Pretty good! My husband had the sourdough pancakes and they were fine as well. The blueberry compote my pancakes came with was tasty as well. The food was pretty good and inexpensive. Our service was adequate. The server kept our coffee cups filled. The ambiance is about like you'd expect...gift shop featuring beachy themes toys, ornaments, etc. Not impressive but I guess if your grandparent bringing grandkids to beg for inexpensive toys this is the place for you.

Just had breakfast here and had the best eggs Benedict with crab I've ever had. I had them put the eggs and the holiday sauce on the hashbrowns and no muffin much better. Weight staff was very cute and fun. I'll Beyoncé is cute.

Great service, passable coffee, blueberry pancakes with a shrimp omelet was a crowd pleaser. Blueberry compote not too sweet, really great.

Food was super yummy and Riley took the best care of us! Could not recommend a better place for…read morebreakfast/brunch in seaside!!!! Very much looking forward to trying more of their menu:) thank you Riley!!!!!

Have you ever gone to the Pig and Pancake and ordered a $16 plate of slop, wolfed it down, and then…read moresaid, "Oh God, what have I done?" Yeah, me too. That's why I've decided to stop hurting myself and go to the Chalkboard Cafe instead. The difference in quality of ingredients and cooking is apparent in the first bite. It really is a bit jarring. This restaurant makes everything from scratch, and I mean everything. Yesterday my son and I got two burgers and our potato salad and coleslaw sides were like sides my mother would make in her kitchen, not globs of shelf stable Reser's food-paste that were made two states over a month ago and sprayed with mortuary chemicals to stop their decay. The food at the Chalkboard is real food, not fake food, which brings me to my next point, dietary restrictions. If I had any dietary restrictions whatsoever, gluten sensitivity in particular, this would be where I would go for breakfast or lunch in Seaside. Chalkboard has gluten free biscuits and gravy available, delicious GF naan bread made by hand, and gluten free versions of popular bakery goods made in their small kitchen from scratch. Even if you don't have restrictions you can be assured that your meal will have 80% less total ingredients just based on the restaurant's ethics alone. They aren't taking shortcuts, they aren't bringing junk into the building in the first place, so junk never ends up on your plate. The service is stellar, the ambiance is charming and clean. You're out of excuses. You were wondering where you should go to eat, and now you know. Go to the restaurant where the locals take their own families - the Chalkboard Cafe.
