    Halibut and chips

The food had great taste, especially the fries! halibut and chicken both were good, not greasy at all and very crispy although the portions were a bit small. Service was good, ambiance was good.

    Halibut sandwich with onion rings

It is a small establishment right off the highway. Service was prompt and friendly. Ordered Halibut Sandwich with onion rings and a salmon sandwich with tots. The halibut sandwich was two small filets, lettuce, tomato and onions on a bun with tartar sauce. The filets were "naked"aka no breading or batter and cooked perfectly. The 5 onion rings appeared to be a pre-cooked frozen product that's tossed in the deep fryer. The dipping sauce was ketchup. The blackened salmon sandwich needed more blackened seasoning again a couple small pieces to make the sandwich one cooked perfectly and the other a bit undercooked. The tots were plentiful and crispy crunchy with that light pillowy inside you want in a tot. Though the filets were not large, multiple pieces filled out the sandwiches to fill us up. I would go back and have another halibut sandwich but with tots! Sorry I didn't get a side view of the salmon sandwich

We came to the restaurant for breakfast and thankfully they were dog friendly. When trying to seat us on the patio there was a dog who was not friendly and we couldn't be seated. Upon leaving, the owner of the restaurant made accommodations by moving a table just outside the patio toward the parking lot and even offered an umbrella! They were so friendly and wanted our business! To top it off the food was amazing! Definitely worth stopping!

I Had chili burger and fries plenty of fries (too many for me) and they were perfect. Wife had biscuits and gravy with sausage and she said her meal was great as well. Very good service. Friendly and smiley. Highly recommended.

The PAPERED service dog that was made to leave.

A disable veteran tries to go in to a restaurant to have breakfast on vacation.. OH WAIT.. NO THEY DONT. They get rushed at the door and yelled at and made to LEAVE because they have a "dog" with them. We quickly told them it was a medical prescription alert dog.. to which they still yelled. We, quickly reminded them that it is a federal crime to not allow someone in with a MEDICALLY PRESCRIBED SERVICE DOG. (Not that this has to be proven AND you can't make anyone provide this MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION information.. but was in our pockets for these purposes). The woman LITERALLY TOUCHED THE DISABLE VETERAN TO GET HIM OUT OF THE DOOR FROM FULLY ENTERING!! Would you make a person in a wheel chair leave or make the blind leave a cane or their dog in the car? PROBABLY. Literally the worst people in the land. AND the place next door with rooms? You're a special kind. You can't make people provide papers (which we have). PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF ANYTHING YOU ENJOY read up on the laws. Now we're waiting for PD so we can get the names of the people that touched and denied someone that's disabled so we can leave a formal complaint. I ONLY GAVE IT A STAR BECAUSE IT MADE ME.

The service was wonderful. This was our dogs 1st time at a restaurant, and he was pretty anxious at 1st, but our server was incredibly kind and allowed him to calm down. He did well the whole time and allowed us humans to eat our meal. The Clubhouse sandwhich was delicious, great deli meat, fresh and filling. Onion rings were okay, and the tots were undercooked, but it wasn't awful. The kiddo got a cheese burger and said it was great!

Crispy hashbrowns, bacon, eggs - solid on the basics!

Great breakfast option if you stick to the basics! Service was quick and friendly, nice family-run business with everybody pitching in. Breakfast was a bit of a contrast, on the one hand the basic eggs, hashbrowns and toast was great but the crab benedict was a letdown. 3 eggs over medium (2 eggs broken), hashbrowns (nice crisp, see picture) and standard bacon - quite yummy, fresh and hot and plenty of jam choices, 4-5 stars. Eggs crab benedict was kind of pathetic. Maybe they ran out of crab but even after searching the whole plate we just found one tiny lump. Just a little guy, we were looking for mommy and daddy! 2 stars for that. Will definitely give this another try in the future!

Pie and fish n chips, oh my!

We found this little place by it's fish n chip review, and happy to find them open on a Wednesday, unlike many other places in the area. The halibut fish n chips were as advertised. Very good meal. I especially liked the option of a green salad in place of the Cole slaw. The portion was generous but not so much that I felt over full after the meal. Vanessa was a good server (the only one) and had to man the phone and take pmt as well. The atmosphere was a bit awkward upon arrival at 6-ish. Not much table talk despite several tables of couples (not the fault of the restaurant) and no music or TV on.

I'll start with the positive: The French Toast is probably the best I've ever had! My wife ordered the French Toast, and after I tried a bite of hers, I ordered a piece. All of the ingredients were fresh; but the prices are a little higher than they ought to be. I ordered the Biscuits and Groovy. Biscuits is plural in the name. If there were 2 biscuits, they were tiny. If there was only 1 biscuit, maybe rename the item Biscuit & Groovy. In either case, there wasn't a lot of gravy. The wait wasn't bad. 30 minutes for a table for 2 on a Sunday in February. Can't imagine the wait in the Spring or Summer. We ordered 3 cocktails. Total for all three was $41. These were easily the most expensive 'mocktails' ever. None of them seemed to have much liquor. You aren't going to get lit at Yolk. All in all, 3.5 stars. But I wouldn't go back. And I definitely wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes to dine at Yolk.

I don't like or eat fish, I was picking up an order for someone else. Despite my aversion to fish, as I sat alone in the car with the order, I smelled it. It smelled intoxicating. It really got my belly rumbling. However, my fiance, the rightful recipient of the fish and chips; told me it was delicious with a mouthful of halibut. Unprompted. I heard the slaw here was very good. I ate the slaw that came with her order. The slaw is beyond "very good". This is a masterclass in slaw. Bright, fresh, crunchy, and flavorful. This is a mature and civilized slaw. I drank the slaw water at the bottom of the little cup when I was finished. This is embarassing to admit but I don't regret doing this. I would do it again. Encouraged by how delicious the slaw was, I stole a fry from my darling when she was not paying attention. It's not fair to compare a french fry to a bite of serious slaw. But compared to other fries I've had, this fry is a well regarded and seriously respectable fry. Even after steaming in the takeout box during the short drive, and cooling to near room temperature before I managed to steal one, this fry held its crunch. The fry was flavorful enough to stand quite well on its own without dipping. A very yummy fry. As I type this review I'm thinking about the best way to pilfer more fries before they're all gone. Exceptional food. I won't allow this to be our last visit.

Sounds like fun and tasty so we left early on Saturday morning. We splashed in and played for a few hours. After getting out of the water we walked to the food cart restaurant on the bank of Nehalem river. When we walked up there was a sign "Waiting Time One Hour". Ok! It's a three day warm winter weekend so many people headed to the coast. We ordered beer and chatted away the time. This is a good food cart, outside seating on the river on the sunny day. The cart is associated.with the roadside store in the downtown. The back of the store has a covered deck with tables in case it rains. Prices are high, for three piece halibut with a dab of coleslaw and overcook cold french fries was $32. My friend had the three-piece cod for $26ish. My friend really wanted to try this place and she enjoyed the cod. I, on the other hand, have had better with Moore sloth and fries at other places on the coast., But you're here, right.
