Small and cozy ambiance. The service was attentive; however, the food was overpriced for the run of the mill quality served. Dispenser made hot chocolate was "grainy". Hash browns were the frozen shredded variety. Bacon was extra crispy and appeared to be precooked and reheated. Wife's French toast was good however the sided maple syrup was artificial and not real maple. All in all, the meal was adequate and took care of the empty spot but certainly not a $50 (before tip) breakfast. It is a small establishment right off the highway. Service was prompt and friendly. Ordered Halibut Sandwich with onion rings and a salmon sandwich with tots. The halibut sandwich was two small filets, lettuce, tomato and onions on a bun with tartar sauce. The filets were "naked"aka no breading or batter and cooked perfectly. The 5 onion rings appeared to be a pre-cooked frozen product that's tossed in the deep fryer. The dipping sauce was ketchup. The blackened salmon sandwich needed more blackened seasoning again a couple small pieces to make the sandwich one cooked perfectly and the other a bit undercooked. The tots were plentiful and crispy crunchy with that light pillowy inside you want in a tot. Though the filets were not large, multiple pieces filled out the sandwiches to fill us up. We both say lunch "Breakfast?" No, two lunch menus. We get handed one breakfast and one lunch menu and we go outside and sit. 10 minutes later I'm ready to leave and she comes out with waters. "I can't take your order now I have to take someone else's inside first" Ummm okay. She disappears again. Ten more minutes later we just leave. Time wasted +20min. They get rushed at the door and yelled at and made to LEAVE because they have a "dog" with them. We quickly told them it was a medical prescription alert dog.. to which they still yelled. We, quickly reminded them that it is a federal crime to not allow someone in with a MEDICALLY PRESCRIBED SERVICE DOG. (Not that this has to be proven AND you can't make anyone provide this MEDICAL PRESCRIPTION information.. but was in our pockets for these purposes). The woman LITERALLY TOUCHED THE DISABLE VETERAN TO GET HIM OUT OF THE DOOR FROM FULLY ENTERING!! Would you make a person in a wheel chair leave or make the blind leave a cane or their dog in the car? PROBABLY. Literally the worst people in the land. AND the place next door with rooms? You're a special kind. You can't make people provide papers (which we have). PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF ANYTHING YOU ENJOY read up on the laws. We came to the restaurant for breakfast and thankfully they were dog friendly. When trying to seat us on the patio there was a dog who was not friendly and we couldn't be seated. Upon leaving, the owner of the restaurant made accommodations by moving a table just outside the patio toward the parking lot and even offered an umbrella! We found this little place by it's fish n chip review, and happy to find them open on a Wednesday, unlike many other places in the area. The halibut fish n chips were as advertised. Very good meal. I especially liked the option of a green salad in place of the Cole slaw. The portion was generous but not so much that I felt over full after the meal. Excellent service and cute atmosphere. We chose to eat outside on the front porch. It was perfect. The waitress Jasmine was attentive and checked in us. Usually when you sit outside you get forgotten, not so here. I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the chicken fried steak special and it was really good. The crust wasn't too thick and stayed on the steak. The hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was a fantastic peaceful breakfast. We were hungry after stopping at several restaurants who were full and didn't have any restroom. Looks like a shady place from the street, but I've found several holes in the walls are true gems. That is not the case here. I would not recommend eating here. The food was not good at all. Biscuits in the biscuit and gravy combo which are "homemade" are either made last week and incredibly stale or they burnt them horribly and then scraped off the burnt color. Could hardly even cut them with a fork, stabbing them just as hard. The gravy is more like liquid half and half with some chopped up sausage. The scrambled eggs were typical hospital eggs. Sausage about the same as anywhere. Beef nachos were not good, kind of looked like canned beef poured on chips. The party couldn't even get more than a 1/4 through without a stomach ache. Crab cakes were frozen and of subpar quality for a place on the ocean, and for the price. Staff here is ok. Cute Hispanic family, which appears the dad is the Chef, and daughter and son as servers. Not very talkative, or helpful. Bathroom was atrocious. Hopefully you don't need to use it. If you do bring your own toilet paper, and be prepared to use your shirt as a mask of the horrific smells, and don't be too modest, as you can see the customers at the table outside the door in the large cracks. We won't be back, and we encourage you to be cautious. read more

Ordered the shrimp avocado benedict and it was possibly the worst meal I've had in years. A nearly raw poached egg with runny whites on top of watery bay shrimp of questionable age, browning avocado slices, powdered hollandaise and an untoasted soggy English muffin. While I'm glad to know the restaurant isn't the one spouting politics over breakfast, it's still an issue. If they don't like the flags either, they should renegotiate the terms of the lease or find a new location to work from. The waitress was very rude when my husband attempted to order tapping her notepad and rolling her eyes she then stated I'm very busy and I have to get back to the kitchen I sat there looking at the bathroom wondering if someone would come out and I would have to look at the toilet as I listen to her it was not very appetizing needless to say the food was actually not bad but served in a pretty gross atmosphere in my opinion my husband's oatmeal was very runny and also outside was a charming nest of baby birds which almost looked fake but we found out later was actually real I would really go a long way if this place would consider making their place a little more hygienic looking and having the staff have a little bit better attitude read more

Husband and I stopped in here recently and were happy to see indoor dining! The service was amazing and the owner was so kind. I had the Special Bleu Omelette which I thought was an odd combination but made me very happy. Bacon, spinach, onion, mushrooms and Bleu cheese topped with avocado. Yum! But seriously, our waitress is the reason for my review. MOLLY! She was amazing! You really are hit or miss (especially with 3 boys, 12/7/2!) at any restaurant, but she was awesome!!! Attentive, funny, pleasant and even brought the 2 year old a scoop of ice cream. Props to you Molly! My kids even remembered your name when we got back to Portland.
