Blue Moon Diner in Beaverton is truly a hidden gem . I stopped in for brunch over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised by how quick the service was and how friendly the staff were. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The classic diner vibes make the whole experience feel cozy and nostalgic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our meals were about $24.99 each -- a bit on the steeper side for diner food, but the portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and satisfying. Definitely one of those spots where you leave full and happy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating was cute and upholstery looked recently updated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathroom was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd absolutely come back again for the diner experience alone. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A cute, underrated place for a laid-back brunch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I am always impressed by the design of old-school diners. It feels like I'm stepping into a movie set![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While the food here is very standard, the portions are very big and the service is quite efficient. I got the Blue Moon omelette, which had a very strong mushroom flavor and was loaded with vegetables and sausages pieces inside. It was on the expensive side as the conversion rate to CAD isn't great, but apparently this diner was featured in a video game, so it's worth checking out if you're visiting the area!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The diner itself is cute and service was good![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came in for dinner, and the food was just average. We tried the tuna melt and chicken fingers which both came with fries. The fries weren't very good. Prices are a little steep for what you get. Folks around us were ordering breakfast items, so perhaps that is the way to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're hungry though it will do and if you want an old school diner feel, it will definitely deliver![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Went there to try their special menu. I ordered the pad Thai omelet and it was really good.

I really want to support smaller businesses & restaurants as much as possible. And I understand costs are skyrocketing so I know I'm going to pay more for meals especially when traveling. I don't understand the prices for the menu items for this cutesy retro diner-themed spot. It was really high for what you get. Mimosa was 3/4 OJ, the scramble had a TON of oversized chunks of potatoes, and the benedict was passable with one overcooked egg and one nicely runny egg. I want places like this to survive but it cost us so much and left unsatisfied and still hungry. Unfortunately I don't think we will be back the next time we travel to this area

Service was great, meal was plentiful and the coffee kept on coming! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute spot to have a bite to eat[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Step back into the 50s. This was a surprise stop and we are thankful we did. The food was fresh and tasty. We ordered our fries extra crispy and they were delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside diner car was so cute we had to stop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside had so much character.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was pleasant and friendly. When I asked what her favorite was she said the Ruben. She has good taste it was delicious.

Full Stop; If you're coming here because you're a fan of Life is Strange, outside of some graffiti in the restroom, the resemblance is all there is. Absolutely no hate or fault to the business but I really thought they'd take advantage of the mystic. Food is basic diner food and my server was an absolute sweetheart. Prices are a bit high for a regular dining experience but for a one off i enjoyed it.

We arrived about 20 minutes early to opening and the diner looked really appealing with its 50's diner design and shiny quilted pattern chrome exterior. Such a cool place! Almost out of place, but what an icon to be in Oregon. You would expect a diner in CA or along Route 66 but this was what we needed. Upon opening of the doors, we were greeted with 50's era music playing and thankfully an empty diner due to it just opening. Was able to get some empty set design photos, I'm sure they are busy and not always so open for a lucky photographer like me. At the chicken fried steak and it was actually pretty tasty. Didn't like the hashbrowns very much, but they weren't horrible. The toast was good, and the coffee was drinkable. The waitress was friendly and Down to Earth, which to me would bring me back before the food would just because that's the way I am with places. Looking forward to coming back and trying something different. Oh, the hollandaise sauce, was split and not very tasty. Other than that good ham and it was cut fairly thick.

Great Dinner! The staff is super friendly. We have visited three times and ordered different things and all have been good. One of my favorites dishes was the Liver with onions, mashed potatoes and vegetables. I loved it! But honestly all the food is definitely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a quiet place this has become our favorite place now.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you haven't already visited, try it, you'll like it too.,

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fantastic experience. A great authentic diner experience with some fun Thai fusion![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Super love this place. Very good staff, great coffee, great food! We will definitely be coming back here! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Prices are decent and atmosphere is so fun![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Jalapeño burger

My boyfriend has been wanting to take me here since he's been at this diner so long ago! It was a very unique 1950's style diner. I was craving for something spicy so I got the jalapeño burger ($16.99) and he got the bleu burger ($16.99). The fries were cooked to perfection, not too soft but not over cooked either. The burgers were also so delicious, especially with the bacon! They also asked how we'd like the burger done, which was surprising. It was definitely really filling. We also got coffee for $3.49 but the coffee seems overpriced in my opinion and wasn't worth the $3. The service was so fast and attentive! I really appreciated that about them. They came by quickly to get our order and even though it was packed there for lunch, our food came out at a reasonable time too. We are excited to come back for more burgers and to try the breakfast menu. I also saw a lot of people order the hot cocoa, so I am curious to try that next time!

    Club House Sandwich

Stopped by Blue Moon Diner and had a pretty decent meal! I ordered the clubhouse sandwich and substituted a Caesar salad for the fries. The sandwich was solid: fresh ingredients, nicely toasted bread, and the mayo had a slight sweetness that was a nice touch. It's hard to go wrong with a club sandwich, and this one didn't disappoint. However, the Caesar salad wasn't my favorite. The dressing was overly tangy for my taste, so I'd stick with the fries next time. The diner itself has a cute vibe and wasn't very busy when I visited. Service was good, nothing exceptional, but no complaints either. Overall, a decent experience. I'd probably return to try something else on the menu!

Inside is clean, bright but impersonal and generic. Maybe they just haven't had the time to put their stamp on it yet. The upsides - there is table service now and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I've ordered their Country Fried Steak with scrambled eggs multiple times now. Still a very good steak and sausage gravy. Either the steak breading of the sausage gravy was maybe a touch more salty than usual. The eggs were disappointing- scrambled eggs should be fluffy due to constantly stirring over low heat in a pan - and previously they always had been. This time they were a overcooked dense, dry puck, It was as if the egg mixture was poured out on the flattop, left and flipped once. Still eatable with hot sauce. Over all - they did hit a ball, but definitely no home run. It's unlikely that I'll be back.

We came on a Thursday morning right at opening (9am) and were able to snag a table inside for our group. The space is small inside but they do have a few outside tables too which is nice to enjoy in the summer time. Parking is standard street parking right on Broadway. We started out with Turkish coffees and Iraqi Tea. The presentation was beautiful and the complex flavors were so nice to wake our taste buds. We ordered the Beef Mix, Lamb and Eggs, Pastry #2 (hot dog, mushroom, cheese), baclava, and their special halawa to try. They were cooking right by the counter so the whole space filled with delicious aromas while we were waiting for our food. We all had full bellies between 3 adults and 2 kids and took home leftovers! You MUST get the Beef Mix! I don't even know how to describe how delicious this dish is to give it justice but it was definitely the group favorite. It came with salad and yummy boat shaped bread to scoop up all the flavorful goodness. Their house hot sauce took it to the next level. The baklava was the perfect amount of sweetness with the coffee and tea. It was our first time trying a halawa and we all loved the dense texture with a sweet taste. When we moved to Oregon, it was under construction but we kept hearing how good it was - in fact, all the local FB pages would gush about it when a newcomer would ask about the best restaurant. And once it finally opened, we tried it, but it was kind of like Marie calendars and Shari's, but local. Ok, but not what we had expected for all the hype. So, after trying a handful of options it seemed Bannings was the only place we could still get breakfast so I begrudgingly agreed. Well, I was mistaken! I got the breakfast enchiladas and a strawberry orange mimosa. Now, the mimosa - I'll get that out of the way first. It was weird - it looked curdled. It just had mashed strawberry at the bottom and it actually was quite good. I'd do a normal mimosa in the future, but good. But the enchiladas - delicious. Like, I'll come back again and again for those. And they didn't charge me extra for the avocado, which I think is righteous because I asked for no hash browns. But not all places would do that, they'd nickel and dime even if you passed on one side for another. Additionally; my husband likes a savory breakfast and a sweet one too - so he often gets two breakfasts and though he may not eat all of both he gets that savory and sweet. Well, the omelettes come with 3 pancakes. Perfection. And, I took 3 bites of them - I usually might try 1 or not at all - they are very very good. Last - it did not break the bank. I've about ruled out breakfast out because of how crazy expensive the places that should be reasonable are. This was reasonable - PLEASE DONT CHANGE!! All in all 5 stars, will be back for breakfast; and hey - when I'm wrong I can admit I was wrong! Give them a try if you haven't!
