Ahi Tuna Poke*
Gretchen M.

When you order three dishes and not one stands out as a good one, it's definitely a letdown. Sautéed Brussels Sprouts - didn't seem sautéed at all, they tasted more deep-fried. They were crispy but overly oily, and the creamy mayo-based sauce didn't pair well with them. This Appetizer took too long to come out. For the Ahi Poke Tuna - Glad I asked for the sauces on the side. Even with three sauce options, none really worked with the dish. One dark sauce tasted almost like molasses, overly sweet and not something you expect with poke. The chili sauce was also too sweet, while the soy-based sauce tasted excessively salty (fish sauce maybe added in it). I added malt vinegar myself just to balance the flavor. Also, it would be nice if the fish was seasoned with salt(or something) to alter the fishy flavor. The Fish & Chips was average at best. The batter was uneven, with some parts way too thick, though the fries were okay. Experience was not horrible, server was nice and ambiance inside is pretty. I just think the kitchen needs real work.

Veggie bowl with salmon.

We had a great meal on a Friday afternoon. The service was impeccable. Derek was very helpful and took our order swiftly. The food came up quickly and was as ordered. I got the veggie bowl with salmon it was fantastic. I would definitely order this again. The bar area was quite lively and loud as the after work crowd had assembled to celebrate the weekend. All in all a good time. I would definitely go again.

Copper River has become a frequented spot for us for happy hour. Their service at the bar is always friendly and attentive. They updated a few items on their HH menu and I really like the wagyu sliders and chicken tenders. They have more creative options than most happy hours and their drinks are delicious too!

Cheeseburger and mashed potatoes

We were staying in the area and wanted to try a place we hadn't been so we checked out Copper River. We went around 2:30 on a Monday so it wasn't that busy. We had the scratch made corn fritters for an appetizer which were tasty. My husband had the Chicken Pot Pie, he said it was pretty good. My son had the bacon Cheeseburger with fries. My daughter and I had the Cheeseburger. I got mashed potatoes for my side and they were delicious. We tried the Hot Scratch Made Donuts which were very good. Our waiter was great, kept refilling our drinks without being asked. The staff were all friendly. The place is clean and nice. The plants outside were pretty but one of them needed some water. If you find yourself in town and looking for some good food that has something for everyone, this is the place.

Scratch Made Corn Fritters

A group of us swung in for dinner. The service was really good, they were quick getting our order into we could take advantage of the happy hour specials. And the specials were great! We got some of the corn fritters, fries, and I tried the burger. It was way better than I was expecting. The toppings were fresh, the meat was juicy and well seasoned. The fries were beautifully cooked, with just the right amount of seasoning. Great service, great food!

One of our 2 favorite places in Hillsboro! Always great. My go to's are, Miso Salmon, pb&j burger, spicy mac and cheese, cali roll, fish tacos, and the lobster fettuccine. The new brunch menu on weekends is awesome too!

Happy hour after the move!

We discovered Copper River restaurant as we drove into Hillsboro. We decided to try it for a happy hour and we are absolutely thrilled to have found a new favorite place! We ordered several of the happy hour special items plus a porter, a stout and a hefeweizen. We ate the wagyu sliders, the California roll, the chicken tenders, the steak bites, the pear and Gorgonzola salad, and the spinach dip. All of the items were tasty, looked freshly prepared and served promptly, and artistically plated. Standouts for us were the steak bites, the California roll, and the spinach dip. Service was great! The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Good ambiance. Will definitely return to Copper River restaurant! Thank you for the excellent experience!

Watermelon Caprese Salad

First time here. We picked the place based on the diverse menu. The Pineapple cider on tap was delicious. We ordered the soft pretzel and California Roll appetizer. We also order the seasonal Caprese Salad Fisherman's Stew. Pacific Cod Tacos. The caprese watermelon salad is phenomenal. A must try if you like watermelon, cucumbers, and Mozzarella. So yummy! Our server was so quick and so nice. The food came up fairly quickly. The restaurant was fairly quiet for the number of people dinner indoor.

My favorite happy hour in Hillsboro! They make the best margaritas. Also, their seasonal turkey dinner is a must!

La Provence is still a very solid breakfast/brunch place, especially out the burbs. The portions…read moreare still pretty hefty though prices have gone up over the years along with everywhere else. I avoid brunch on the weekends because it's just too busy and chaotic but weekdays are pretty nice. It's good, but not waiting for half hour good. I also come in pretty often for bread and pastries though you have to get in early or things will sell out. Service is always fine. I miss when they were open for dinner/happy hour because I liked their food back then.

On August 28th I was part of a larger (14) group planning on having breakfast to La Providence…read moreOrenco Station. As we dribbled in we found our table setup and waiting for us with paper menus at each place. Very nice except for the fact that the paper menus had no prices on them. Since they do not do separate checks, each of us needed to know the price of our breakfast (plus 20% gratuity) so we could give the correct amount to our group leader to pay the bill after the meal was done. There was some unpleasant discussion with the host about the menus and pricing and why we could not order from the regular menu. The hostess told us the kitchen could not handle large groups so we had to have a reduced menu...surprising since this has never happened at any of the other La Providences we have eaten at as a group. My feeling as were some of the others is we are certainly not valued here, and the kitchen is more important that the customer. Not a good way to start off the morning. The wait staff (very pleasant) took our orders and then in a short period of time began delivering our orders...I do take exception to the waitstaff handing the person their plate rather than sitting it in front of the person. This is never more apparent as when they tried to hand a blind man his plate which of course he could not see. How embarrassing and rude! My food came and after just three small bites I could no longer stomach the dish (Tiramisu French Toast). I stopped eating and pushed the plate away. I will note that another one in our group had the same dish and ate the entire thing. When the waitstaff came to clear our dishes, she asked me if I wanted a box. My reply was "no, the dish did not taste good". At that point she said "you should have told me and I would have gotten you something else". I was a bit indignant that she thought I should run her down somewhere in the restaurant to tell her about the bad food...it is her job to make sure everything is OK. (she never came by after serving the food to ask if everything was OK). So, my reward for sitting through the hostess abuse when we came into the restaurant and then being served inferior food was to pay full price for my three bites of food that upset my stomach plus a 20% gratuity. At the very least this meal should have been comped! This is just bad management all the way around. My family has been in the restaurant business for 50 plus years, if we treated out guests like this, they would never come back. AND I never will come back to this restaurant who is so disrespectful to the customer! Shame on you!!

What a cozy, quaint and gret vibe coffee house in Beaverton…read more Service is outstanding. As soon as you walk in you are greeted nicely by a staff member. This place has food like waffles, sandwiches, soups, pastries (including gluten free options), coffee with some signature drinks ans various syrups made in house. Symphony has so much potential. i really hope the owners of Symphony will make some changes to make this business more desirable.
