My first visit to Malone's Ale House was for lunch on the Monday after Thanksgiving. It was very quiet inside with only a few other people besides my friend and I. The place was very clean and well maintained. The lady behind the bar, who was also our server, welcomed us when we entered. We chose a comfy booth but there is table seating and a nice outdoor patio too. Our server was quick to take our order and our drinks arrived soon. My Bloody Mary was tasty. Our food took a little while to arrive but was very good. My friend enjoyed his chicken guacamole wrap while vegetarian me ordered the Popeye omelet sans bacon. There are a few items on the menu that are vegetarian friendly but I'd really like to see more of them. A veggie burger and veggie sandwich perhaps? There is a video gambling room off to the side if you enjoy that. My friend and I both enjoyed our first visit to Malone' Ale House and would definitely return. read more

The food is really good for what it is, and the staff is very friendly and helpful outside of one experience with a bartender we had. After speaking with other patrons, apparently this particular bartender is known to be "grouchy". I really like this place. It is very close to my house. They have karaoke, great happy hour prices, good bar food, plenty of beers on tap, bar games, and enough TVs to watch all the March Madness games at the same time. Pitchers of beer cost around $14 to $17. I was able to get a big plate of BBQ nachos for less than $7. Wings and fries only cost $7. The happy hour items are smaller than the regular menu items. My friends and I were able to sing karaoke, play pool, try Jenga, and watch college basketball games. It was a great time. I feel compelled to update my review after the incredible evening we had at Malones last night! I had contacted Larry, the owner about a surprise 50th birthday for my bride. He had everything set up, water on tables, all my pre-ordered appetizers out and ready when everyone arrived. Courtney, our hostess was incredible! Never forgot an order, tended to us often, and was so cheerful and bubbly. I can not thank Courtney enough for being so accommodating to a big group. What a truly great experience. Bartenders are pretty moody here and seem like they don't want to serve you. Heard one complaining saying he's trying to make money here. The bar had a few round tables surrounding it, which was weird, so I was unable to sit at the bar. Sat at a table with a few random people and asked the waitress for food. She said, "if you ordered your drink at the bar, then you have to order food at the bar". She was taking orders from everybody at the table I sat at except mine. The fries were crispy and the burger was fresh and a good size. The French dip was fresh and delicious with not salty aus jus. Since retirement a couple of years ago we've eaten at many restaurants. We have gone to Malone's the past two weekends in a row to watch the Oregon Duck games. We weren't expecting a lot the first time -- just looking for a place to watch the game and get something to drink and maybe eat. However, we had such great service the first time that we returned again the next weekend! We had the same server both times -- Brittany -- and she has been awesome! First things first - noise level isn't loud, it's INSANE. Like shriek at your companion loud just to be heard. I know bars aren't meant to be quiet, but it was really, really re-donk loud and that's not OK in my book. Other than that, a good local bar. We went on a Saturday night and while the place was indeed hopping, we were able to get beers at the bar & at our table in a quick manner. Plus they have Jello shots and I am a sucker for a jello shot or two (but not three, no no, we have learned!!!). Also like the beer selection!
