The lady who works on Wednesdays, absolutely hates her job. If you make her smile you deserve a mother fucking Grammy . The food is mediocre, even though the chef looks like he was a 5 star chef in prison. He at least tries and puts out good food. The bathrooms need a touch up. Always out of paper towels. The poker room is clean. Some regulars act important. But you can tell they aren't. Especially the ghetto loud ones. read more

This is one of my daughter's favorite dive bars! Cheap food and drinks! Video lottery! There isn't any vegan food to speak of. There are menu items that can be made vegetarian. I met my daughter here for lunch. She used to get excited about Taco Tuesday, but they don't offer that till 5pm on Tuesday. For my lunch, I got a tortilla wrap with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Would be nice if they had a vegan dressing, but I settled for lemon to squeeze on. I got a diet Coke, but was told they could make me an iced tea. I played the video lottery and won $20. I quit while I was ahead. My lunch was $6, I tipped $2, and brought home an extra $12 that I didn't have! How fun is that?! Just remember that video lottery is for entertainment purposes only! "For Locals Only" Sad choices for outsiders! The seats are torn, the floor looks like a strip mall, the lighting sucks, the pool is free. The bathrooms are always full. I'm not going to totally punish this place- the bartender was at least decent to us. Went in and were greeted with evil looks all the way around. Mostly regulars that did not want you in "Their" bar. Was gunning for a seat at the bar and this guy looked at us making sure we didn't sit in his seat- God Forbid!! Had to go to the bathroom this place had another one of those one stallers. Someone was camping out in there, just didn't feel welcome. Had my one drink and got out. Usually have people we talk to everywhere- never have had trouble meeting people.. But damn. I like dive bars, but this is BEYOND dive. Tables, seats, bathrooms are all sticky and gross. Food??? Don't even go there. The worst of it is the Day Bartender/Manager, Brandy. When I say "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" I want to qualify this by saying "Dive Bar"... This is my local bar hang out and I'm sure a lot people have one near them that they enjoy. This place is not about how clean the bathroom is, or how great the food is or how new the furniture is. The bartender probably won't give you a Walmart greeting when you walk in, but take the time to become a regular and they will. This place is quite spacious. I came here to play pool with a friend, but that didn't really happen haha. I came after work and was super hungry. So I ordered fish and chip and a drink called scooby snack that was on the special that day and I paid only $12-$13 with tip and everything!!! normally I pay that price for just the food so I was quite a happy camper. Just absolutely frightening. Came here after O'Brien's, which is what it is, but in a town filled with low-expectations bars like O'Brien's and Joe's Pastime, even this is bad. The clientele will either play the Lottery all night or drink with a thousand-yard stare that makes you think they've seen some shit. I don't doubt that they have. There are a lot of lost homes, lost souls and lost teeth in this place. As the cornerstone of an '90s strip mall, I'm guessing it was a prize in its day. That day has long passed. Even if you're a local, assess your life before coming in here. If you have nothing to lose, it might be worth it. If you value existence, maybe go up the street to Ambacht, have a glass of the Golden Ale and keep your faith in humanity. read more

It's a LOCAL pub. Staff was friendly and fast. Drinks were solid. Decent offerings of beer. It's a dive bar. And as long as you accept that, enjoy. There's pool tables and 2-3 video games. More tables than you would expect. However for a Saturday night, they did seem a bit overwhelmed, but handled it amazingly. read more

I love this place for its reliable hilarious shenanigans. Its Sunday afternoon now, my feet are sore from dancing all over the place while singing karaoke. Apparently they recently had an upgrade on that. New booth and better kj and everything.I have had some amazing fish and chips there, and they have a decent happy hour menu. Coyotes has a better one. But I can sing "Fuck you" by Cee Lo green at this bar, and Coyotes wont let me. There are lots of regulars, like other reviewers have said. But if you've been there more then once they all seem to know you. People camp out in the bathroom too long sometimes. And if you're going for men, don't. This place is fun for ladies nights and hanging out with your already attached friends. I always seem to get stalked by an incredibly unattractive guy who thinks he can sing when I go, to the point where I cannot let them down lightly. I've learned that this is more funny then annoying. If you live out in the area (I live five minutes away) and are searching for karaoke where you will get to sing, Saturday nights are always awesome. I got there at 9:30 last night and sang six songs. This is my go to spot for me and my friends. Most of the bartenders are great, until today and meeting the new "cocktail waitress." I'm not sure if she just hates women, or if shes just bad at surveying and serving those who come first to the bar, but she ignored me for a good 10 minutes while I waited to order food. Finally I ask for a menu and mention I feel invisible, to which she kindly replies "yea you kind of are." This is after I waited at the end of the bar patiently for a menu, at the same time three other Male patrons approached the bar in that time frame and every single one she decided to serve first. She knew I was there waiting for service and plain ignored me. To a prior server/bartender, that doesn't fly. I hate to bring money into it, but I always treat my tenders to a rather generous tip, to which I feel bad that tonight I just did not want to give her much, therefore the other bartender suffered. I've been coming here for 15 years. I wouldn't put this up as as the classiest bar in the world but it's a damn fun place and your $ goes alot farther here than coyotes. I am definitely one of the locals though (along with Cliff, Bob, Tenessee, Rob, Rhonda) and I don't really see shunning people coming into the place like one of the other reviewers said, it's not that kind of a bar. it's a fun place with friendly people and good food (francesca makes the goods!)....the prices are also quite fair on drinks and food. The bartenders are way cool and really make it a point to learn your name if you come in more than once. The bartenders...Brandy, Audrey, and Shirley will ensure your glass stays full. Pool tables are plentiful and well spaced, there is a kickass HD golden tee machine, and if video poker is your thing that's off in it's own little area too. If I had to have one gripe I'd have to say the bathrooms need updating to accommodate more than one person but that's minor since I usually can get right in anyway. read more
