Chicken tinga tacos
Scott H.

Amazing and flavorful dishes. Birria tacos, mole enchiladas, and chicken tinga tacos were all very good. Great service too!

Cute restaurant with a fireplace. The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and delicious, and our server was friendly and welcoming. After about 10-15mins, I was told birria dish I ordered was unavailable, which was disappointing. I ended up ordering the carne asada, which was good--a solid, reliable dish--but not as exciting as the birria I had hoped for.

Really solid pico de gallo and fresh salsas. Especially appreciate the crunchy freshly cooked chips with our pico. Came in on Sunday. Luis our server, was friendly and helpful. We ordered camarones diablo (our favorite dish) and tortillas papas (potato stuffed corn tortillas.) The vibe in the restaurant is so calming w not over powering music. I especially love the cozy fireplace and natural light from windows. We look forward to coming back to explore the birria and other tacos.... It's a little expensive (would like a lunch menu), but the food is well crafted and service excellent!

Rice and beans for tacos were forgotten despite having clarified yes. Portions are exceptionally small- lateral angle to emphasize how little was in these. There is more to report in terms of service as I waited, but ultimately not certain I would go back.

Service was excellent, but sadly not the food. Mole Enchiladas, the chicken was dry, and the entire dish was barely warm. Out of stock of the Ribeye-Arrachera was also barely warm. Lastly, decorations needs cleaning and repair.

I dined in for brunch with my friend and our daughters, it's a very kid friendly restaurant that offer a lot of delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. the ingredients are very fresh, the service was good and we enjoyed our cocktails from their drink menu. highly recommend

DISCLAIMER: My food reviews in Mexican restaurants since mid-2022 are ONLY about tacos, which should be mastered by the establishment. OVERALL Very few Mexican food eateries can go from a taco truck with authentic and exquisit food, to a full-fledged restaurant that maintains the food quality, service and provides a great ambience. Casa Lola Kitchen de Mexico still has work to do with their food and service, considering the high price point. FOOD Great presentation! Kudos for using the blue corn tortillas, hopefully other restaurants took advantage of it! My recommendation is the Birria and Rajas tacos ($5 each). The Steak and Pastor tacos ($5 each) were dissapointing to me... I consider these staples of any Mexican restaurant! Also, pricey for tacos! :) The totopos (Chips) seemed very lonely, either because they had only pico de gallo and no salsas nor refried beans to go with them or because they were a bit dull. The enchiladas ($18) with chicken (Add $3) and the tees leches cake were OK. The arroz con leche ($6) was just too watery. SERVICE Food didn't take a very long time (About 15 minutes) but it would have been nice to not have to ask for more water a couple of times when there are only 2 tables occupied. They seem understaffed. AMBIENCE Loved the place! Great decor with funny callouts that probaly only some people of certain age or background can understand, like the copy of The Beetles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" using Mexican characters, that was very clever!

Why is there a dish with chicken on the vegetarian part of the menu? do you have any vegan options?

I'm sure chicken on the vegetarian menu is a mistake. There are a number of vegetarian options on the regular menu. And I'm sure you can request no meat on many other items. They are very accommodating.

The crispy pork stir-fry is -- perfectly crunchy, super savory, and easily the best in the area (my husband is obsessed). Pad Krapow was done right with fragrant basil and a legit crispy fried egg, and the fish Pad Cha had that unmistakable Thai herb aroma with a nice spicy kick. If you're into real Thai food and not the watered-down stuff, this spot is a must. We're already planning our next visit.

Friday, we decided to get takeout and were near progress ridge, and decided to pop into the shopping center to see if anything sounded good. Alas, there's a new wing stop so just husband was sold. So I thought finally, let's try this Thai place! Got my obligatory pumpkin curry and beef, and mango sticky rice. Both were very good. The curry, very flavorful, albeit in need of a little salt, but that's ok - we don't eat a lot of salt and takeout sometimes doesn't feel so great because it has a lot. The mango sticky rice - good, black rice a little al dente for me but a-ok. Fast forward to today - on my way home from a nail appointment and my husband and I are texting about dinner plans and he asks where are you - I say progress ridge, and he says what do you want? I said maybe Thai but I know you don't want that- want wing stop? Sure enough he looks at the website and says I want to try the Khao Soi and the sweet potato appetizer. What?! This guy has never once had Thai with me in 19 years! So, I decided to try something different and got the massaman curry, and the pad se ew noodles as well with shrimp. So I ordered everything pretty sure he wouldn't like it (but I would) and Khao Yai folks - HE LOVED IT. For me, never tried that kind of curry and may never get anything else.... Sooooooo delicious, roti, amazing. Pad se ew noodles - great. Didn't need them but they'll make a great lunch or second dinner. All in all I am doing a happy dance because we found a good, reasonable Thai place - and the cherry on top - my husband loves it too!

I ordered the barbacoa tacos and they were delicious! Substantial portions and came with a tasty rice on the side. I also had a beer on tap and was impressed by the diverse list of options. The best part of the experience was the service from Kennedy as a quality member of the Ridge team. Kennedy was very attentive and friendly throughout our visit! At one point, Kennedy offered our party an extra pour of spirits that was accidentally made by the bar staff. It was comped so that it wouldn't go to waste... what a thoughtful, very unexpected gesture! Everything else is consistently great -- I just hope the glassware issue can be addressed.

For the past few months or possibly more, there is a server/closing-manager (male Caucasian, glasses, ponytail) who only reluctantly provides the HH menu. About two months ago, I asked when HH started, and he said in 7 minutes (i.e., it was 9:53pm). I asked how much I'd save on the beer I was contemplating if I waited for 7 minutes, and he said a dollar or two, so I told him I'd wait until then to place my order. It seemed like a pretty light day, yet he took a full 20+ minutes to come take our order -- it felt like he was punishing me. Last night, it was 10:10pm and I asked if there was a HH menu. He said "not yet." I thought he meant that they hadn't yet been published, but when I went to the bar to say hi to someone I know, I saw a HH menu already on the bar. I'd already ordered off the regular menu, and chose to not change to something on the HH hour just to avoid the conflict. I have no idea what is inspiring this behavior. Perhaps people who order off HH menus don't tip well? In any case, this new HH attitude has definitely dampened my enthusiasm for Fireside. Which is sad since it still has a great tap list and menu.
