Went to the taphouse the other night for their weekly trivia event and had a phenomenal time! The event was hosted in the front part of the restaurant next to the big stone fireplace. Overall, it was very well run and executed... the top three teams won gift cards to the restaurant and it felt like a very supportive environment for having fun in a low stakes situation. In addition to participating in the trivia event, I had the apple fig burger, and it was very tasty! I also looked at the drink menu and the options were very plentiful. The highlight of the entire visit was receiving exceptional service from Jessica on the taphouse team. Jessica was thoughtful and polite and attentive and really lovely. Thank you, Jessica! I really like the setting that's next to a lake with a water feature. I would definitely come back in the summer to chill on the outside patio and enjoy the outstanding service experience. Lunch with a view is my favorite. Especially while you are trying to unwind and transport yourself to a calm space to enjoy company and a good meal. This was my very first time here and I was very impressed. Service was top notch, the food was very tasty hitting so many notes. We were too full to try dessert but they have a few very enticing options. I will maybe start with dessert next time to ensure I get to try it! I love coming here especially on a nice day with a lake view. The service is so nice and checks in. They have great flat breads and wings. The old fashion or whine on tap are great options. Great place, great vibes, pleasant and professional staff and delicious food. Our server was Britney, she greeted us as soon as we were seated and went over the specials for the day and from there got our appetizers & drinks rolling. We order one of the specials and regular menu item, 10/10. During our meal the manager Eddie, stopped by to introduce himself and check in on things were tasting. Love seeing management being visible on the floor and table checks. He also was running food and clearing tables. White Cheddar and Swiss Fondue (bread, veggies, and fruit) it complements the two cheeses very well (it could've been hotter). Our Mains were French Dip it was tasty but, a little fatty the chips (French fries were absolutely delicious w/ a unique shape). Halibut and Chips was seasoned well, flaky, and piping hot. We ordered the same drink i am not a drinker but, it tasted really good (Bae finished them both) Service~We had the most darling waitress, she was very bubbly and, attentive to all of our needs (including other servers)! The service was excellent I'll definitely return sooner than later. Ambiance~We went on a Saturday afternoon they have different events during the week including brunch (Saturday and Sunday Morning) Happy Hour (Monday-Thursday after 3 or 4pm). The dining area inside is very nice but, we chose to sit outside to enjoy the breeze, pond with ducks and geese, with bio falls so beautiful. One star because i actually love their food however I recently went there for this past Mother's Day. I wanted to take my mother in law out and it was my very first Mother's Day, I brought my 5 week old. I've never had worse service. We made a reservation because we knew it would be a busier day and requested seating next to the water which was told that was possible. We showed for our 10am reservation and was placed at the furthest seating from the water. We were also the first people sat on the patio. 4 tables were sat after us and with larger parties (we were a total of 3) we didn't receive water until 20/25 minutes of waiting, by then the other tables had already been brought appetizers and drinks. We were also told they couldn't move us because they were reserved even though we had also reserved and was told we could do one of the closer tables, they eventually moved us a little closer nothing great. My husband got up for the second time to complain about not even being able to order drinks yet. We ordered drinks and our food at the same time around 10:35am finally. By 10:45 we had still not received any drinks which were only mimosas and coffee. At that point we got up for the third time to complain and the food was delivered at that point with still NO drinks. They finally brought it over we ate quickly and was gone by 11am. I would have had more drinks but we were all so mad we didn't care to stay longer. They did not comp or discount anything for all we went through and honestly made my first Mother's Day morning pretty shitty as I not only was upset with the service but then had two others only focused on how upset they were that non of us could just sit and enjoy our brunch. The fact that we had to talk with someone 3 times (the manager in fact) is INSANE to me. Do not recommend! read more

I went here for the first time yesterday after having passed it for years, immediately when you walk in you feel this very homey feeling with the open kitchen and the couch seating! We were immediately brought to a table in the back, showcasing how large the place really is, without being able to tell from the outside! Our server was on it, making sure we has everything we had with water refills coming in so quickly! I ended up getting the french dip and it was such a great choice! The host recommended we try next door at Murrayhill taphouse and let us know it's a sister company. So, we went over to check out the menu and were pleased to find they have brunch and it's a great brunch menu! Service was great, we were seated right away, food came fast and it was great! I was visibly seated on a stool facing the bar wait staff, yet no one paid a lick of attention of attention or consideration that i was there as a paying customer and would happily do their job for a nice tip. I came here for dinner, sat outside on their patio. I ordered a pear martini with the Sesame Chicken Ginger salad - it was not only a wonderful pairing but full of fresh flavor! My partner ordered a beer with their Cajun Shrimp Mac & Cheese - it was delicious & full creamy goodness. Our server & staff were friendly, very attentive, & offered great recommendations & conversation. The decor inside is cozy & beautiful, and the outside patio is clean & warm with multiple fire pits, plenty of tables, & a wonderful calming view of the lake. Dinner with wife and In-laws while son is taking in the Hops Game. Ok so I find out that this restaurant is directly across the street from Planet Fitness. The restaurant is set a pretty peaceful location considering all the traffic around it. There is a nice fountain set in the middle of a man made (guessing) lake, and there is outdoor seating overlooking it. When we arrived my in-laws had already acquired a table, but upon sitting down I heard that there was some drama between the manager and the front end help. Apparently decisions were made without approval. I also heard that apparently a large party just decided to sit themselves in the back room (how rude). Anyway after all the juicy gossip, I looked at the menu. It wasn't very interesting to me. I was thinking about a chicken strip dinner. This is usually available at family restaurants, but for some reason it was only on the "Kids menu". I was advised that there wasn't an age limit to go order off of it. Wasn't exactly what I was going for, but I took it under advisement. After looking over and over the menu, I finally decided on the kids fish and chips. Apparently I missed the "adult" version on the menu and just assumed it wasn't offered as well. Honestly it was only $10, i think the adult version was $18. Not having coleslaw wasn't a deal breaker and the two piece portion was enough. My wife thought the spicy salad was very spicy, my FIL got the spicy burger, my MOL got the steak frites, and surprisingly my daughter got the summer salad and made a pretty good dent in it. I kinda liked the fries. Kinda a cross between steak fries and curly fries. Definitely quite easy for ketchup to land on. My fish was good. Fried well and not oily. This isn't a restaurant that i would ask to go to, but it was ok. George was very nice. He took his job of keeping our water filled up very seriously. read more

It was our first night in town for a wedding and we were all hungry. I quickly checked yelp and found this place. Looks perfect...and it was. First off, it's very nice inside and the service is really great, our server gave us great suggestions on local beer and food. The Blueberry Muffin sour from Great Notion Brewing was wonderful, it was a great recommendation from our server. He also knocked the appetizers out of the park, I think they were both specials. First it was some really delicately fried artichokes and a puff pastry caramelized onion tart with Burrata and balsamic, both really good. My wife got the Apple Fig Burger which was amazing, with apple, arugula, bacon fig jam, onions and goat cheese it was perfectly cooked, a good size and really balanced. I got the Shaved Chicken Club with bacon, avocado, and a pesto aioli which I wasn't crazy about, it was a distraction, But that's just me, I am not crazy about pesto. It was still a very good sandwich even with that, it was well constructed which can be an issue with slippery stuff like tomatoes and avocado. The thing I loved most was the sidewinder fries, I had no idea what they were and usually not the biggest fry guy (unless they're fresh cut) but these had great texture and crunch. Stopped in for a cucumber margarita and "just a snack" and somehow tried half the appetizer menu--no regrets. The fried zucchini? Some of the best we've ever had, perfectly crispy and not greasy. Coconut shrimp came with a sweet mango sauce (no chili kick, which was actually kind of nice). Buffalo wings? Yummy. Elote was great - and the first to disappear from the table. The deviled eggs were good but didn't steal the spotlight with everything else going on... Anywhere else and they would be a star. Big shoutout to our server, who went above and beyond for a member of our party with multiple food allergies. They double-checked ingredients and made sure everything was truly safe (and even confirmed whether it was preference vs. medical need), which made the whole experience so much less stressful. Service was friendly, attentive without hovering, and we felt genuinely taken care of. We would come back, but the evening wasn't without a few hiccups. First, their reservation system asks for inside vs outside seating - which they weren't aware of. No foul. Second, we had trouble deciding on our drinks, and our server was out of patience - guessing that wasn't on us since we just got there. Drinks, once we ordered were OK. I ordered a martini - it was fine, nothing to write home (or Yelp! see what I did there?) about. In retrospect I should have ordered a beer. We also ordered dinner, which took longer than I would have expected, there were very few people inside - but something tells me they were all under the same server's section. The food was good, not great, but portions were fair, prices were fair (thank GOODNESS) and not the usual price gouge for a kernel of bread we're starting to see of late at other places, the service was just meh. The inside is, someone said cavernous, and I concur completely. Huge ceiling, big bar, outside beautiful seating by a lake, if you don't mind pesky yellow-jackets - which I do, so we opted inside, hence my mention about reservation system asking inside vs outside. read more

The Taphouse is located next to a pond with a great outdoor space. It was a packed places tonight, we were seated quickly but it was next to the kitchen, it was very hot and loud . The wait staff was friendly and attentive. It has an ample bar area, raised booth seating and ground level tables throughout the rest of the building. The menu is a little limited, we ordered the fish and chips, good sized fish but the batter was very soggy, hope they sort this out. It is also served with curly style fries. We also had the Po Boy shrimp sandwich, it had a lot of shrimp and a lot of flavor I would recommend it. The chop salad serving is huge, and well prepared. It was a bit overpriced for the food quality and lack of options but the atmosphere was great and close to home. read more

Yesterday, Tuesday October 23, 2025 my husband and I went to the Taphouse for lunch with our small dog. I went inside to see the hostess who brought us to an outside table, and brought us our menus. We waited at our table for close to 15 minutes and NO ONE came out to see us about placing an order. So we left. We will never come back to the restaurant. We have enjoyed meals inside in the past. Whenever I am dogsitting in the Progress Ridge area, I reach out to a friend in the area to see if she wants to go to lunch. I ask her where she wants to go, and she almost always says Murrayhill Taphouse! I arrived first, I asked for a booth and was promptly seated and asked if I wanted a drink while I waited. I got an iced tea. Since I arrived before my friend, I asked a couple questions about the menu. I also asked if the booth didn't work for my friend if we could move to a table more accommodating, my only request is that I could have a seat with padding. Most of the chairs at tables looked like hard wood seats. It did look like a few chairs were padded and the waiter said he was sure he could produce a padded chair if that situation arise. My friend arrived and said the booth was fine. I ended up getting the Spinach & Farro salad. marinated pickled onions, fennel, sliced strawberry, spiced pumpkin seeds, goat cheese, fresh mint, lemon dijon vinaigrette. I asked if the vinaigrette had dairy, was told no. I asked that the goat cheese be omitted, which it was. It was a pretty good salad! My friend got the Three Meats Pizza Board. She asked if there were any veggies on it, it does not come with veggies. She asked if they could put onions and garlic, and they were accommodating. The restaurant has a nice view of the man-made lake, and we could see a fireplace that added to the ambiance. Will was an attentive waiter. He checked on us many times. My friend ordered a wine, and when it arrived, it was a red wine. She was surprised, thought she ordered a white wine. She couldn't remember if she said Blanc after Sauvignon. But he promptly replaced the wine with Blanc. It was a fun experience with my friend! Definitely would come back in the future! read more

Me and my girlfriend have been coming here since opening day and it has always been one of our favorite spots to eat since. The service is phenomenal, including Saj, one of the bartenders, who is always so friendly, and kind and we're always looking forward to the conversations we have with him. Never a dull moment at the bar top, he takes excellent care of us. The food never disappoints, always delicious and the rotating seasonal stuff is usually pretty solid as well. Love the atmosphere of the place, there's a beautiful fountain outside in the big pond off murray Blvd that can be seen from just about anywhere in the restaurant, patio seating is great and has heaters for the colder days.
