First of all i will state the ambence, service and enviroment were a 10/10. my waiter was amazing, attentive, warm and inviting as the place was with a resemblance to mandami, new york mayor which i found to be a postive thing, didnt catch his name tho. the wings were the negtive part of the experance, overcooked, ok as a whole tho. The stout brownie is something ill always dream about and was phenomonal as always. overall experance id give a 7/10, please for the love of the world tell your cooks to use timers for things like wings so they arnt as tough as a bone. p.s please also reopen patio area and retroduce solo dining tables so i dont feel like im preventing a 4 top from coming in. read more

Sadly, something has gone terribly wrong at Happy Hour at what has traditionally been my favorite gastropub in the Westside. For the past few months or possibly more, there is a server/closing-manager (male Caucasian, glasses, ponytail) who only reluctantly provides the HH menu. About two months ago, I asked when HH started, and he said in 7 minutes (i.e., it was 9:53pm). I asked how much I'd save on the beer I was contemplating if I waited for 7 minutes, and he said a dollar or two, so I told him I'd wait until then to place my order. It seemed like a pretty light day, yet he took a full 20+ minutes to come take our order -- it felt like he was punishing me. Last night, it was 10:10pm and I asked if there was a HH menu. He said "not yet." I thought he meant that they hadn't yet been published, but when I went to the bar to say hi to someone I know, I saw a HH menu already on the bar. I'd already ordered off the regular menu, and chose to not change to something on the HH hour just to avoid the conflict. I have no idea what is inspiring this behavior. Perhaps people who order off HH menus don't tip well? In any case, this new HH attitude has definitely dampened my enthusiasm for Fireside. Which is sad since it still has a great tap list and menu. read more

Was craving a burger and searched for a place we hadn't been to before and discovered this hidden gem! Tucked into an unassuming strip mall, Fireside Grill is a 21-only bar that makes a fantastic burger! I got a "Bomber" which has Gorgonzola and grilled onions. So good! You can get a 1/4lb or 1/2lb burger. Service was awesome. Our server was friendly and the kitchen cooked those burgers up super quick. The "fire" is on a TV screen and the place is a bit divey in its decor but it's clean and well-kept and I'll be back for more! read more

This place is definitely a little run down but it's a diamond in the rough. Smells a little musty when you walk in and the lighting is dim but I don't think you come here for the ambiance. The definitely have regulars that keep this place running. Our server left (like literally out the door with her purse) and never came back so another guy finished taking care of us. BBQ wings came out piping hot and had good flavor. The Blackjack burger had good flavor and the Chef Cobb salad was loaded with toppings. Flew back into town super late and was searching for a restaurant that was still open... Found this hidden gem that was open until 1AM! We tried the shorty burger, pork chop & tomato basil soup. I can confidently say that this was the best pork chop that I've ever had. Soft & cooked to perfection paired with sautéed vegetables & potatoes. Incredible dish! My husband enjoyed his burger that was paired with chips and a delicious dipping sauce. The tomato basil soup was delicious as well! The server was super friendly and attentive. I have heard about these burgers for a while now. Finally got a chance to try it. I was out with my brother in law and we chose this for fourth meal. I got the small bourbon burger. Very tasty toppings super messy. Stuff kind of has one note. I wasn't too impressed. He got the fireside burger and was kind enough to share. It's a yummy one of those everything on it burger. However we see the sauce. I assumed it was horseradish or something so I wanted no part of it. But a little taste reveals this is cheese sauce. Whoa. This makes is burger next level. Even more of a mess than the bourbon but now it has everything with the cheese sauce. Definitely a top burger in the area. The chips are fun. I think I preferred the regular to the sweet potato. Who knew there was a great burger place so close to home? Well, now we do! Our first visit to Fireside Grill on Hall. This place shares a parking lot basically, with a wonderful Mexican restaurant called Si Senor. I read the burgers were tasty and they made their own potato chips, so that is what we both ordered. I got the Bourbon burger and my wife got the Fireside burger. We agreed that both burgers were delicious! I loved the bourbon sauce on mine, and my wife enjoyed her burger, but it got a bit sloppy to eat with the egg, still she thought it was very tasty. The potato chips were wonderful! We didn't get sweet potato chips, we'll try those the next time we go (and there will be a next time)! There was a small dish of sauce for dipping the potato chips, which was so friggin' good! Gorgonzola cheese, garlic and other stuff equally flavorful. Yum! I also ordered basic margarita. Nothing special, just a well drink, yet it was very good! It had tequila in it, enough to taste, which Iloved, and the mix was perfect. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Like I said, we will be back! Next time I will get pictures! read more

All I have to say is YES. Small divey vibe and soundtrack to match, extensive rotating beer list, burgers are TOP. I got the lil' shorty + side salad with Gorgonzola dressing and my man got the whiskey burger + the butternut & pumpkin soup. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Lily has the memory of a steel trap and Hostess skills for days! I'm always glad to see her when I stop in for a good meal and cocktail. She has full situational awareness that she carries with her throughout said days and it shows. She need not be smiling at all time, because her sincerity is her charm. It seems the entire staff trusts her to do right by all persons and they respect her authority (as evident per their efforts). The Kitchen - WOW. Much joy in the back of the house! The service was bad when I had walked in and this white male with glasses had racial profile me, and was so rude had to sat down, waiting for a while already about to order and had told me and my boyfriend to leave because my ID was fake. The Fireside Grill creates consistent delectable food. Their drinks are strong. Yes, it has a pub atmosphere with typical food offerings. Their drinks, prices, and food portions are what brings customers back. Detracted one star due to service staff being inconsistent with how they interact with customers. Some can be super attentive while at other times staff can be quite sporadic. They've been in the neighborhood for quite a while so they know their regulars. Which tends to affect how they treat others who come in. I'm sure management can tweak this and make sure that everyone who comes here feels welcomed, and seen. read more

First time here with a few girlfriends for HH. It wasn't too busy when we arrived and we seated ourselves right away. We enjoyed a cocktail. I had the Hot Fallen Apple and it was a really nice drink to kick off winter. The had a nice happy hour menu. We ordered the margarita pizza and chips and dip. The pizza was a bit overcooked. I've never been here before but it's a nice place with TV's for games and it appears stop have outdoor seating for the summer. read more

This time I tried the Fireside Burger, and they outdid themselves with this namesake burger. The layers of flavor are incredible and so well composed - the egg yoke was perfectly runny, the ham was cooked well, the bacon was REAL bacon - and that doesn't even hit on the burger meat itself - SO GOOD. ACH! This was the worst food I've ever been served that I can remember. We went for brunch. I took my friend out for her birthday upon the recommendation of a foodie friend who liked the eggs Benedict. My poached eggs were completely undercooked, gunky and runny. The butter was awful - it had turned bad and tasted like blue cheese. The 1" thick "toast" was grilled and tasted awful, just burnt and the potatoes were fried in rancid oil and then over salted. My friend offered me a bite of her French toast. She's spread the blue cheese tasting butter on it and poured on the worst tasting fake maple syrup. It was weird. Both dishes were awful. The waitress was very nice, I asked her to please not to take it personally but told her that it was the worst food I've ever been served and then gave her the rundown I offer here. She came back saying you don't have to pay if you thought it was that bad. That was nice. I didn't ask for it. But I gave her a good tip. It's definitely not my kind of place. I have been very disappointed the last two times I was there. I am not sure what happened to the burgers, but I am eating away and bite down into the worst tasting thing I have ever tasted.
