5 stars because everything was great including our amazing server Bonnye. But floor manager James is super unprofessional. We were there close to closing and over heard him yell through the restaurant at 20 till, "LAST CALL, LAST CALL" okay fine. But then our waitress came back to cash us out (on the patio) and floor manager James closed the last garage door with her outside locking her outside as well and proceeded to laugh at her when she told him through the glass it was locked, then making her walk to the front entrance. Had such a wonderful girls' night at Brix Tavern! From the moment we walked in, the service was so friendly and welcoming, which made the whole evening feel extra special. The ambiance was absolutely amazing, cozy, stylish, and the perfect atmosphere for catching up, laughing, and enjoying time with the girls. And the food did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was delicious and made the night even better. It's one of those places that just has the right combination of great food, good energy, and a beautiful atmosphere. I have mostly great things to say about Brix Tavern. I had brunch there today with friends and ordered the Brix Benedict. It came with a choice of fruit or hash browns and featured two perfectly poached eggs atop very tasty ham and a base of focaccia. The flavors were excellent; unfortunately the dish arrived at room temperature. It's not a dish you could warm up so I ate it, but it would've been much better if it had been served warm. My friends had an omelette with hashbrowns and the country fried chicken with eggs and hashbrowns. Both meals looked delicious. A very nice touch are the free donuts that come before the meals-- these small donuts had a very nice crisp exterior and a drizzle of lemon and berry syrups. Overall, I would recommend this place. Our server was delightful. She was attentive and friendly. A word about the ambience. It was a rainy Sunday morning and not too busy at 10:30 but the place filled up by 11-11 30. The overall noise level increased, but you could still have a conversation. this was our second visit. Food was quite good but service was a little slow, however friendly. Also a little more expensive for what you get even though it was tasty. I get that things are more expensive now but to appeal to more people make some items cheaper but still taste great. This restaurant is one that gives you the point of sale device right away at the table when you pay so it forces you to decide quickly and minimizes the custom option we are used to with a paper tip amount, not to mention the pressure of the amount as the server is in front of you. These need to go away. Restaurants that have devices like these know they are putting a guilt trip on you to squeeze whatever they can. I just moved to Hillsboro on Monday 8/17/2026 and am happy Brix Tavern is a 10 min walk from my home so I can enjoy cocktails without needing as DD or uber/lyft! In addition to cocktails, they also serve wine, beer, and spirits. When we arrived ~6pm, we were pleasantly surprised to see that happy hour on sundays and Mondays is 3pm-closing time. Which means we got HH prices! I was deciding between the Rose 75 and lemon blueberry daiquiri. When I mentioned I liked sweet cocktails, our waitress Bryce (sp?) recommended the huckleberry daisy. I loved it as it was on the sweeter side. I think the huckleberry flavored vodka could have contributed to the drink's sweetness, along with the blackberry puree. My friend was deciding between 2 beers and was able to sample both before ordering. She liked the one she ordered though I don't remember the name. For our entrees, I had the shrimp, kale, and quinoa salad and my friend had the salmon. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, the vinaigrette was tasty, but would have liked more quinoa. My friend's salmon was flavorful and held up 2 days later as leftovers! I'd probably order something different next time but would 100% recommend for happy hour! We came here for brunch as we wanted to check the new location out. The service was great and attentive. I liked that they offered some hot donuts in the beginning while we waited for our food. We had the Country Fried Chicken & eggs and Brix Skillet. The country fried chicken was simple as it was a piece of chicken tender with gravy on it. Been a couple of times since they opened and we are so glad Brix is in our neighborhood. My wife and I had 2 of our grandkids and decided to come here tonight. We arrived just after 5pm and was seated fairly quick. Knowing Brix is a Tavern, I was wondering how they would handle or put up with our grandkids. There was no reason to be concerned. They did give crayons and a coloring kids menu. Our server Kylie, was so gracious and nice with picky girls. She gave them some cool pens to play with, and told them they could keep them. She also gave them some stickers. The nicest thing she did was get the mac and cheese fixed as one of our girls freaked out at the topping on the m&c. We apologized and she so nicely told us we didn't need to. That she was happy to fix it for us. The food- the kids mac and cheese is probably the best kids food I've ever tasted at a restaurant. Very high end and good. After our kiddos tried it, they liked it. The fish and tots was really good. Its exactly what it sounds like with a good slaw. I would go back and get it again- that should be an endorsement. The only slightly downer of the meal was my wife's stuffed chicken. It was good and she ate it all. But she said it waa cooked just a little past where it should have been. Wasn't bad- but would have been a show stopper otherwise. The staff is hard working and friendly. The building is decorated nicely with covered outdoor seating. They are a great addition to south Hillsboro. One last shout out to our server Kylie. They are fortunate to have her. Had a very nice happy hour dinner at Reed's Crossing Brix Tavern. Easy and plentiful parking nearby. We had been here once before right after they opened as well. Tonight we had the cheeseburgers with fries, one with bacon. I recommend you have them cut it in half as it was both very good and very messy. Excellent fries by the way. A few days ago I ordered a takeout margarita pizza from Brix. Was it good? Yes. I especially liked the tomato sauce with its near-perfect mix of 'tang' and 'light sweetness', served with the right texture and in the right proportion. A rare win with pizza from...anywhere! Likewise the crust was just as you'd expect from a brick oven. Here too, above-average execution. The rub, and the reason for only three stars? Well, look... It was an average-sized brick oven pizza, meaning it will feed two lighter eaters (especially with a salad) or one heavier eater, with a menu price of $20.95. At this point I'm OK. It might be just a tad spendy, but I'm still OK. I ordered online, and upon confirming my order I'm then introduced to a $2.50 "service fee". Uh...OK, I guess. But this is definitely NOT the norm for carry out. At least, not at any place from where I regularly order. They're just happy to have your business and if they're charging a "service fee" they've hidden it (as they should) in the price they charge for the food. Then, after paying more than $20 for the smallish pizza and a $2.50 service fee, I'm asked if I want to leave a tip too! As if I might enjoy paying three separate charges just to get a simple takeout pizza. It also needs to be said, when you're asked to leave a tip BEFORE the service has actually been rendered, it isn't a "tip" at all. It's a "bribe". And this is all notwithstanding the fact that tipping on carry out orders is just another example of how "tip culture" has completely jumped the shark. No, in fact I DON'T want to tip so that I can...walk in and have you put a box in my hand. (I recently saw a YouTuber who has a great policy on tipping. He said, "If I'm standing, I ain't tipping.") But of course I did tip. 10% to be precise. (Remember about that "bribe" thing? Sure, you don't HAVE to tip. But do you seriously believe that not tipping has no impact whatsoever on your order? If you believe that, then you have more faith and trust in humanity than I.) All of this means my (again) good but smallish pizza was $25.54. Even in 2026 that's an "airport food vendor" or "Moda Center food" price. To quote the immortal words of a Mr. Randy Jackson in the early American Idol series, "That's gonna be a 'No' for me, dog." I might go to Brix again to eat inside the place, and to try some of their other food. Their menu does genuinely look good. But that was my first and will be my only carry out order. I'm not at all broke, but I'm also not "Hey, let's order DoorDash four times per week!" wealthy. Which you'd need to be to pay that much for what you're getting. Too many other decent pizza options to spend that kind of scratch on a carry out pizza. read more

I wanted to love this place so bad. The downtown location was one of mine and my husbands first dates! Their donuts are absolute perfection, which is exactly why we were thrilled to check out their new Hillsboro location. The hostess was sweet when we walked in, but when we told her we didn't have a reservation, she told us it was an hour and a half wait, but there were literally empty tables sitting open both indoors and outdoors. Here is the kicker, though: I walked right back out to the car, opened up OpenTable, and saw multiple reservations available at that exact location within 15 to 30 minutes! Make it make sense! I love a good pastry, but I'm listening to the universe on this one: it's a full cross-off for me. read more

We had a Sunday 11 AM reservation and waited an hour and ten minutes for our food to arrive -- already a bad sign. When it finally came, it was stone cold. We flagged this to our waitress, who took the plates back to the kitchen. Rather than remaking the food, they simply microwaved the same plates. My eggs and hash browns came back just as cold as before, though it looked like they'd swapped in new chicken and added gravy. My wife's poached eggs fared even worse -- after the microwave, they'd turned into rubbery, hard-boiled eggs with a greenish tint. At that point, the manager stepped in and personally oversaw a third attempt, made fresh from scratch. It came out hot and correct in under 10 minutes -- which only raised the question of why the first attempt took over an hour to begin with. I have no plans to return and try their food again anytime soon. read more

I was so excited that Brix opened in Reeds Crossing SC. The food, I've only ordered off the happy hour menu, is great. The service, for such a new location, is fantastic. Attentive and caring. The space is cool with roll up doors to an outdoor patio that faces east so you're not baking in the summer afternoon sun. I hope heaters make an appearance for the colder fall days. It will be a great spot. I would have given 5-stars, however, the beer tap program is terrible. All of the taps are from McKenzie Brewing and the beer just isn't that great. I understand Urban Restaurant Group owns the brewery, buti In an area with such a diverse selection of great breweries, you would believe that Brix would rethink their one brewery tap program. Admittedly you can get other beers in cans and bottles, but when I go out I want a draft beer. I can have cans at home for less money. read more

A welcome addition to Reed's Crossing. Brix is known for its amazing food,, and drinks. I know once they get the kinks worked out that it will be amazing. It has a corner location, lots of parking, indoor, and outdoor seating. It's clean and nicely curated. I noticed customers with dogs, I'm assuming also pet friendly. The front counter was busy. Since it's new there was quite a bit of foot traffic, and phone calls waiting to be answered. The server we had was pleasant, drinks we ordered came quite staggered, water was always refilled. The salt and pepper calamari was tasty. The Brix chips is a must try. I ordered the chicken bento, and would say that the peanut sauce added flavor to an otherwise plain skewer. I'm glad they've found a spot. Looking forward to coming back and trying other items on their menu. Give them a try if you are looking for a new spot or are in the area. read more

Excellent service! Our server was super attentive and very friendly. Recommend reservations since it just opened and it's quite busy. Not a huge space so it's very LOUD! They have soccer on several screens in the side room and people were screaming when someone scored and it literally gave me a jump scare several times! The Brix chips were a good starter. The cocktails were tasty just like the other locations. They have an outdoor seating area. Hubby ordered the fish n tots. Fish was good with light breading. The tots were blah. I ordered the prime rib sandwich with side salad. Salad was great... sandwich was a bit sad with not a lot of meat. It was more like a very thin layer of shaved beef. The melted cheese adds a different layer of texture and creamy flavor that I'm not mad at. Overall menu looks great and happy hour will be our next visit to try several items. Maybe not during World Cup time because it's way too loud to hear each other over the noise level. They need to install the sound barriers hanging down from the ceiling. read more

Good atmosphere, staff is welcoming, quick to please but not overbearing and friendly. Food is well prepared and arrives as you would expect. Small salads however, are not small so keep that in mind if ordering with additional food. As for drinks, ask for the Huckleberry Daisy, you won't be sorry. read more

Arrived just before 5pm on a Friday. There was probably around 60% capacity. Yet it appeared there were 2 waiters serving the entire place. The service was very slow. Though we ordered as soon as we were offered the chance we didn't get food until just at 6pm. At that point the restaurant was close to full and I can't imagine how slow service was for those arriving. Order a second drink, it had been over 20 minutes before the server came over and said the printer at the bar stopped printing out tickets. It eventually came after about 25 minutes, no offer to comp the drink, which would have been a welcomed gesture based on the entire experience to that point. They have only been open for 4 weeks and I have now been there for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. Awesome food and love the outdoor patio.

Overall cute little spot. Just opened 2 weeks ago. Bar Service needs some help but over all id give another shot. We came in on sunday for brunch. Host Asked if we had a reservation, was told if we didnt it be a 40 min wait or we can sit at the bar no wait. So of course we sat at the bar. First thing i noticed is the stools. They are SO uncomfortable and the bottoms of them are sharp endges so they slide around like ice skates. Highly recommeded to get different stools. Bartender was pleasant and friendly however Service was extremely slow. I ordered the bubbly (bottomless) mimosas and with 2 bartenders, I still had an empty glass. One baryender was over whelmed serving guest and the other was making blood Mary backups ignoring guest completely. My suggestion, Have 1 bartender making drinks the other tending customers. CUSTOMERS COME FIRST! You stockyour back ups for the bar are the last of my concerns. Why is my glass empty for the past 7 minutes?.... They give complimentary donuts, our bartender was so in the weeds we didnt get any. We were like what's that? is it complimentary ?is it donuts? what is it? to the point the manager heard us and bless his heart Brought us some. If it wasn't for him we wouldnt of know. We asked for waters never got them had to ask again.... asked for our check 3 times. The bartender waa sweet as pie, its just standards! I would like all servers and bartenders to be held to the same standards and unfortunately this bartender didnt hold up. However the food was good, the manager was good. We had dinner here and I would say the food was excellent! I had the fish tacos and they were very good, my husband had the prime rib sandwich and he said it was very good, but he did not care for the au jus with the onions. The service was great, I did not get the name of the server! The only downside was the sound level of the music was much to loud! We were sitting on the patio and we had to shout at each other to hear and we could not hear the server either, so she had to shout! Not sure why loud music volume is necessary! read more

He insinuated that I wanted a free appetizer.... Mind you I only came for an appetizer. I said "no, I just want a plate without a hair please". We've come to this new Brix location a few times and it has been a hit or miss! Our most recent visit was for brunch and it was unfortunately a disappointment. Our server was very kind but it took way too long to get our food, probably around an hour total. The wait time for food has not been an issue prior to this visit. We had no reservation and were told the wait would be 20-30 minutes (despite there being open tables). We decided to sit at the bar and it took about 15 minutes to be noticed. It didn't seem like we were the only table who had to wait for our order. I understand this is a new location and they are adjusting to the opening, but I hope the service gets quicker in time! Excellent addition to the neighborhood! We showed up without a reservation, but were seated promptly. Our table shared the calamari and the Brix chips. Both were ravaged by our table. I really loved my Salmon Caesar. My son and his girlfriend shared the Chicken Pot Pie and they said it's the best theyve had. The waitress couldn't figure out the little portable ordering system which is to be expected with a new restaurant. We attempted to dine tonight at 5:30 and we were told the wait was a minimum of 45 minutes due to reservations. While we were attempting to get a seat many others were as well and ending up leaving like we did. Hard to believe you have "reservations" for over 1/3 the restaurant as the inside was 1/2 empty as well as the majority of the outside. Hope those "reservations" all showed up as ready customers were turned away. Back to Champions we go. Never had any issues like this there. read more

My main complaint is that the staff doesn't know how to give an estimated time by when you may be seated we were told 40 minutes to 50 minutes and an hour past, went to chk how much longer and they said 30 more mins. If you plan on going make a reservation. Otherwise don't show up with out a reservation. We ate a great meal at Nikki, where we were seated right away. read more
