Breakfast All Day

Located in South town off of U avenue. Plenty of street parking around the building. They are closed Mondays and Tuesday. So super excited to see that they have online ordering now! We love to get their breakfast burrito to-go. Made very fresh and with great flavor. The salsa that comes on the side is also phenomenal. Highly recommend their other dishes as well. They have picnic table seating outside for the warmer days and inside seating for the colder ones. We always receive top notch service from the staff and our order is always made promptly. They are good so they get really busy at times and there may be a long wait. This is a must-eat when visiting town! Also is just a block or two from the beach and from the start of the south-end of the promenade.

Huevos rancheros w/2 arepas, Blk beans, house fries. Yum!

Delicious food + friendly service + a cozy converted beach house = Osprey Café in Seaside. We enjoyed our breakfast SO MUCH the first day, we came back the next! The first day I tried the huevos rancheros with 2 arepas, shredded chicken, black beans, queso fresco and home fries. I had never had arepas, so I was eager to try them and they were delicious! As we were eating, a plate went past on its way to another diner and I called over our server to ask what it was. It was the nasi goreng plate, which I had considered before choosing the huevos. So the next day, true to our word, we returned. No need for menus, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted: nasi goreng! A GENEROUS serving of Indonesian style rice stir fried with finely diced veggies, sautéed shrimp and shredded chicken, topped with a perfectly sunny egg and garnished with 3 beautiful prawn crackers. WOW! An absolute winner! Both days hubs went with his standard egg, bacon, pancake breakfast and was very happy with his choice as well. All the staff work really hard to handle the steady stream of customers, but do it with friendly smiles and great attitudes. Felt like we were eating at the home of our fave auntie! We would DEF return for thirds - and fourths - if we were staying in Seaside that long. Cheers! "CC"

A cute breakfast cafe right by the waters. Sat by the window to enjoy our breakfast after checkout at a nearby Airbnb. We came on Jan 1, was quite busy inside but was served well. We loved both the French toast and chilaquiles equally. Quaint and perfect start to the day

A very cozy place with artistic and cute tableware. The food is fresh, and the staff are incredibly warm and friendly, which made the whole experience delightful. The only thing to note is that the portions are a little small.

Nice atmosphere and kind servers! I came in the morning after an eventful night and it hit the spot. I loved the Nasi Goreng however I will say it was pretty salty but I was downing it no thoughts about it

Osprey Café on the Oregon Coast nails the casual beachside vibe. If you're craving seafood, their shrimp salad is a must-- creamy shrimp salad on a huge pile of greens. But let's talk about the shrimp rolls. Dad and Aunt Jo both got one. They are HUGE, easily about a foot long, packed with juicy shrimp, and totally drool-worthy. The café is just steps away from the beach. It's the perfect lunch stop before a seaside stroll.

Foreign money in the tables

Great service and food We arrived right at 8am when they opened with already a group in front of us. The staff was cheerful for a dreary morning. They have a menu of breakfast options and rotating daily specials. I had the omelette special and it was plenty of food. Our waitress was great and the tables were fun to explore with the foreign money on display. Easy to walk to as well.

Chef's salad with in house ranch dressing with lots of fresh dill.

Where the locals go for good, affordable breakfast and lunch. Not in the heart of the tourist area. Offers a good selection of American and Mexican dishes -- even one Indonesian. We had a chef salad and a huevos rancheros, both great.

The food is amazing! We had the burrito and the Dungeness crab Benedict. Service was great as well. They just need some heaters outside!

We recently discovered the gem that is the Chalkboard Cafe. While staying in Seaside we were…read morelooking for a new breakfast spot and are glad that we happened upon the Chalkboard Cafe. Located near the end of a strip mall on Broadway on the Southeast side of the river, this tiny cafe and bakery serves up love and smiles. We were traveling with our two adult children who are on the autism spectrum. Our oldest is gluten free and our youngest, well he identifies as a bull moose and can be about as easy to wrangle. There were plenty of gluten free options for our oldest. Our server Zoe rocking the Wonder Woman tank was a super hero! The owner quickly tuned in to our family being on team quirky and made us feel welcome and at home. Everyone was so friendly! The food? Exceptional! This was our third breakfast out on our trip and the Chalkboard Cafe took the blue ribbon and it was not even close! My youngest had the biscuits and gravy, with a couple of eggs and a sausage patty. He's a charter member of the clean plate club and met the challenge. It was a generous portion. Our oldest had a half order of the B&G and was tempted to have one of the hot from the oven gluten free mini Marion berry pies that the owner proudly paraded around the dining room. Steaming from the oven this Marion berry pie tasted like the best of an Oregon summer. I was glad he shared a couple of bites. It was such a delight that we took a pie home for later! My wife and I shared the traditional eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached, and topped with a thick piece of ham grounded with their perfect English muffin. The Hollandaise was rich and creamy providing a wonderful coat on top of the egg. Their red potatoes were seasoned just right and were a compliment to the eggs Benedict as they would compliment most any savory breakfast. In addition to the pie we took home a couple their chocolate krinkle cookies which were not gluten free. That's the bad news. The good news is that we did not have to share them! They were heavenly! We get to Seaside at least once or twice a year and the Chalkboard Cafe will be part of our regular dining rotation while visiting. Thanks for the love and excellence! Great job and we are looking forward to our next visit!

But I didn't care too much for the flavor. Genuinely not good. And the cream cheese it came with, zero flavor, which was easily remedied by adding my own salt. The ambience and decor was quaintly charming, at first. But the more I looked the more understood that everything was creepy. Like witchcraft creepy.
