Nice little nook of heaven. Drinks were great! You should expect a long wait time which is great for walking the beach! Food was also very good. I got the chilaquiles and the only thing I would note is that if you don't like goat cheese probably not for you. The chips are cheesy with goat cheese! My boyfriend got the Smoke Ham Benedict and of course they were no complaints. The home fries are to die for, but other than my minor personal dislike I would def recommend this spot! read more

Osprey Café - Smoked ham Benedict and Chilaquiles - Cafes Near Me - Seaside, Oregon

I was recently visiting the Oregon coast and someone recommended this place. I'm so glad we came. Even though I was staying in Cannon Beach, I took a wrong turn and ended up in Seaside, and coincidentally stumbled across Osprey Cafe! It's a small restaurant inside with a few tables outside. When you put your name down with the hostess, she actually calls your phone number to tell you the table is ready! What great service. When it came time to eat, my friend and I ordered the breakfast and lunch special respectively. The lunch special that day was pork adobo sandwich with fries. I happened to ask for ranch on the side and OMG that was the best decision I made that day. Their ranch is one of the best ranches I've ever had. It's packed with dill and it's not too runny. I will be remembering THE RANCH DRESSING from here for a long time!! Osprey is a hidden gem on the coast and I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the area! read more

Very busy at Sunday brunch today; more than 1 hour wait for three of us at 10 am. We noticed tables being turned over fairly slowly. Bit of a long wait for food to be served. We noticed a note on the door explaining a pause on coffee to go service due to staffing shortage, so I'm not dinging them for that; it happens. They had run out of orange juice so my SIL had a cranberry mimosa instead of the OJ one she'd planned on, but she enjoyed the cranberry mimosa. My brother and I both had the eggs Benedict with ham. My SIL had the eggs Benedict with florentine. All three of us chose home fries as our side (option of that or fresh fruit) and we all very much enjoyed all of our choices. The ham version came with quite a generous portion of thinly sliced ham, the hollandaise sauce was very good though for my taste, I could've used slight more lemon taste to it, and the breakfast potatoes were delightful: hot and crispy on the outside and well-seasoned. The florentine included a thick slice of fresh, tasty tomato. Very clean, well decorated and comfortable restaurant. read more

Came here on a super nice day today and it was packed but they got me in right away! I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and it was delicious. I added on the potatoes and that was a good choice because they were amazing! I also got an iced americano that was the perfect pair. The waitress was super nice too! Highly recommend read more

Wonderful experience. Benedict was superb. A must go in seaside. Service was great. Beautiful day so sat outside. Will definitely go to the Osprey every time we go to seaside. read more

This is a small place, my first time there. I went on a Saturday so...I walked up gave my phone number and they call....but I sat in a chair near the counter and waited. I waited about 20 minutes but it seemed longer. The friendly gentleman was more than accommodating and knew I was waiting. Sat at the window and had a few mimosas and a delicious omelette....even though I was tempted to have a Benedict....they looked delicious too! read more

We had a pleasant experience here. Waitresses were very friendly and seated us right away. Smoked salmon scramble was good, the home fries that went with it was divinely crunchy and the seasoning was so on point. My avocado toast was decent; I didn't like the veggies that went with it, they're too big and bitter to go with the dish. Double espresso was good too. It feels warm and cozy inside, service was fast. read more

Always our go to for breakfast or lunch when in Seaside. Great food, coffee and service. Yes it can be busy but worth the wait.

Located in South town off of U avenue. Plenty of street parking around the building. They are closed Mondays and Tuesday. So super excited to see that they have online ordering now! We love to get their breakfast burrito to-go. Made very fresh and with great flavor. The salsa that comes on the side is also phenomenal. Highly recommend their other dishes as well. They have picnic table seating outside for the warmer days and inside seating for the colder ones. We always receive top notch service from the staff and our order is always made promptly. They are good so they get really busy at times and there may be a long wait. This is a must-eat when visiting town! Also is just a block or two from the beach and from the start of the south-end of the promenade. read more

Delicious food + friendly service + a cozy converted beach house = Osprey Café in Seaside. We enjoyed our breakfast SO MUCH the first day, we came back the next! The first day I tried the huevos rancheros with 2 arepas, shredded chicken, black beans, queso fresco and home fries. I had never had arepas, so I was eager to try them and they were delicious! As we were eating, a plate went past on its way to another diner and I called over our server to ask what it was. It was the nasi goreng plate, which I had considered before choosing the huevos. So the next day, true to our word, we returned. No need for menus, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted: nasi goreng! A GENEROUS serving of Indonesian style rice stir fried with finely diced veggies, sautéed shrimp and shredded chicken, topped with a perfectly sunny egg and garnished with 3 beautiful prawn crackers. WOW! An absolute winner! Both days hubs went with his standard egg, bacon, pancake breakfast and was very happy with his choice as well. All the staff work really hard to handle the steady stream of customers, but do it with friendly smiles and great attitudes. Felt like we were eating at the home of our fave auntie! We would DEF return for thirds - and fourths - if we were staying in Seaside that long. Cheers! "CC" read more

Need to move to seattle. Best breakfast ever eggs perfect. Bacon perfect. Fresh orange juice

A cute breakfast cafe right by the waters. Sat by the window to enjoy our breakfast after checkout at a nearby Airbnb. We came on Jan 1, was quite busy inside but was served well. We loved both the French toast and chilaquiles equally. Quaint and perfect start to the day read more

The service was pretty bad. The place was busy and chaotic. Not one employee was taking the lead to help customers figure out where to put your name down to wait, or where to order takeout. We waited a full 10 minutes hoping for eye contact from someone who worked there. When I finally asked someone where I could place a to go order I was impatiently told I needed to wait. No further words were said and she walked away. I felt I was inconveniencing them trying to be a paying customer. Not sure how the food is. We were there 30 minutes and no one offered to put our name on a wait-list, or help us with a to go order. Pretty rude service. read more

Though we went on a weekday, this place was very busy, as if it was a weekend. Morning rush had us waiting outside for a while, but I'd say the food was worth it. A smaller menu, but has many different choices. I ordered the eggs Benedict and was impressed! I also am usually not a big fan of "farm potatos" or the verity, but theirs was perfect! Crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Lastly I appreciated the decor, it has an obvious seaside theme, but the tables have foreign money, and the place has a quirkiness. Overall I'd be happy to keep going back for Seaside trips! read more

I love this place! I'm gluten intolerant & so enjoy a restaurant offering multiple options to enjoy. The espresso drinks are spot on & I love the arepas and fried oysters (also gf). Our daughter liked the gf French toast & my hubby ate all of his ample order of glutinous French toast. A shout out to Server Sami, she was perfectly friendly & very informed & efficient. Thanks for two great experiences in two days. Ambiance: The space inside is cozy & there are lots of tables outside when desired. read more

Eat here!!! I got a pancake breakfast and My Partner got the crab Benedict. My breakfast came with sausage and eggs and the sausage is truly amazing. I like my eggs over hard and they were cooked too perfection. My Partner's crab Benedict was phenomenal. I snuck a bite and it was so delicious. Also, the home fries are seasoned perfectly and just so tasty. This is an adorable little spot. The service was wonderful, fast and kind. We will have to come back it was just sooo good. read more

Heard about Osprey Café from a local while in town for a conference and decided to stop in ...and I'm so glad I did! I ordered an omelette with potatoes, which was solid and satisfying but the real star of the show? The Arepa. As a South Floridian, I've had my fair share of Arepas and honestly, these were better than most of what's available back home. Perfectly crisp on the outside, warm and flavorful on the inside. I told my colleague I wanted to take a box to go The service was friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience made me feel like I'd stumbled onto something special. I'll definitely be thinking about this meal long after the trip is over. The worst part? I was way too excited and didn't take a picture of my food. If you are looking for a great breakfast give this place a go! read more

Osprey Café on the Oregon Coast nails the casual beachside vibe. If you're craving seafood, their shrimp salad is a must-- creamy shrimp salad on a huge pile of greens. But let's talk about the shrimp rolls. Dad and Aunt Jo both got one. They are HUGE, easily about a foot long, packed with juicy shrimp, and totally drool-worthy. The café is just steps away from the beach. It's the perfect lunch stop before a seaside stroll. read more

This was a place we REALLY wanted to like. GOOD: The place is light, airy and sqeaky clean; except for two notable fails, the food was really good. BAD: It took forever to be seated, served and fed; the server flubbed a few items; eggs ordered over medium arrived fried hard; no warning the sausage was VERY spicy, my wife couldn't eat it. Work out the rough edges in service and kitchen turnaround, this will be a gem. read more

Excellent food, staff, ambience. My husband has smoked salmon Omlett . It was delicious. Try the fried oysters!

Very welcoming spot with a casual beach vibe. The menu is amazing. It was really hard to choose. We had chilaquiles and the hang town fry. 5 stars on both. The black beans and red sauce were delicious with the right amount of spice. The chips held their crunch till the end. The oysters were creamy and fried perfectly. The potatoes were the best! The service was attentive and warm. The lunch menu looked amazing, too, so we'll be back soon. read more

The breakfasts are awesome! I had the crab eggs benedict on an arepa with roasted veggies, and was in heaven. My daughter had the oyster eggs benedict, which was definitely delicious, but we both agreed the crab ruled. My husband had french toast with eggs and bacon. The setting, service, and food were excellent! Will definitely come back if we're in the area. read more

Absolutely amazing food and service. We were staying within walking distance and put our names down on the waitlist and they gave us a call 20 minutes later to let us know our table was ready. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Food was delicious - I got their veggie scramble and added poached eggs and cheese which were both upcharges. Potatoes were sooo good and the veggies were amazing as well. Yum! Definitely coming back here if we're ever in seaside again. I got their elderflower mimosa and YUM. They had delicious drinks and a ton of breakfast drink options. My partner got a margarita and it was one of the best margaritas either of us has ever had. Server was SO lovely and kind and welcoming. Great way to start our trip! Super cute and intimate space, and absolutely worth the wait. read more

Great service and food We arrived right at 8am when they opened with already a group in front of us. The staff was cheerful for a dreary morning. This is not a very big place and do have outside seating and you can bring your dog. That was good. We sat outside, the service was iffy. Staff is polite, however, we were there for almost an hour and a half. Forty five minutes just waiting for the food. I understand everything is cooked to order, but at no time did staff say anything, apologize, or just acknowledge it was slow. Food was ok to good. The avacado toast, very bland. Eggs benedict was ok, hollandaise sauce not flavored very well, but wasn't that bad. I just expected better since it looked like a signature dish. Not a bad place to go, just be sure you are not in a rush. read more

Best breakfast in Seaside. Huevos rancheros with the arepas were delicious, the chilaquiles were perfectly spicy and flavorful, and the special-lamb Shakshuka was rich and comforting on a cool spring morning. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The arepas are a thing of magic. Crunchy, smooth, perfection. You can also get the eggs Benedict with arepas (just do it). The huevos rancheros was so good! 10/10! Food was delicious and fresh. I got the hash with poached egg + chorizo and it was a flavorful mixture and the perfect portion size. My boyfriend got the smoked steelhead eggs Benedict sub arepas... *chefs kiss*. "Homefries" were more like roasted potatoes but still delicious alone or with your meal. Food was absolutely amazing. The cutest little beach cafe restaurant. I lived in New York for many years and this spot has me feeling like I'm back in the Hamptons chilling in the summer. Super busy, so I would recommend a reservation; there is an hour wait and it's only 11:33 AM. It's worth the wait so all happy campers over here! Great food! Great music and nice aesthetics with. Cozy fireplace in the main dining room. I'm happy ordering to pick up since there are bar stools my puppy, my boyfriend, and I can causally wait on by the front door. There was a 40 wait time to be seated but it was worth the wait. We ordered the nasi goreng which was super flavorful and a big portion, as well as the pancake breakfast. I have to highlight the pancakes which were probably some of the best I've had. They were a pretty decent portion as well and the sausage I got was delicious too. Overall the vibe of the place was relaxed and the food was delicious. I am marking this as my spot to go to whenever I'm near seaside.
