Super nice time here eating brunch. Staff are kind and fun. The food is all made from scratch, and local! I really enjoyed my Crab Swiss Asparagus Quiche. Affordable pricing and tons of good options to choose from. Blueberry pancakes, self serve coffee, and HUGE biscuits! It's a really cozy spot and I love how some of the stuff around is interactive - the tables are really cool and you can draw with the chalk on them. Lovely view and outside seating options. 11/10

So yummy!!! We came here once before for lunch, it was awesome! This time had breakfast, and again it was delicious. Zoe was our waitress & she was a sweetheart! We had the breakfast bowl & traditional eggs Benedict- TDF!

Chalkboard table and yes, YOU CAN Write on them!

Ladies road trip to the Seaside Oregon coast and while scrolling for food spots, we found Chalkboard Cafe because the biscuits looked AMAZING in the pictures... and they did not disappoint! We bought 2 to save for the next morning with butter and jam, and wow... soft, flaky, buttery deliciousness. We went back on our last day for breakfast and ordered the breakfast bowl with sausage & portabellas -- those mushrooms were SO good! Of course we had to get biscuits & gravy too. And yes... I brought home 3 more biscuits for the road. Definitely recommend!

A little drawing I made on the table. Yes, you can draw on the tables at the chalkboard Café.

This is a friendly little café right along the water. Food is always delicious and inventive. I had a traditional English muffin-and-egg sandwich with a portobello mushroom. My husband had an egg sandwich with an Irish soda bread bagel. He said it was fabulous.

Amazing food, the sweetest couple owns the restaurant, food is all from scratch. Felt like family as soon as we walked in. The atmosphere is cozy and eclectic, Highly recommend the philly, with a side of au jus!

My husband and I escaped Portland for a chilly Monday to the coast. Because my husband loves Philly Cheesesteaks, so this was a must-try. Tucked away off the main drag along the river, this place is a true hidden gem. Even though it was a Monday, it was surprisingly busy, but we were lucky enough to snag a table near the counter (sadly, not a chalkboard table!). My husband ordered his Philly and I opted for the French Dip, and both sandwiches were absolutely delicious! The fresh-baked bread is a huge plus. We also both got the macaroni salad for our side. That was quite good too. Next time I'm in Seaside, I simply must swing by to try more of their fresh baked goods. We chatted with the friendly owners and learned they've only been open for a year. I predict a long and successful future for Chalkboard Cafe!

This is super cute place next to the river. They have THE BEST breakfast sandwiches, quiche, pays and Philly sandwiches!! All made from scratch! Owners Ken and Angie truly put passion in making the most delicious food. A must when visiting Seaside!

I was enjoying my bagel with my husband when this couple arrived. The man was not at all friendly. A young woman informed him that the sandwich he ordered was not available, and they returned his money and offered him another sandwich, which he accepted, because we saw when the young woman gave him the money back. His order did not take long to prepare. They sat down and asked for their sandwich to be cut. The young man who was there kindly offered him a knife, which he did not want. Later, at the area where you prepare your coffee, a young woman came out and told him that they had knives there. The wife, shouting, demanded a knife from the kitchen, to which they said no, for safety reasons, they could not do that. The gentleman began to shout at her very rudely, using offensive language. Everyone who was eating watched as he verbally attacked her. The young woman told him that she was not being disrespectful. The gentleman shouted insults at her. Seeing how he was attacking her, she told him that they would return his money but that they had to leave the restaurant. The gentleman grabbed the sandwiches and, angrily, wanted to throw them in the trash. His wife intervened and told him not to do it, but in his anger, he threw them at the young woman. At that moment, a person from the kitchen came out and told him to leave. The cook tried to calmly mediate the situation with the gentleman. No employee offended him as he made it seem. He threatened to call the police, and the cook told him it was fine to do so. The cook was there the entire time, including when the police arrived and spoke with them. She returned his money. Sometimes people lie to make a business look bad, and that is not right. And based on my experience, the food is very tasty, the coffee is prepared to perfection, and the service is fabulous, except for those people who arrived angry.

So you know I have to revisit every time I come. Sadly, This time wasn't as good as my last experience back in 2022. Might be overpriced, but very tasty nonetheless! A variety of bagels and quick service! My only two complains are the prices, and the fact that they don't include the cream cheese w your bagel unless listed in the ingredients below. I feel like that should be a crime!! Oh and last issue, we got 3 soups and one was suppose to be a larger size than the other two. When we got them they were all one size. We tried to address the issue and were told by staff that one was bigger than the rest. So with that I Wasn't going to go back and forth. But was also disappointing, especially bc their soup was very tasty. So of course I wanted the bigger size I had originally ordered. Regardless, great food. I'll take the L. My last rating was on Google.

Excellent Mexican Food option in Seaside!…read more Kids really raved about it that we had to go back twice, and the food was consistently good each time. A service was little inconsistent, but still good. Server was responsive and gracious. (2nd server did fail to provide guac and sour cream for our fajitas. Kids butter noodles and spaghetti (5) were claimed as 'great' by the kids. The place is clean, but confusingly empty. It's located in a strip mall type location, and black \ dark color scheme as your drive doesn't come across as a restaurant. But it really is a clean spacious spot with really good food. This place is worth the 2min drive for a Seaside stay. Seriously it's the 2nd favorite restaurant here for our 7 days stay.

Finally, she just grabbed a couple menus and asked "For here or to go?" We said for here and she just barked, "Anywhere." OK fine. So we chose a table. She asked if we wanted something to drink. We asked for iced tea. "No ice" she said. No ice??? Weird. There was also an incessantly loud beeping sound coming from the kitchen that was beginning to drive me absolutely batty. At this point, we were extremely unimpressed, and after glancing at the menu to see that everything was very overpriced (cheapest meal was a minimum of $17), we got up and left. I don't know how they make their overhead with service like that.
