Lovely setting. Staff that is welcoming, friendly and funny. Food was very good the oyster sliders are giant! The fried oysters were also very good. Breaded, marinated mushrooms were delicious. A bit too much breading, but thinner breading would not be as tasty. We simply ate only a portion of the breading and were quite happy.

We had oyster shooters & a tuna melt, as well as delicious gin & tonics. The service was excellent. This is such a cool location, with boats coming in right out the window. We've been here several times and it's always great.

Stopped by for lunch, sat outside on the patio as we had a dog with us. We ordered the tuna melt, fried oysters, fish and chips, salmon spread and garden salad with salmon. The tuna melt was pretty good, nice solid chunks of tuna. The fried oysters were delicious. Fish and chips special were using rockfish and it was meaty and fresh. The salmon spread with pita chips is to die for! The green salad with the added salmon with the house made balsamic vinaigrette was delicious. Excellent service, great atmosphere overlooking the water and boats.

A Local Treasure! Our service from the staff was not just top notch, they were genuinely kind. The food was excellent. While it costs a little more, it was well worth it. All fresh ingredients excellently prepared and presented. We were seated at a window seat with a view of an active charter fishing port full of cool looking boats and gear. One of the staff members noticed that I was trying to take a picture of the boats and suggested I go upstairs for an even better picture. This is just the kind of little out of the was place that I love and will be back to again and again.

My second time back here and the food is so so so good. My favorite is the Spinach Dip and I 100% recommend getting it here. It is so creamy and delicious. The service is always really good and they are consistently on top of it. This restaurant is located right in between the hotel, but inside you get a beautiful view of the ocean and boats. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside too!! Love this spot and it is right in Ilwaco

Margs are top notch! The daily fried fish has never not hit. Today special Turkey Melt was a complete success. Side note: we the team here as well! Always enjoy our time here.

It's not big...less than a dozen tables inside, there is outdoor seating, and when the weather is nice I bet it's a great place to be on a warm summer evening. Right on the water, with views of the boats. Ilwaco itself is a bit of a dungy town, but this place offers some delicious dishes, and the ambience is cozy, & romantic. We were immediately seated, as we were the only ones at the restaurant on this cold, wet PNW day. We both ordered a cup of their crab bisque. Delicious. It really hit the spot, and warmed up our cold bones. What I really liked about it was it wasn't too salty! Both my husband and I added a bit of salt and that elevated the flavor, but I liked that the chef didn't over salt it, and gave me the choice of how much sodium I wanted to add. My husband wished he had ordered a bowl. It is delightful, flavorful and a decent amount of crab in it, as well. (I enjoyed it so much, I forgot to take a picture of it!!) The chef really knows his stuff and has a great flavor profile on the menu. My husband ordered the Helm Burger with tots. He gave them two thumbs up. The burger patty looked fresh homemade, as opposed to frozen bought at Costco. It was a decent size, & thick and juicy. With the addition of bacon to it, he was greatly satisfied. I ordered the Deckhand. Let me tell you, this was a delicious sandwich! The pork is tender and juicy, the sauce is sweet but not overly so. The picked added a wonderful crispy texture along with the sweetness of the caramelized onions....it was a tastebud explosion. So good. And so filling. I had to take 1/2 home and was a bit annoyed when I found my husband ate it the next day for lunch! I guess that just means I'll have to go back sooner than later to order it again. I'd like to also mention that the tater tots were perfectly fried and crispy! The waitress from friendly and attentive and the chef was sweet and so pleased with our compliments. Don't wait a moment longer. Get yourself to Ilwaco and check this gem of a place out! You won't be disappointed.

We arrived before 5:00 pm, and it took a while to even put an order in. Even though we were sitting in the bar and there were a LOT of servers/bussers/etc. We ordered the Mushroom burger, the Chicken Bacon Guac burger and the Prime Rib Dip. Let's start with the pros - the Chicken Bacon Guac burger was pretty good! But the Prime Rib Dip had something like shredded meat on it, not sliced meat. So, when you dipped it in the Au jus, chunks of meet fell into the Au jus. Be ready to fish them out with a fork! The Mushroom burger was an exceptionally thin burger. Our server asked how we wanted it cooked. But it didn't matter. A burger that thin was coming out well done, no matter what. It had mushrooms on it, but not many at all. And we ordered the Cajun Tater Tots. Tonight, it was just like someone cooked tater tots, then shook some seasoning on them, and maybe the lid fell off the seasoning? They were drenched in some kind of Cajun-adjacent spice. We had recently been telling visiting guests that the Lost Roo was the one consistent, reasonably priced restaurant on the peninsula. We're going to have to stop telling people that now. Sadly, it'll be a while before we go back.

We checked in with the hostess who saw the notes for my requests. The hostess took care to seat us at the perfect table to enjoy each other, the view, and the music. I saw a review where the couple didn't like their table facing the view but side by side chairs. We got that same table - we loved it for the intimacy and view! (We did book at sunset rather than after dark. *Note--yes we were facing the ocean and sun was beaming in but it wasn't an issue due to the adjustable shade. The service was as such that I believe they would have accommodated us had we been unhappy. YAY - we got Alyssa as our server! I saw her name in a few Yelp reviews and she didn't disappoint. Randall, whose name I also saw was the bartender - and ditto for him. They serve a "Cocktail for a Cause" -- this month was for Pride. It went down fast so I ordered a Sazerac and was a happy sipper. Starters: Clam Chowder and Burrata. One of the BEST clam chowders I've had (Alyssa did say it was a new batch from earlier that day so lucky us.) The Burrata didn't dazzle my tastebuds but it was still good. ‍ Entrees: Fried Rock Fish with hand-cut fries -- good. They dust the fries with rice flour before frying...different but still tasty. My partner is a hand-cut fries traditionalist so I enjoyed them more than he. Alyssa....chicken or pork... she said pork so... Pork Schnitzel: perfectly prepared with a wonderful onion gravy! Served with fingerling potatoes and brussel sprouts. For my taste the fingerlings were a touch overdone and the brussels were a touch underdone (and no, I don't like mushy veg.) The live music was around the corner so we could still hear each other AND enjoy the music. Wonderful Cost was pricey but we left full of good people, good drinks, good food, and good music. Worth the money in my book!
