1/2 order biscuits and gravy with bacon and poached eggs

Delicious breakfast and huge! I ordered 1/2 biscuits and gravy; it came with two eggs and a meat (sausage or bacon...the bacon was perfectly cooked and chewy, the poached eggs were great... 2 of my friends ordered from the kid's menu and portions were also out of control! Giant burrito and French toast...the omelette my mom got also looked yummy.

The food was great and the prices were incredible for the portions they give you. It's located right across from Jack's Country Store and Sierra's Place is what used to be Barbequeen. The interior looks clean and the restaurant has a nice vibe to it. The service was quick and our waitress was on top of it. Check this place out!! They have so many options and they serve breakfast all day!! Definitely recommend.

Waitress gets a 10/10 from me. I've been here 3 times and she's always beyond stellar and accommodating. What everyone would want in an employee- Go burrito, trust me.

We went to the new location in Ocean Park. The food was extremely good. I would strongly suggest it.

The Meat Lovers Bomb was good. They definitely fill it up with meat and cheese. I added two over-easy eggs to it. We also got the chicken fried steak. It was tender. Their gravy on both dishes is tasty.

No question... get the Bomb. Smothered with warmy goodness. I throw a few diced onions and jalapenos on top of mine once I get it home.

The Texas egg rolls are simply amazing. The club sandwich was well put together with a delish side salad!

We own a house in Long Beach, and during the time we lived there full-time, this was our go-to spot for anniversaries and my husband's birthdays. It exudes that cozy, historic Seaview charm that invites you to relax and linger...warm, intimate, and full of character without being over the top. A true small-town and now not so hidden gem. My husband is a fan of their Old Fashioneds, particularly those with a smoked maple twist, and he often gravitates back to the slow-braised pork. Their current Southern Comfort Pork dish is just his style: slow-braised pork shoulder served over brown sugar yam mash with jalapeño creamed corn, green onion, and maple-bacon salsa. That's comfort food crafted with real culinary skill. As someone who follows a plant-based diet, I truly appreciate how The Depot makes an effort to accommodate vegetarian and vegan diners in a way that feels genuine rather than forced. Last winter, I was thrilled to discover the ginger-coconut soba noodles, they were flavorful, satisfying, and perfectly balanced. Their current mika soba noodles with garlic-ginger coconut cream, vegetables, toasted cashews, and cilantro are exactly the kind of dish I'm thankful to find on a Peninsula menu. I also have fond memories of Burger Wednesdays from our time on the Peninsula. It's incredible how satisfying a customized portobello burger can be when a kitchen understands texture and seasoning especially in a place where plant-based options can still be scarce. The food is fantastic, but the service deserves a special mention. While Peninsula restaurants are known for their good service, The Depot's service is exceptional: polished, friendly, warm, and just the right amount of attentive. Although we now reside in California, we plan to make another reservation when we return to the Long Beach Peninsula in July. I'm already looking forward to their summer menu. Note: I've forgotten to take photos so the ones on this review are from the restaurants social media - definitely a reflection of our last meal at The Depot without the drinks.

So you try to be more efficient and reduce expenses But having less spirt choices at the bar maybe shouldn't be one, or not having any options to tweet a choice, or not fully cooking potatoes in the chowder, or... I don't have the challenge of running a restaurant these days, but I do have choices of where to dine. It's a good restaurant, it was just so much better.

We checked in with the hostess who saw the notes for my requests. The hostess took care to seat us at the perfect table to enjoy each other, the view, and the music. I saw a review where the couple didn't like their table facing the view but side by side chairs. We got that same table - we loved it for the intimacy and view! (We did book at sunset rather than after dark. *Note--yes we were facing the ocean and sun was beaming in but it wasn't an issue due to the adjustable shade. The service was as such that I believe they would have accommodated us had we been unhappy. YAY - we got Alyssa as our server! I saw her name in a few Yelp reviews and she didn't disappoint. Randall, whose name I also saw was the bartender - and ditto for him. They serve a "Cocktail for a Cause" -- this month was for Pride. It went down fast so I ordered a Sazerac and was a happy sipper. Starters: Clam Chowder and Burrata. One of the BEST clam chowders I've had (Alyssa did say it was a new batch from earlier that day so lucky us.) The Burrata didn't dazzle my tastebuds but it was still good. ‍ Entrees: Fried Rock Fish with hand-cut fries -- good. They dust the fries with rice flour before frying...different but still tasty. My partner is a hand-cut fries traditionalist so I enjoyed them more than he. Alyssa....chicken or pork... she said pork so... Pork Schnitzel: perfectly prepared with a wonderful onion gravy! Served with fingerling potatoes and brussel sprouts. For my taste the fingerlings were a touch overdone and the brussels were a touch underdone (and no, I don't like mushy veg.) The live music was around the corner so we could still hear each other AND enjoy the music. Wonderful Cost was pricey but we left full of good people, good drinks, good food, and good music. Worth the money in my book!
