We knew better, but we were desperate... it was a Wednesday and the Seaview Biscuit Co was closed. So we arrived for breakfast at 42nd Street. We waited 10 minutes for a table... then 12 more minutes for someone to take our order. We honestly had been looking at a menu while we waited to be seated; we knew what we wanted. Every item we ordered could be best described as 'bland'. Thankfully, they had salt on the table. $5 for a soft drink. No joke. They had one server running the room, which has about 10-12 tables. Same person taking orders, running food and processing payments. Two of our party members were in a hurry to get on the road to Sea-Tac, or else we would have left before ordering. I wish we had! This seals the deal for us on 42nd Street Cafe and Bistro - no need to return.

I have only ever seen them make it on the Food Network and have always wanted to try it. It was served piping hot with four small slices of toasted baguette. It was unbelievably flavorful and so delicious. My only complaint is the eggs are supposed to be jammy/runny and mine were very over cooked. However, it was still sooo good! Probably could use another six slices of baguette or just a while one altogether, to finish the meal. I had almost 3/4 of it left and no way to eat it. My latte came hot and large, but when I asked them to remake it because I don't drink hot coffee and asked for it iced, they remade it cold and small. Both of the people drinking chai said it had no flavor and was like drinking white water.
