It went up a star. I tend to only go here when it's clamming season and really busy. I find it easier to order from the bar (faster). The servers do not always look happy to be there but I try to win them over by being super kind. Sometimes I win. Overall, it's a dive bar and not terrible. Well we had the captain pizza it was eeally good. But see pics of seats we didn't want to sit down so not ok for a business put some profet back into the most important part of the place where every person sees and sits that comes in man if o was the owner or manager that would make me ashamed! The vibe was pretty good on the Saturday night we were there. Watching the pool players was fun. On Sunday evening when we were again there, the blond, lady bartender seemed to ignore me, it wasn't busy at that and I was standing right in front of her. It bothered me, but oh well, they lost us as customers. read more

Pretty great place. To be fair I have only walked in and got pizza. But I've done this probably 20 times. Pizza is great, the best I've had in the area. Service is great too they know how to still fill orders for food even when they are busy. I come to Long Beach about 4 times a year and I always get pizza every trip. read more

We walked in thinking this looked like a below average dive bar where we could have a couple of drinks and chill for the evening. Nothing interesting in terms of atmosphere, but a serviceable beer menu and a basic bar selection. We sat down at a table - it still had the dishes from the prior occupants, but we figured they would be cleared soon (they never were). But it was the bartender wearing a t-shirt featuring a far right "influencer" and peddler of hate that made us feel unwelcome and made us decide to find somewhere else after one drink. I guess if you're a white, straight guy who likes your watered down cocktails with an extra shot of bigotry, this may be your thing. Otherwise, there are plenty of better options in Long Beach. read more

Stopped in for dinner while in town for the night. The bar was pretty packed due to both the Ducks and Cougars being on TV. Staff were friendly but you had to go up to the bar which is fine. Drinks were good and strong. The pizza was good but it was a little under cooked. They are very strict about IDs which is a good thing, but make sure all your people go up to the bar if ordering drinks. To all the Cougs and Ducks in the bar... GO DAWGS! read more

Went on a summer Sunday at 3p and it was fairly busy. Sat at the bar and enjoyed great service and tasty drinks. Wish I got the bartender's name -- dark hair, very much a local. I've been coming to Long Beach off and on for a decade. The service before after and during Covid has fluctuated between crackhead tweekers and coherent folks. Right now the service seems sober, at least up to 6pm last night. The pizza is something else... i feel like after Covid, they just decided not to finish cooking the food anymore. Horrible. This is a very cute dive type bar. Sorta "cheers" like, where everybody knows your name. The staff wasn't the friednlyess but they did ok. The menu is small we got the seafood pizza and oh my god it was amazing. However when the bill came the large pizza was 40.00$. The menu is deceiving with pizza price. Listed the price of a small and medium all squished together and the large is right next to the medium price so we thought it was 28.00$ until the bill came. Techinically on the menu the large pizza price is not even listed, so they can literally charge whatever they want. SUPER SCAMY if you ask me. We mentioned it to the server and she laughed at us and said "yea a lot of people complain about that". THEN FIX THE MENU, Wtf!! Went here a few weeks ago and ordered food to go on our way out. They only said it would be ready in 20 mins but failed to mention to come back and check on the food. Bartender was a jerk about it and doesn't know how to speak to women. Look I've worked hospitality for 15 years, not hard to explain how things work, and if someone asks about their food say "it's probably ready by now, let me check for you when I can." Literally less of a hassle versus gas lighting a woman and being a sarcastic jerk about it. The other complaints about service are fair. I've worked at way busier places and held less of an attitude. read more

Definitely a place the locals go to get their early drink on. We got there around noon for a quick bite and a beer. Quick it was not. It took forever for anyone to acknowledge us when it was not that packed. We finally ordered a burger and chicken strips. I was parched by the time the beer arrived I almost went and poured it myself. The food arrived and it did not look appetizing. However it was pretty tasty. Our server was very nice in the long run. Our booth was duct taped together, definitely a dive but I can see why the locals love it here. read more

We're from Oregon and went to this bar for a birthday where my friend--who is 24--was denied service for having a valid vertical ID. The bartender didn't mention any policy until after my friend pulled it out, then suddenly said they don't accept vertical IDs. Maybe that's their rule, but it wasn't posted or clearly communicated. What felt off is that my friend was the only non-white person with a vertical ID, and also the only one turned away--everyone else got in without issue. On top of that, the bartender was aggressive and rude before even seeing the ID. It made the whole experience uncomfortable and disappointing. We won't be going back. read more

This is place is right in the center of downtown Long Beach! Quite the spot! I was visiting a friend here and we came here to grab a few drinks before heading home. This place was pretty lit! Dive bar vibe! Local & tourist mixs. The drinks here are fairly cheap $5-6. You can't beat it anywhere else in the area I'm guessing. Didn't try the food but the drink are strong. The perfect place for visiting tourists to mingle with the locals. Don't let the name fool you: This place is more than a tavern. The locals have made it their "go to place" for pizza and tasty seafood for years! Speaking of pizza.....they are HUGE! If you are adventurous, try the oyster or lobster toppings. The service is terrible. It was dark and hard to see. No one greeted us. There are no signs saying whether it's open seating or not. Our waitress gave us attitude the whole time. All the waiters were leaning or sitting and gossiping within earshot of the customers they were talking about. My date was afraid to order ranch because he had heard the waitresses complaining about another customer needing ranch. Never coming here again. Not worth the time or money. Or humanity. read more

On our way home along the coast we stopped for a burger in Long Beach. We like the Long Beach Tavern. It's an oasis of local-ness in a town jammed with tourists. I always get the double LBT burger with fries. Mrs Billy D rocked the Fish 'n Chips with onion rings. Get this.. there were FOUR very generous pieces of cod and those onion rings were very good. As Of June,2016, Jim and I are the proud new owners of the Long Beach Tavern aka LBT. Why you might ask? We started visiting the peninsula from Oregon a few years ago to clam dig with friends and fell in love with the area. After spending several years commuting on the weekends to stay at our favorite little spot, we decided to make this our home. So, we left our jobs, sold our house and bought the LBT. After 36 years of marriage two boys, their beautiful wives and three amazing grandchildren we absolutely adore, here we are. Worker's Tavern offers a full bar along with slot machines. There is an ATM on-site for those who need to take money out to gamble with. Indoors is small but has tables to seat large groups. In the back one will find an outdoor seating area with a dissimilar vibe than the tavern. During our visit, the kitchen staff was about 45 minutes late so we weren't able to order breakfast right away. Once the kitchen staff decided to show up, there were quite a few people ready to order their breakfast which caused disjointed and undercooked meal deliveries. Table service was not offered inside or outside. All transactions are done at the bar. The breakfast menu doesn't list pricing and when I asked about the prices, I was told they change regularly. Shady statement. While waiting for the kitchen staff I sipped on a Bloody Mary for $12 and my wife sipped on a Screwdriver for $6.50. The Bloody Mary seemed a bit overpriced to me. Two people in our group ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and it was still frozen on the inside when served. Worker's Tavern corrected the meals; however, I'm certain the meals were undercooked due to the pressure of the late kitchen staff and the hungry demands of the morning patrons. It is imperative that staff show up at their scheduled shift times. I wanted to try the Cheddar Fritters & Syrup but was told they were out of the item. My wife and I shared the Mushroom Swiss Omelet for $14 + $4.25 up-charge to add sausage to the omelet. We were both happy with our meal choice. Overall, Worker's Tavern has potential; however, that potential was severely during our visit.

There was a very pleasant aroma to the bar as you walk in, and everything just seemed immaculate The bar was a lot of fun, and we found ourselves sitting there for an hour or so Some tips: Check out the boutique section towards the front and walkways with some new threads. They also have a pool table, and one of the regulars brought his small dog, who kept us company and sang a duet with his owner. lol We also loved looking thru the thrift clothes and items for sale. The only suggestion I have is that the location doesn't feel like a pub. The large windows are not covered, and you feel like you're in a fish bowl. Curtains, blinds, or window darkening options.

Array of gambling paper plays/pull tabs. A place to enjoy talking to the friendly local new friends you will make. They grill tasty hamburgers, where the burger is a good size larger than the hamburger bun. Even substituted the fries for their creamy clam chowder. A savior for late night grub eaters. Pretty much the only provider of late night burgers and specialty sandwiches in the area. Full bar. Widmer and other beers on tap were very fresh. Great prices. The lady bartender even remembered me when I came back the next couple of evenings and also my Widmer beer preference. A busy and welcoming neighborhood hang-out!

I just recently moved to the coast and the moment I saw the Green Bay sign I knew I was heading…read moreinside. I also researched cocktails in Seaside Oregon and this was the spot that kept coming up. I entered and was immediately greeted by the barkeep. She was friendly and made me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in the door. I chose the Moscow Mule since they are known for this yummy cocktail. It was made to perfection and even served in a legit hand hammered copper mug. I'd say the best Mule I've ever had. We talked about Wisconsin, cheese curds, ranch, the Packers, Lambeau Field and of course Seaside too. The barkeep even shared some photos. I can't wait to go back and watch the packer game here. It feels good to support a local business that makes everyone feel special. Do yourself a favor and get in here. Go Pack Go.
