Terrible horrible customer service. The place was an absolute disaster and full of smoke, oven hood fans mustn't have been working. We weren't told until after we paid our bill of 91 dollars (3 lrg pizzas) that it would be a hour and half wait! Was also told we couldn't have the salad bar because they were too busy to stock it, even tho it was completely stocked and people ordering before we're allowed to. Waited for the sauces we ordered with the pizza and when delivered was told they are in the house-we paid for them already!!! We watched a server take all the salad bar droppings and sweep them with his bar hand onto the floor where customers stood to load there salads. A lot of people complained about the price but honestly I thought the price was pretty standard if you get pizza from independent restaurants and not fast food places. Of the pizza I have had in Long Beach I would rate it side by side with the others. When I visited on the weekend they seemed pretty overwhelmed and understaffed which was surprising given you'd think they would plan for that. With that said during the week I akso went and it felt the same. But they were very friendly. We were camping at Cape Disappointment state park to crab for a few days. We needed to drive into town to restock on supplies and we were starving and pizza sounded really good. Endless toppings, so many different toppings. They even had potato salad and macaroni salad. The macaroni salad is really good. We put that on the side of the salad, not on top. We sat down at a table and waited maybe ten to fifteen minutes for the pizza. Wasn't that long at all, and there was only a couple other orders in line. We knew they had thin crust pizza , that's why we went there . But we did not know how spectacular the thin crispy crust can hold up layers upon layers of toppings . The pizza was cheesy, the thin crust was crispy, a great crunch. The crust didn't flop due to the stack of toppings on top. Which amazed us. The bounty of toppings was what dreams are made of. So, the atmosphere of this place is a little weird. When you walk in, it's like you're hit in the face with loudness. There are big tv's playing all different sports. There are arcade games being played. It's a lot. The ordering is also weird. You stand at a cashier to order your food. If you order a drink you have to get in a different line to get it. There was only one cashier in each line. It took about 10 minutes in each line. Getting the food didn't take very long. They deliver it to your seat. The pizza is thin crust. Nice interior. The salad bar was small but good. A couple of items might not have been the freshest but nothing wrong and it was reasonable particularly given it is late fall. The only lettuce was Romaine. The pizza wasn't the best. The toppings were fine but the sauce was a touch sweet. The crust was thin and hard like a frozen pizza from the supermarket. I must first identify myself as an east coast pizza snob. No one, in my opinion, in the PNW can ever beat a true, blue NY pizza. So, it is with this biased filter I leave my review. I've lived in the area for over 30 years and have loudly railed against Chico's pizza. It had the taste and texture of old cardboard and I could never understand how anyone could eat it. You were better off with a frozen Digiorno's! But, knowing they had a change of ownership and hearing the place was cleaned up, we decided to give it a try once more. The cashier greeted us warmly and gave us time to figure out our order. The renovations are nice. It was so nice walking into the large, well lit restaurant. It's clean! That's nice, let me tell you! The windows were clean, the carpet was clean, the counters were clean...such a nice clean place! (Did I say it was clean?) The salad bar also looked clean, fresh with lots of variety to pick from. We decided on a large half Hawaiian, half something with meat for my carnivore husband. We also got two small salads. As previously stated, the salad bar looked healthy. The lettuce was a nice mix of different, fresh greens. No bruised, brown or wilted lettuce. Lots of accoutrements to choose from. We sat in a roomy booth and ate our salads, and the pizza arrived in a timely fashion. The crust is thin and crispy. No NY folding is going to happen with this pizza, but that's ok. It was sturdy and held the toppings and cheese very well. And the toppings were generous. It reminded me of Shakey's, to be honest. The only thing missing was the balloon man with cardboard feet. (If you know, you know!) My one criticism would be the sauce was kind of flavorless. It wasn't bad....it just needed to be a bit more with some flavor to it. Also, there was no air conditioning...not sure if it was broken or if they don't have it, but it was pretty warm in the restaurant, which wasn't nice on this hot day, but I can see how it would be cozy on a wet, cold PNW fall/winter day! Just moved into the area and thought we would try this place out. We ordered a pizza online after 9PM not knowing they were closed. The web ordering system let the order go through for the following day. When we found out the pizza wouldn't actually be made until a day later, we called and texted to please cancel our order. We weren't even going to be in town anyway, so we wouldn't even be able to receive our pizza. When we finally got a chance to speak to a person the next day, they said, "we already made that pizza," promising to bring it up with the manager for a refund. After all, there was literally nothing more we could have done to cancel our order minutes after we made the mistake. All they had to do is check their voice mail the next day. Who orders a pizza that way? It doesn't make sense. Why is there no way to cancel? Why did the order system not let us know they were closed? Why didn't they check texts and voicemail before making a pizza ordered that far in advance? Why didn't they process a refund abd take responsibility for a very poorly designed ordering system? Short story shorter, we got charged for the pizza we tried to cancel minutes after ordering it and didnt get to try. We hope somone got to enjoy it. We will never get to try their pizza. No way will we ever order from a place that is this inept and predatory. It's a shame, too. This isn't a big city. we would have probably been regulars if we didn't get ripped off. We had eaten here before but with the new owners & remodeling we were excited to give it a try when they reopened over the weekend. It was well done on the inside - spacious, clean, organized well. The salad bar was an awesome surprise as it's hard to find salad bars as an available option. Our pizza order was taken and it was not too long to when it was being delivered to our table - although it was pretty busy (right before dinner rush on a Saturday). Sparce toppings, and even though we were there at the time set to be done the pizza looked and tasted old. And was only warm. Huge box much smaller pizza. Was to be a jumbo . Was very disappointed and told the person at the counter but they said we'll that's what you ordered. Paid 43. With even a 3 dollar tip to be nice. Cause we are local. Brought my family a 15 in for pizza and we had to clear a large group of tables for ourselves because the place was a mess after we cleared all the tables they told us we couldn't have that section because it was reserved for parties not a party tonight just reserved for parties. We then had to clear another set of tables and then we realized we needed more space so we moved a table over to which we were told we could not be moving tables. I finally asked her how she was going to accommodate us and she finally opened a section for us. She's rude. She's not accommodating. She threw a fit when we asked for pizza cheese to go on our salad and then when I proceeded to order my mother a beer, she said that she would not sell it to me. She could only sell it to the person drinking the beer. I am 51 years old, Haven't had a drink in 30 years so I'm pretty sure the beer was safe in my hands, but apparently they don't care. This was the most unaccommodating experience of my life. I rarely leave a review, but they definitely earned this one. Every other person we interacted with was beyond accommodating, kind, and welcoming, but the manager appears to not care about good customer service. I will definitely not be back. Pretty good pizza stop our first night in Long Beach! Not crowded at all, order and pay at the cashier and then sit. There's a large awkward empty space they said used to have a DJ (??). I feel like this place isn't sure of what they want to be, or doesn't have the funds to make that vision happen. Pizza was good to share but nothing particularly memorable. Husband bought a pitcher of beer at the "bar area" which is oddly down the counter from the pizza cashier and must be done separately. Good for kids but be careful, because the opening goes right out onto the busy highway and it's super easy for kids to get to the door in 2 seconds from anywhere in the restaurant. The pizza was topped with double Cheese, Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni, German Sausage, Mushroom, Olive, Green Peppers, Onion, Beef, Italian Sausage, Pineapple & Fresh Tomatoes (who needs a salad bar? lol). It was AMAZINGGGGGGG. The medium has 10 pieces of pizza. It fed us 2, with 4 pieces left over for later. As we've seen with everything, prices keep going up; this pizza was $28. There is plenty of room for dining here, even a BIG table for a group. We will definitely make this a stop on our next visit to Long Beach area. read more

The Food: I ate their pepperoni pizza and it gave me severe heart burn that last 9 hours and kept me up until about 3am. Occasionally, I'll get heart burn (1 or 2 times a month), but never this bad. I don't recommend pizzas with their red sauce - didn't taste good and the heart burn was miserable. However, I order a sauce-free, cheese pizza for my 5-year-old and she said it was the best pizza ever. The Price: I spent $50 for one small cheese and one jumbo pepperoni which fed four young adults and two kids with leftovers. The Space: There's plenty of room for a large crowd. There is a sign that says no outside food, so they probably aren't okay with birthday cakes, but I do not know for sure. read more

We haven't been to Long Beach in yearsss. It's a long drive and life gets in the way sometimes but we finally had a chance to go so we took it. After a long morning of digging for razor clams, we found ourselves starving so I hopped on Yelp to see what our options were. It was a pretty quick decision that Chico's was the winner. We walked in around 3ish and I was immediately hit with the delicious smell of pizza. There were only a couple tables of people and a couple people waiting for to-go orders so we were able to order at the counter immediately. I ordered a small Hawaiian Pizza with mushrooms and my husband ordered a small Combination Pizza. We sat at a booth and enjoyed the cool air inside. It was very warm that day so it was a nice break from the heat. About 15 minutes later, our pizzas came. They looked amazing! As soon as a snapped a couple pics, we chowed down. It was absolutely delicious. The crust was thin but held up perfectly and was nice and crunchy. The topping ratio was also exactly what we love. If we didn't have to make the 4 hour drive home with a cooler already full of razor clams, we would've gotten more to-go. From what I heard, there are new owners here. I can't say if the pizza is different from how it was before but I can say that this pizza is amazing now and we love it. Maybe it's a nostalgia thing because I've been coming here when we visit our beach house in Long Beach, for forever -- but I really like this pizza. I like the thin crust, tasty sauce, addition of the shredded cheddar, and they allow you an option to take & bake if you want. That means I can take my Chico's home to the Seattle area with me since I usually like to stick to fresh seafood when I'm in Long Beach. One thing I would say -- don't order the mushrooms.
