Went bowling here and despite them being busy the customer service was great. We got set up quickly with the last lane, which was my lucky number 3. They also gave us a pitcher of water and cups that we could have on the ledge behind our lane which made it easy to keep hydrated. We had a couple issues because a pin moved over and the person working was very helpful and fast about getting it fixed. Will definitely be back to bowl again.

I Never will forget this place! Time machines supposedly don't exist but there is something super incredulous going on with this structure. You would drive by this building without a second thought. You would walk down the street and walk straight past the entrance and store front without a second glance. But, this is a magical place. Enter the front door and you are warped to a different era. The inside is small and dated at first glance. Something magical happens here. You play a game for a few bucks. The bells and whistles aren't the fancy technological features in the modern bowling allies today...rather the feeling of family you will get. Simple bowling and family fun from another era. The owner is super nice. Head to the back corner and sign Chunk ' s guest book. You can put a dot on the map o indicate where you are from and you will see all the other dots from everywhere. This particular spot is one of a kind! I am a fan! I love Astoria! Goonies Never Say Die!

Just your typical fun afternoon hangout bowling alley. The one downside was that the smallest ball was 8 pounds and it was hard for my 8 year old sister to bowl, they also didn't have any kid ramps for the balls to roll down. Besides that the environment was great and we had a fun time bowling. (It was also cool that this was Chunk's bowling alley)

Really weird bowling alley. We were assigned to lane 3, which was uneven and very slippery. Extremely hard to bowl.

We had the best tour from Mr. M. Heis one of the lodges historians. He was kind, full of information and fun facts. He gave us insight into the plans for restoration of the lanes and the lodge. One of my favorite points made were, #1. The elevator in the lodge was built in the 50's and is known by the Otis Elevator Company as one of the oldest working elevators in the state of Oregon. #2. Brunswick hired a small New York firm called Huck Engineering to help develop their prototype automatic pinsetter in the early 1950s. Following the development of the prototype, the Otis Elevator Company was called in to help design a model for mass production. We learned a lot about the Bowling Lanes here. We even heard of ghost's that have been heard walking around and talking. We didn't hear anything but on our tour, we went into some sketchy rooms that could let your imagination wild. I think my other favorite part was the Foul Line window. Back in the day, before the fancy "Foul Line" detectors of modern times were invented, there was a person who sat in position to see the Foul Line and would trip a buzzer for the lane violations. We can't wait to see the process and how it'll all look when it's finished.

My mom was a die-hard Ms. Pac-Man slinger back in the day, and my brother and I would burn through quarters like we were trying to keep the Oregon economy alive. The place still carries that old-school magic classic skee-ball lanes, the photo booth that's been snapping goofy faces for decades, and enough blinking lights to make a grown man feel like a kid again. Old games, new games bells ring, tickets sing, and nostalgia swings. Now these days your fun card works over at the rides too, and let me tell you something about those bumper cars. The track looks small... but those little devils spin, bang, and ricochet like a bar fight on roller skates. Fast, loud, and chaotic in other words, perfect. I always run a few laps there, but this trip I talked my wife into the Tilt-A-Whirl, that beautiful old beast that feels like it's been spinning folks silly since the 1920s. You know the one with the operator stick push forward and she flies, pull back and those cars start spinning like a politician dodging questions. By the time it really got going, we were holding on for dear life. I was laughing. My wife... not so much. Now I'll admit something bittersweet. Seaside isn't quite the little carnival town it used to be. They tore out the old roller coaster, a bunch of rides, and even that little snow cone shack at the end. These days it's more shops, more crowds, more folks than a church picnic on payday. But even with all that... Seaside still holds the crown on the Oregon coast. The beach cuts the wind just right, the Prom is perfect for a long walk, Broadway's buzzing, and the Turnaround still feels like the center of the whole show. So here's the rhyme and the reason, the simple seaside truth: Walk the Prom, hear the gulls cry, smell the salt in the air. Play some games, crash some cars, spin 'til you don't care. Drop a few bucks, laugh all day, let the good times expand Because a trip to Seaside just ain't complete... without a little time at Funland. Five stars. Still the king of coast-town fun.

I purchased a $10, and somehow a recurring $-0 monthly charge was later added to my card without my knowledge or consent. Now I have to go through the hassle of disputing it with my credit card company. I strongly recommend avoiding this place, or at the very least, paying cash and closely reviewing your receipts and statements.

The service is consistently rude, cold, and unprofessional. It's the same group every time, and nothing ever improves. There's no sense of customer service. Just short attitudes and a clear vibe that they don't want to be there or deal with people. On my most recent visit, I had an issue where my phone number was entered incorrectly. When I pointed it out, instead of simply fixing it, the response I got was irritation and attitude. Like I was the problem for asking them to correct their own mistake. That kind of interaction is unacceptable anywhere, especially in a place that markets itself as family-friendly. At this point, it's not a one-off, it's a pattern. When multiple visits consistently come with the same poor experience, it reflects a bigger issue with management and expectations. We enjoy bringing our kids here, but the ongoing lack of basic professionalism from the bar staff and the wait staff in the bowling alley, is seriously dragging down the experience. It shouldn't be this hard to get decent service. We all know it all starts at the top.

I was a little put off by the taxidermied animals around the venue and some of the processes felt a bit overly complicated. For example: we had gift cards and were told we had to go to the front desk to combine them then we had to go to one of the kiosks to transfer that card for a game card. Also, for bowling, I went to the check-in desk and was told I had to sign up using the QR code and then check back with the desk employee after registering on my phone (a process that was all the more complicated by the fact that I had bad service there but they did have free WiFi). All that said, still had a pretty decent time.

We were told there was a 30 minute wait for a lane that we could only have for 90 minutes since a league needed a few lanes. The wait was just enough time for us to go to the other side to order a pitcher of cerveza and some grub. We had just poured a pint when the front desk called to say the lane opened up. We ended up waiting less than we initially thought. A win. The food we ordered was brought over to our table. We were starving. Let me tell you something, the food was amazing. Let me give you a rundown because we ate ate. We got the wings. That mango habanero was wow. We got dry rub for the other option. Also very good. The garlic parmesan fries was perfectly cooked. I kilt that dipping sauce. The corndog bites reminded me of my childhood. We also got a pizza. I'm not sure if it was the combination of my high from doing so well plus the two bowls I hit on the way over, but the food slapped. We ate everything. Killed all the plates. The foods slapped so hard I forgot to snap picas. The service was great. Everyone was nice. I specifically loved that their pins were free. I'm in a bowling league in LA and the pins at the spot I go to are held by strings and I firmly believe I'd have more strikes if they were free. Also, random but I loved their setup - a huge table with seats that slide back. It was great for when you got too comfortable yapping and forget it's your turn to bowl so you spring back. There was ample space for you to turn. I dug it. We ended up playing 3 games. Now I know where to hang whenever I'm in town.

Lots of "prize" games but very pricey & of course, the kids we brought wanted to win the big stuff like a brand new Nintendo Switch or PS5. Unfortunately one kid walked away with nothing (as a mom, totally expected that to happen. These games don't allow winners.) but my son spent probably 20+ dollars on a stuffed animal so I guess for him, it wasn't a total bust. The parking lot was pretty full, and I learned walking in that there was a bowling league there. Busy lanes! I can't speak to the food but did get a Bloody Mary which was decent enough. It's a sketchy area, if you aren't Portland-familiar. Don't leave valuables out in the open, blah, blah, blah. You know how the rest goes.
