Getting our drink on!
Trista B.

My girlfriend and I were staying the night here at the Gearhart Hotel and as soon as we got checked in popped over to the Pot Bunker Bar...it was pretty late and it was us and another couple in the bar, however it was still SO much fun! Its a little space, but a super cute bar and in typical McMenamins fashion lots of cool/creepy/historical/fascinating things to look at! We had a super fun enjoyable night here, with good drinks and great company so Pot Bunker Bar gets a 5 star from me! We were looking at the drink menu and decided to get a couple of their "special" cocktails...both were very good! I can't remember what mine was called, it was the yellow drink in the pictures, I just remember it had Elderflower something-or-other in it...and it was great! Really good tasty drinks, and pretty to photograph too! Above when I mentioned good company, well that was mostly due to our most amazing bartender, I believe her name was Carol. She was wonderful, such a joy to talk to AND made great drinks as well! She made our night so much fun, and the other couple that was in the bar was also super fun and friendly too, so it was all-around just a good time...I for sure recommend the Pot Bunker Bar for some good drinks and an enjoyable night out!

Took a spontaneous trip to the coast the last weekend of February. The weather was sunny, surprisingly warm for the year, had some wind but that was manageable. My husband and I have a McMenamins passport so it was really fun to check out the different places here. Going to the Pot Bunker was fun with trying to find it. It was incredibly relaxing to pull up a chair next to the fireplace and sip on my Spanish coffee.

Love love love McMenamins but this location could really benefit from having their cooks shadow and learn from their other properties. The clam chowder at McMenamins is hands down my absolute favorite. This location served chowder that was see thru and tasted very sweet. No one at the table could eat their chowder. Full bowls left on the table by everyone. Just a friendly warning in the event your coming here with an expectation of McMenamins tasting food based on their other locations.

We had a quick beer and a lot of fun with the bartender Brooklyn. She was easy going and cool. Definitely staff to Gold on to.

The sandwiches people talk about are solid, and you can sit there with a drink, look out toward the river, and have yourself a pretty decent time. The staff treated me right too and believe me, that doesn't always happen. Sometimes I walk into a place and I get no respect... no respect at all. Now why not five stars? Well, it's like climbing a staircase. This place isn't stuck on the bottom steps it's about three-quarters of the way up. But it just doesn't reach that top landing. It's missing a little magic, a little spark in the ambiance. Everything's good, don't get me wrong, but it's a bit plain Jane. I save five stars for when a place really knocks my socks off and my socks are still on. But hey, four stars is still a good place to be.

The owner, Megan, is quick to suggest the perfect pour for any mood and exudes an infectious energy that puts the bar at the top of my list for a perfect evening. You'll walk in as a visitor, but you'll leave as a friend. It's rare to find a place where locals, seasonal residents, and tourists all feel welcome. Make the time to visit Daughters, you'll be glad you did.

The wine selection was incredible, the small bites were to die for, the space was gorgeous, and the company was the cherry on top! The coastal ambiance, cozy low lighting in the evenings, and music playlist will make you never want to leave. We shut this place down, laughed with locals, and went home with full bellies and fond memories. After a few months of reminiscing, my boyfriend and I finally took another trip back this August. Without skipping a beat, Megan welcomed us back and remembered details about us like we were lifelong friends. Her knack for hospitality is what makes Daughters truly stand out! As if the friendly greeting wasn't enough, we were also met with a delicious new menu and got to enjoy the dog-friendly patio. I, a notorious red-wine lover, opted for some fresh and fruity options that pleasantly surprised me. The watermelon spritz had hints of sea salt and paired beautifully with the food we ordered. I'm kicking myself for forgetting the name of the dish, but essentially, it was fresh bread, silky cheese, juicy peaches and sea salt all thrown together to make the perfect sweet/salty/savory flavor combination. As always, another 10/10 for Daughters. Near the end of our visit, we finished our last glasses outside with the pups who were spoiled with treats and bowls of fresh water before walking back down to the beach nearby. Daughters is a true gem and so are the employees. No trip to the coast is complete without popping in for a glass of wine and a friendly smile. I'm already planning my next trip back for September!

The woman behind the bar, may have been the owner, was so kind, caring and attentive. She made conversation with me over my license from Colorado, asked my name and remembered it as I was leaving saying "have a nice day, Nate" Soooo sweet and kind. A true gem of a human. She even had regulars that she said "I told you when we were on that hike that I owe you a drink so this ones on me" freaking precious. Okay now that I'm done praising the owner/bartender. The food was exquisite too. I got a basic cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce. It was cooked well and was enjoyed heavily and quickly haha. The cook even came by to check that I liked it as well. Very warm place with great food. Much enjoyed. The place was clean and kept up well. This was one of the first dive bars I had been to where they had slots and that was a bit of a twist. I didn't roll the dice on them as the only thing I gamble on is once a year and that the horses at the Kentucky derby. Keeps my gambling in line and doesn't upset the in-laws too much. If I visit Seaside OR again, I will absolutely find myself back here for another delicious burger and friendly interaction.

I wish they had a better choice of beer so I didn't have to get Bud Light (lager), but you get what you get at, do I dare say, dive bars. Hmmmm, would you call this a dive bar? Except for the location, all arrows point to yes. They have video poker but it is usually pretty full. This is definitely a popular place. Even though it's not the best service and not enough seats, I will come back because of the location. Maybe they'll get an actual lager on tap.

Not once did she acknowledge me, just a slight smirk and went around the whole bar asking everyone if they needed refills, even some who still had full drinks. Then started to have a convo with a man at the end of the bar. She knew I was there. Finally I waved and asked if I could get a drink and she rolled her eyes and said yes. What is with this girl? What kinda game is that? Rude The only reason I'm giving two stars and not one is because another employee came in when she left and while he was nicer, was still only chatting it up with locals and I had to interrupt their conversation to be served.
