The sandwiches people talk about are solid, and you can sit there with a drink, look out toward the river, and have yourself a pretty decent time. The staff treated me right too and believe me, that doesn't always happen. Sometimes I walk into a place and I get no respect... no respect at all. Now why not five stars? Well, it's like climbing a staircase. This place isn't stuck on the bottom steps it's about three-quarters of the way up. But it just doesn't reach that top landing. It's missing a little magic, a little spark in the ambiance. Everything's good, don't get me wrong, but it's a bit plain Jane. I save five stars for when a place really knocks my socks off and my socks are still on. But hey, four stars is still a good place to be.

You have to plan ahead to get to happy hour because it ends at 5:00 p.m. Order at the bar, collect your drinks then they bring your meal to the table. Open garage doors letting in the sun, lots of patio seating. Loud music, fun decor. Started with a draft beer ($5) and a draft blackberry cider ($5), brilliant in color and yummy flavor. Husband went with the chowder for dinner, not sure how that goes with beer. I ordered the fish tacos. The chowder was lovely, rich and creamy but not super thick. The fish tacos were INCREDIBLE! Three giant tacos on corn tortillas, huge pieces of fish and an excellent chipotle aoli. Loaded with cabbage and cotija cheese, these tacos needed nothing but the side of Pico to complete them. They were so good, husband ordered them for himself on our next visit. I probably did not need three, but they were so good I stuffed myself. On our second visit, he ordered the tacos and I ordered a cheeseburger. We started with half a dozen buffalo wings. This visit the food wasn't as spectacular. The wings were tiny, dried up and overly crunchy from frying too long. The burger was simply ordinary although it looked pretty good on the plate. I appreciate that they offer sweet potato fries without an upcharge, and they were good. At least husband got to enjoy the fabulous fish tacos! Anyway, more beer and cider, and off we went. I am sure they get a tremendous bar crowd later in the evening but happy hour is my jam. Till next time, Iggy's!

There's both street parking and a parking lot. It's quite small and quaint, mostly accessed thru a door upstairs in the hall near the restaurant or from an outside door behind the building. It's nicely decorated and didn't have a whole lot of space inside. With current social distancing standards it may be hard to get into, but that makes it a great place for a romantic meal or a quiet conversation. There's a fire place that adds to this feel. There are lots of interesting things to rest your eyes on while you hang out. I imagine most people who take advantage of this actually enjoy the outdoor area located adjacent to the hotel and the golf course. We had a meal, this location seems to share the same menu as the Sand Trap Pub which is upstairs and much larger. I've come to enjoy the vegan option of the Mystic burger. I also had a wine flight which seemed pretty reasonable at 10$. My partner had a cider which I was surprised to see came in a can, I can't recall what food he had. Our server was great and very attentive. This location closed earlier than the upstairs on our visit, but not sure what their non covid hours are like.

The garden doesn't have a view, but it's a nice garden that lets you breathe in the ocean air. The owner is super friendly and helpful, and they stock mostly Oregon and Washington wine, so you get a good Pacific Northwest taste. I had two different glasses, and they were both good and easy to drink. I also got some snacks. The snacks menu is pretty basic and not that extensive, but it's presented in a charming and quaint way. Very homey but sophisticated at the same time. If you like wine and you're in the area, definitely worth checking out.

They have a private parking lot available, plus street parking for overflow. We were greeted and seated upon entering the restaurant. The decor is typical for McMenamins locations...lots of wood, old antique light fixtures, etc. It's a warm and cozy vibe. The menu is similar to their other restaurants with a few seafood items added. We decided on the steak and mushroom bites, jojos, a cup of chowder, and the fish and chips. We enjoyed everything except the clam chowder. It was super runny and had large chunks of white onions. The onions weren't cooked long enough, in my opinion. They were still crunchy and the flavor overpowered the soup. I didn't get any seafood flavor from the clams. I definitely wouldn't order that again. I was glad I only ordered a cup. For dessert we ordered the peanut butter pie. My oh my, was it delicious! It was the star of our entire meal. I hope they never remove this from their menu! Overall a nice dinner with friendly and helpful staff. We would recommend when staying at the hotel.
