This is a townie dive bar so as a greasy biker of course it's my kind of place. There is actually another dive bar in this tiny burb that I like better but this place is definitely ok. They have Colorado Koolaid light on tap so that and a burger and I'm a happy guy. They also serve up Chinese that's the sort of Chinese you'd never actually find in China but that's ok. The special is usually pretty good. No complaints at all. Staff is great. They leave you alone if you don't want to be bothered but are very attentive if you need anything or refills. Just what you'd expect from a townie bar eve though I don't live here. North Plains used to be out in the boondocks but with urban sprawl it isn't so much anymore. I like the people out here. Blue collar folks who actually work for a living. I mostly stop in here for a beer and a burger when I'm on my way home from the coast. They also put on a great breakfast and open up early so it's a good place to stop when I am headed west. read more

If you expect fine dining you need to go somewhere else. It's a Dive Bar on the edge of civilization. I had a decent burger and outstanding tots, very crunchy and hot. The Bloody Mary was regular mix. The bartender was very busy, she did the cooking as well, the restaurant was closed, and she did a fine job. She exceeded expectations. This WAS a place we liked to come to for a quick breakfast... Corinna was awesome and knew what we wanted and how we liked our eggs etc Not sure what happened or why she isn't there any longer, but the place is falling apart now Took 20 minutes to place our order. During this time,we watched a table of 5 walk out. We also watched every other table have to send food back because it was NOT what they ordered. Our order finally arrived only to have scrambled eggs instead of over medium that was ordered. They tried to blame it on a new computer system that was sending the orders to the kitchen wrong. Then to top it off the owner or manager was conducting business at a booth nearby with her speaker phone on. Ugggg Corinna was the "glue" that held this place together I give them 6 months to run this place in the ground. read more

If you like food that comes from the frozen section of your supermarket, buy it there instead of paying extra to have them serve it to you here. Forgettable atmosphere, the only good thing about this place was the waitress who tried to be helpful with suggestions, stating that she wouldn't recommend anything that she felt was bad. This food is tasteless, so not sure just how she could recommend anything. Forget about stopping here, drive the extra distance to Hillsboro or anywhere else, not worth it. Bleah! read more

We want to thank your beautiful waitress on Monday the 27th of August. We had just finished up at a festival and wanted to support local community before we went home. Tried a different restaurant in the town and they would not serve us but when we walked in to your restaurant at closing time, she stayed open for us and treated us like family. We had a great meal and never once did she try to hurry us even though she was technically closed. We were all so grateful to her and the cook staff for taking care of us. Each year we return for the festival Faerieworlds and each year we will make sure to stop and eat at your wonderful restaurant. The food was good and the service incredible. read more

This is a small bar in North Plains. Doesn't look like much, but the bartender is super friendly and she highly recommended the Chinese food. Well, I took a chance and guess what? It was delicious. Exceeded my expectations! We were trying to go to the Helvatia bar and grill, but it was super packed and always is. So we went here instead. My husband got a burger and it was delicious as well. Service needs improving. They forgot to brings items we ordered. Tables all around us remained uncleared (it wasn't that busy to do this). When we finally got our food it was good but it took forever. When our bill came the forgotten item was on our bill. Horrible service. Forgot silverware, never refilled coffee or water till we asked, flies everywhere...I had basic eggs hashbrown toast bacon. Meh. My brothers plate was not cooked at same time, and all of us were almost done with our plates by the time his came. That is pretty darn bad!! None of us even took to go boxes. Yuck. Service and company was great. We walked in at 2pm and was informed that they close at 230 so was a little rushed in ordering. Settled for burgers and fries, burger with egg and bacon on it. Was an ok burger, and fries were frozen type. The company was great though, we were the only ones there so we chatted with the waitress as we ate, she was very nice and fun to talk to. Great place for an entomologist to eat and do work at the same time. I think they made a mistake when they sat us in our booth. Obviously it was already taken by a family of 12 flies. The people and staff are friendly, unfortunately so are the 12th generation flies constantly dive-bombing you while you try to eat. If you are brave enough to eat here, I'd recommend having an arm free to swat at them. The regulars brushed it off like it was part of the charm. Suzie, the cook, forgot to make my husband's breakfast. My husband, brother-in-law and I were here on 6/24/18, on a Sunday. There were only two or three other people in the restaurant. We wondered why there weren't more people in the restaurant. Our waitress was really nice and gave outstanding service. Twenty minutes after ordering, the waitress brought out my breakfast and my brother-in-law's breakfast. A few minutes later our waitress came over and apologized to my husband because Suzie, the cook, forgot to make my husband's breakfast. So he waited, and waited. Our waitress came back about five minutes later and told us that she was paying for all of our breakfasts because this never should have happened. My husband told her to just skip making his breakfast. The waitress said that the cook had just 'started' cooking it. The waitress said that the cook was cooking it now. We waited for another 15 minutes, and during this time we saw about five or six platefuls of food being brought out to other customers. My husband just asked the waitress to just put his breakfast in a to go box. He thanked our waitress and walked out the door, because he was so frustrated. My brother-in-law went up to the counter. The owner blocked and stood in front of our waitress at the cash register. The owner charged my brother-in-law for two of our three breakfasts. I told our waitress and the owner that the waitress should not have to be the one to pay for our breakfast because it wasn't her fault. Suzie, the cook, has made several mistakes throughout the years, but hasn't made any mistakes in the past few years on our orders. We only live two minutes away from the restaurant. When we got home my husband ate his breakfast and it was cold! We have enjoyed eating breakfast here for over thirty years. But, NOT ANY MORE!!!!!!! read more
