Have always had good experiences at this location. Friendly service and great food, what more do you need? Their burgers and tots always deliver, and they have a stellar Reuben as well.

This is one of my favorite Mcmenamins, and not just because they have African peanut soup. This is one of the few Mcmenamins that have a pizza and chicken strips on the kid's menu. My son loved playing shuffleboard. Highly recommend

Gyro and tots

When your server tells you that the special of the day is African peanut soup, you don't hesitate to give it a try. What are African peanuts, and how do they end up in a soup at a pub in Oregon? I'm not really sure, but I'm forever glad I tried it. Our experience was great-from the friendly service to the unique flavors. We might not have been the traditional pub patrons, as we didn't order beers on tap (or beer at all), but we enjoyed our lunch. The soup that I mentioned is a bit spicy, but not so much that the average person can't power through it. (I'm a bit on the wimpy side, so anything spicy usually makes my eyes water. I handled this like a champ.) The tots were also delish. I've noticed tots on lots of menus around Oregon. Maybe that's a thing? I like it. The ambiance of the restaurant is very unusual-and it works. The artwork on the ceiling, mixed with the hanging plants all around give this place a special character that you won't find in any old chain restaurant.

I keep coming back to the restaurant because of this blacksmith steak sandwich. It's the best sandwich I've ever had and am going to be very sad when it goes! I had the best waiter and they were very attentive. They had the cutest ice cream cone tattoo too. I hope they bring this sandwich back sooner rather than later! Also, they have sweet potato fries! Which is my favvvvv.

Customer service 10/10 they know how to treat customers of all kinds. Cleanlyness: 10/10, every unoccupied table nice and clean and mine actively cleaned as i got done with stuff. Food quality and execution 10/10: Chef Sim knows what they are doing. Music and interior design 10/10: it takes you to a place far better. The long island: took me to the galaxy cosmos. The winter cocktail: brought me back home mentally. The communication breakdown: One of the best burgers ever. The fries: always a favorite with how both crisp and dift they are. Salad: Nice and vegital to get me thru the feast. Onion rings: truely unique with softness and crispymess with the onion staying in the shell. Overall experance 100/10, beyond perfection, can beyond reccomend and will always be back.

Easy convenient parking in a mall. They are known for beer and mixed drinks. Food was ok. Sweet potato fries were greasy. Our server was great. We were passport holders so we got our stamps and a free meal due to filling up the appropriate page. Pretty quiet place with not a lot of people when we went.

I've tried less of the food than the mocktails, but the Mac and cheese served fajita style on a hot plate was quite good. I also like the casual atmosphere and the willingness of the staff to go with the flow.

Because it's somewhat hidden in the corner of a Safeway shopping plaza. Look for the Baskin Robbins or Wells Fargo ATM and your find it. Like other reviews, when busy, parking can be a bit horrendous. But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. Don't forget to check the chalkboard next to the bar for specialty dishes and drinks. As for dining-in, they've got sturdy wooden tables that can accommodate 4-8 people. Bar stools by the windows, and a fairly large outside patio area. And with the times I've been here, I've never seen a dirty table. Very well maintained (two thumbs up). A few TV monitors showing the game, but its not like a noisy sportsbar. * Drinks & Services* You've got your choice of craft beers that rotate like a standard tap room. They also have tasty seasonal cocktails, but their normal everyday cocktails are just as good. And if you're gonna have a charcuterie board, then you've got to offer a wine list option right? Well they got that too! One last thing to mention, they've got some top-shelf bourbon and whiskey. The 649 is a bar that offers it all! Service has also been welcoming and top-notch. I recall only been served by Rich, Steven, and Crystal, but they always seem to craft up some lovely cocktails. Or deliver some clean tasting everyday type of bar food as well. * Last Call * Normally in my reviews, I'd list every item that I've tried, with price included. But The 649 is such a unique type of bar experience that I feel you should try for yourself; To me, their offerings are reasonably priced. Dining in is nothing fancy, but service is excellent. It's a great hangout for a business date, of even after a first date. I've got nothing but love for local support!

The dog was topped with their outstanding beer cheese and crispy bacon bits, all served on a pretzel bun that is made in-house; truly, what more do you need? This is a great location in downtown Beaverton with a very friendly staff. The service model is straightforward; you order at the bar and the food is brought out to your table, and then you bus your own dishes afterward.
