I work right across from here at PCC. This place I've been to over the years. Not my favorite place for food but it will do in a pinch. Mediocre. The pandemic has been hard on all of us. I'm just grateful our neighborhood watering hole is still making our tasty treats to go. I've stopped up here a couple of times since the governor's order and found the service prompt and the food spot on. They also have growler fills available. One of the fun things they have added to their menu is fresh donuts and I'm thinking that is something that needs to remain after this temporary closure has passed. Now open 4p to 8p for take out or Grub Hub delivery (closed Sunday-Monday) give them a try for a taste of your favorites foods at home. I'll be back to give them a try again. read more

The wilted spinach salad and the Salmon fettuccine alfredo pesto are both fantastic and fabulous dishes. I live close by, but never visited this restaurant until this year. They have a private patio that makes one feel like they are up in the trees. I ate here twice this year including about a month ago in October and in the summer - both times I ate outside on their patio, and loved it. The pasta had a lot of salmon in it and it was very flavorful and extremely delicious. Just amazing. Definitely get this dish if you enjoy Salmon. I really enjoyed all the food we ordered and it was reasonable for the portion sizes we received. This is a "new to me" restaurant that I definitely would recommend. read more

Worst. Food. Ever. Like seriously, no lie. Our dinner was completely inedible. The spinach and artichoke dip was so mayonnaise-y and oily that it remained entirely untouched, and the Chicken Piccata that I ordered (which is normally one of my favorite meals) was so salty, that it tasted like someone had dropped an entire salt shaker on there by mistake (or at least I'm hoping it wasn't intentional), because it was bad, bad, bad. Like so bad, I gave up after 2 or 3 bites and just threw everything into the garbage. A complete waste of money on a Friday night when I was already so hungry I would've eaten just about anything... well, almost. Total disappointment. read more

The service by Susan was outstanding. She is friendly, mixes a great cocktail and sees to your every need. The food is very inconsistent having eaten there twice in a week and a half. I ordered a cup of clam chowder the first visit. It was very thick but had a nice clammy flavor. Ordered the same on second visit and found the soup so thick it actually held my spoon upright. It was very salty to the point of being inedible. First visit ordered cod fish and chips which was good but not outstanding. Second visit I ordered one of their signature dishes, wilted spinach. It was awful. Drenched with a thick oily dressing and overwhelmed with blue cheese, raisins, mushrooms and an egg. Could have had other toppings but could not bring myself to dig deeper into this mess. This dish needs some finesse and less of everything. Ambiance is neighborhood hangout. If you go, have Susan make you a cocktail and avoid the wilted spinach salad. read more

Stop here on our way home from PDX. I had the specials of the day and my daughter had the pulled pork without a bun. I have to say hands down the Jalapeno Chicken Mac and Cheese with was awesome... bowl licking good. The pulled pork sandwich was huge and she ended up half in to eat it with a fork because the lettuce was not supporting the sandwich. lol read more

Located across the street from the PCC Sylvania Campus in a hidden strip-mall houses what I would consider to be a college-town pub slightly out of its element in Lake Oswego. The atmosphere inside is pretty dingy and looks like it's still trying to cling on to its old glory days of decades past, but that's expected of what an old college-town pub would be like. It's not for me personally. Oh, and there's patio seating...with spiders... What makes this place amazing is the "Walter Mitty's 'World Famous' Wilted Spinach Salad." You get hot teriyaki chicken, diced bacon, a hard-boiled egg, blue cheese crumbles, warm artichoke hearts, mushrooms slices (not for me), and spinach leaves mixed into a devilishly delicious meal that's probably not very healthy for you, but so what! Service has always been fast and friendly, even though the food has been very hit-and-miss with other items on the menu: The halibut fish & chips portion size is very small and not worth the price and the soups have been a constant source of disappointment. However, I'm told by my friends that the burgers are quite good. Apart from this, the other offerings seem to be very average at a solid 3 stars. I have kept coming back to this place since I first reviewed it, and much of what I said in the first review still goes. Upgrading by one star, because the service is always awesome and the food is consistently good, but not great. I love that they remained open in the '23 February snow storm. My wife and I were caught unprepared by the severity of the storm and trekked to this restaurant in our YakTrax to warm up and get hot food and drinks while our power was out. read more

I stopped in here to have a little me time after studying for my finals. The bartenders and staff are super friendly. Every night at 10 pm they give out free pizza. I think that is very nice, and if you're feeling famished after a few beers you might want a snack. They have a nice patio, and view from the deck. I'm laughing at the poor reviews given for mittys. This spot is wonderful especially if you live in the area you know how special this place is. Food is always great and it's my favorite place to get together with people I haven't seen in a while. I love especially in summertime when it's warm enough to sit on the back patio and eat. The waiters always are so sweet and go out of their way. It's not fancy inside whatsoever and that's what gives it the great feel and laid back vibe. I used to frequent this place back in the late 90's and early 2000's. I stopped by the other day for the first time in years. It's still the same place. It appears to have a good number of regulars and several decent beers/ciders on tap. The bartenders are excellent. Prompt and courteous. They may be the owners; I don't know. Suffice it to say, they were first rate. One of the coolest features about this bar is it's actual location. Beautiful Mountain Park. It's overlooking the PCC Sylvania campus. The smoking area is one of the best I have experienced. A nice little covered nook next to cedar siding with a beautiful view of the campus. It has a nice natural feel and it's kept clean. Waters has been open since 1982 very relaxing atmosphere great patio to hang out and watch the sunset. Killer top shelf margaritas. Aww man I don't understand how this place has such a sad rating. Really? I mean, mittys is a classic! Plus it's probably the only independently owned non-corporate restaurant in LO! So this is the dl, you will get great drinks, they have friendly wait staff that have been working there fooorever so this is a place where people remember your name! They have nice tvs for sporting events and in the summer the deck is great place to chill, you can always find sunshine or shade and there's no 1hr wait involved. I like the ambiance...its very warm and inviting. I would probably go back just for that. It was really hard to find so if it is your first time going, just know that it is on the top above the parking garage, but the entrance is in the corner of the upper parking-lot-strip-mall area. Walter Mitty's is one of the mysteries of the universe....... I've been here a dozen times. Year after year, I always leave less and less satisfied and more perplexed why on earth anyone would eat here. But more over, why would I ever return? My last visit answered all the questions in this Walter's Universe. It was a crystal ball of sorts and it predicted: I will NOT return. EVER The food was less than mediocre. I ordered the apricot Dijon chicken. What I want to know is, how did they get the chicken to hold still long enough to be drenched in the 8 ounces of smuckers apricot jam? Even if it was just a tablespoon, I could have eaten it, but it was literally swimming in a pool and the sad chicken breast drowned a terrible death. On the positive side: the baked potato was good. (But, WHO CAN MESS UP A BAKED POTATO?) The bread was under cooked, salad greens were brown. The whole meal was awful. My co-life guard had the fish and chips and said they were passable, thus 1 extra star. I suppose I went here (over and over) hoping it would be better and at times it was. Also, the fact that they are locally owned, makes it difficult to write this review. But, I thought I would share my experience because mine appears to be very different from others who have dined here. Terrible food, comparable to Denny's.
