We had been working in West Lynn and wanted to eat there - somewhere. Our YELP app showed us that very near was the highly-rated Dub's Tavern. It was dinnertime and plenty of cars in the lot. Nonetheless, we found a table right away. Our server was friendly and took our order when we were ready. Hubby had the Prime Rib special, medium well, with a loaded baked potato, horseradish, and au jus. And sautéed broccoli and carrots. I had beef nachos. The proportions were large and it tasted great. I took home much of it for lunch the next day (2x). Negatives: I asked our waitress, if there was anything spicy, in my nachos, and she none. I found jalepenos slices and the salsa was hot. I also didn't care for the avocados (they're brown), and the sour cream on my nachos. I'm picky how fresh my avocados are unless I'm fixing them. Service was friendly and fast. This was a great hole in the wall bar, that we stopped at on the way to getting a Christmas tree. The people inside seemed to be mostly regulars, and really having a great time. I had the nachos, medium, and they were enormous!! You could feed a family on those nachos. The nachos had a ton of toppings meat, cheese, tomatoes, jalapeños, beans I think. I think this is a case of right place, wrong day. This place is a golf place, with a dive bar feel. And the feeling is good. But I came in and all I had was the mac & cheese. The people were great, the service was fast and smooth and perfectly timed. The mac & cheese was just OK. It was fine, pasta, and cheese. But the cheese was a little thin to be a singular dish. That's it if you're gonna make mac & cheese a dish on its own, make the cheese a little thicker. Can't wait to come back and try hamburger. read more

This is a classic pub set up with local and state decor for teams. So much to keep your eyes busy. The service was great. Friendly, prompt. We ordered a BLT with some add ons and waffle fries, the taco salad, and brisket burnt ends with tots. The tots were amazing, as well as the waffle fries. The taco salad was fine, would recommend extra meat and beans. Besides them it's mainly lettuce. When they mean burnt ends it really is burnt ends. A little more than my liking. Breakfast - at this lil dive bar - a TRUE dive bar with great wall art composed of years gone by ... was a HUGE hit with us! We were housesitting off Stafford Road and couldn't wait to try them b/c they have chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy. (making my Southern Girl heart sing...) Was not a disappointment. Enormous biscuits, huge portions, great gravy (b/c I no longer can tolerate Miller's sadly anymore since they changed management) was thrilled to find great gravy!!! We split the breakfast and still had leftovers. Worth the drive over for sure. Will go back FOR SURE! The waitresses were are super friendly. The drive beautiful b/c it is out in the country. Since 1885 - family run local treasure formerly named "wankers corner". ALL characters and real people welcome. Incredible vibe - and food is amazing. Something for everyone - but of particular interest and highlight for my guy is the Brisket Burnt Ends , arriving hot and sizzling on a griddle! I came to Dub's Tavern with a friend as we always look for someplace new to eat. When I walked inside, I was surprised by the comfortable ambiance. I loved all the license plates on the wall and a comfortable looking bar. There were nice big tables to sit at. We each decided on the Brisket Sandwich which came with grilled onions, and coleslaw on a toasted bun. This was a delicious tasting sandwich. The service was great here as well, even during Happy Hour. Normally I'm concerned when I see a little bigger menu, but honestly the food tasted great. I'll certainly be back here again. read more

I haven't lived in the area for a while however this was a favorite spot. We came in recently and it was pretty busy after waiting for about 25 minutes. The waitress came over and took our drink order. She asked if we were new as there was a bill on the table ( with an $80 tip I might add) when she returned with the drinks we told her we were ready to order food. Her response was a nasty one yelling (you and everyone else in here) I couldn't believe it. I'd never been talked to like that before. Needless to say, we probably won't be coming back. You would think after an $80 tip she would have some holiday cheer, some people should never work in service. Long week, so not cooking! We decided to try Dubs at Wanker's Corner last night. So glad we did! Service was good and the atmosphere rustic and relaxing. A neighborhood bar, in the family for ages. I had the steak dinner which was a special last night. It came with a side salad (meh), steak - yum, cooked just as I ordered it and mashed potatoes. Such a generous portion that I brought half home and we had steak and eggs with potato pancakes for brunch today ! Double yum!! My husband had the Ruben sandwich which was reported to be very good. We came in tonight to try and get some food and a beer. After sitting and waiting for 25 minutes the little blond waitress came over and asked if we were new cause there was a bill on the table. We replied yeah we are ready to order. She took our drink order. When she came back with the drinks I said we would like to order some food and she yelled at me saying you and everybody else. My favorite neighborhood biker bar has new ownership and was rechristened, Dub's Tavern. There is a lot of history here but it feels like a full circle moment since the current name pays homage to the original owner, Dubs Wanker (pronounced Wonker). You can find an offshoot of the earlier business in Wilsonville, Wanker's Corner and Saloon. Happy to report that the new owners have kept the Corner Saloon's menu largely intact, so our favorite burgers and enchiladas with Manny's sauce are still available. The interior with all of the signs and kitschy objects remains the same, but the outdoor wood patio has been rebuilt. Lots of wood picnic tables outside with umbrellas, which is how we enjoyed dining her through all of COVID. It is a good place to watch a game and enjoy basic food and drink. Nothing fancy, just a local watering hole with solid food and beverage choices and reasonable prices. There is live music on Thursday and Friday nights and as we were leaving a group of motorcycles pulled up. Nice that nothing really has seemed to change. Haven't been here since Wankers moved to Wilsonville many many years ago, but wow, I have been missing out. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent! I came during happy hour and ordered the tacos, and the ribs and they were both delicious. Others in our group ordered from the regular menu and had only good things to say about hero Burgers. Nice staff and decent food, but the patrons were jerks. I get it. I'm from a small town and everywhere has this kind of place. The regulars know the staff, get preferential service and treat the infrequent guest like an interloper. It's too bad. Sorry I chose Dub's for dinner and drink. I would best describe this as an upscale dive bar. But then what would you expect from a divey-looking, road-side tavern that's next to WL and LO. Service was friendly and 'over the top' - we seated ourselves only to find three (yes 3) wait staff people walk by asking if we were helped. It was late morning and we were here for breakfast. The place was thankfully not packed so that along was a big plus. Food arrived quickly and was cooked perfectly. We both had veggie omelettes with country potatoes - I can't recall when I had country potatoes that had a healthy dose of garlic - super yummy. It's the place that is packed with road-side "sculpture" and any snooty IPA lovers would long for a Montucky or PBR or go upscale and order a Coors. As we walked out to the gravel, parking lot I noticed a few Teslas, an old, restored Land Rover (1955 ish), a few Bimmers, and was that a Bentley in the far corner? Dunno. read more
