I feel like it gas been a long time since I have had such a good latte. The scone didn't do it for me, Marion berry(i think) flavor was not there and I am looking for a specific scone when it comes to texture, so maybe this is a me thing and you should judge for yourself. The coffee beans here are esspensive...they are good don't get me wrong but not quite enough to buy a bag for my at home coffee machine.

Food is great and the coffee is the best you can get. They take pride in their coffee. I have been going there since I was teenager and really there is no better coffee. The place is inviting, you catch yourself sitting for hours just enjoying the space and company you're with. I see older groups come in and just talk and have a great time catching up. I absolutely love seeing the happiness all at one table and the staff knows everyone and what they want and need. I have been going to BJ's coffee since I was a kid, 25+ years ago! I used to get hot cocoa and "cocoa things" (rolled wafer treats). Over the last decade, I have visited this coffee shop to study for school exams, get work done, or to just stop in and have a cup of coffee. We tried their food (panini's) and recently their breakfast burritos and sandwich. Every single item we've ordered has been phenomenal. Right now, my favorites are the breakfast burrito and the Borgia Mocha. To die for. The wait times are never long, customer service is wonderful. Prices are absolutely reasonable. It's like getting Portland quality food/coffee and ambiance for way less, right here in FG. The coffee roast is one of the best the area. It's rich, smooth, and creamy. Doesn't leave that intense coffee taste in your mouth, only a little smooth bitterness classic of a perfectly roasted / brewed shot of espresso... Coffee 10/10. Food 10/10. All around one of my favorites and my go to!!! read more

Absolutely a delight to go there - lots of choices in Forest Grove for coffee but they've got the magic down pat. It's a big place that still feels cozy. Sometimes the musician brings his harp in and plays -more magic. Their menu is consistent and very nice - just enough for breakfast, brunch or something sweet w the best coffee ever! It's their own, well-researched roast of course. Staff - I don't know how they manage to get such wonderful folks to work but I've always been impressed. Always excellent coffee, food and service. We're new to the area and had to find our place, BJs Is by far the best. They have multiple seating options inside and out. They have a website to order online and even have beans and supplies. The staff is always a pleasure to talk with and they are very considerate and kind. The coffee is top notch and they have multiple other offerings that are delicious as well should you for some reason not want coffee. Notably - the blended hot cocoa that my husband is in love with. The baked goods are excellent, we've tried quite a few and have yet to be disappointed. As is the breakfast special, it's my go to and hits the spot every time. Great Coffee, the only reason this does not get 5 stars is the price. It is a bit spendy but the quality is amazing and staff are nice.

I got an iced white mocha which was so creamy and the flavor was amazing, not too sweet but perfectly bold and balanced sweetness. I also got the croissant muffin(it has a special name) but it was absolutely amazing. A great pasty to go with the white mocha. The staff were nice and I liked the atmosphere. read more

Good service from the guy at cash register. Good drip coffee. The breakfast panini is what's lacking. It was like eating a crispy, bone-dry sponge. Or a mouthful of croutons. And when I think panini, I think of a flattened sandwich. This was more like toast and ham and cheese, and a dried, fried egg. They definitely need to add some kind of sauce to the sandwich. (Yes, it came w their "house sauce," which was tasty. But it didn't help the desert in my mouth.) read more

She was about to get her hair done, and wanted to surprise her hairdresser with a coffee so she asked the team for help on what she usually order. Cute place in the food wasteland of Forest Grove. But... Turkey sausage sweet potato "soup of the day"... the chalkboard reads like it is homemade in a stock pot. We waited five minutes and watches the server, in an empty cafe, "prepare" it From the refrigerator and what looked like a can. There was no stock pot, I can tell you that. It tasted ok but two hours later I have an upset stomach. read more

Decided to stop by after living around the area for a few years. I don't know why I waited so long! I only got coffee to-go but, it's a very cute place. BJ's is a great little local coffee house. I've been there a number of times, but this occasion was while we were waiting for our car battery to get swapped over at Les Schwab a block west. So Wife N. and I had an hour to kill, and decided to head over to BJ's Coffee Co. They feature all the expected coffee-esque items (coffee, latte's, Americanos, etc.) and also have some pretty good edibles. Wife N and I shared a lovely berry cream-cheese filled pastry that was just fantastic. I also had a turkey sandwich that was great---good amount of meat, tomatoes, cream cheese--nice sandwich. This is one of those coffee shops with that small-town feel. You know how you walk into any Starbucks and have roughly the exact same experience, same look and feel, same crowd, same "get in get out get moving" crowd? BJ's isn't like that. BJ's is that small town, same people every day, locals and cops hang here, piano-in-the-room that you can play and just a fantastic and lovely staff, with BJ almost always there watching over things. This is the coffee place you go to get your cup of whatever, brought to your table, and you just relax and hang out for a while. And it's great. Yeah, you're sucking down the caffeine which is (naturally) pumping up that heart rate, but everything else in here gives off that "just relax and hang out" vibe. Coffee quality is great---small family place that roasts their own coffee, and the edibles are good as well. I don't come here nearly enough. I really should more often. read more

Sandwiched between a couple of lunch places, I never paid much attention to BJ's when I visited the shopping center. However, a friend suggested we grab lunch before class there so I decided to pick up a coffee while I was at it. OH MY GOODNESS. but really, where have I been?! The Mocha is seriously amazing. If you ever watch the own, she steams the milk to the perfect temperature before combining it with fresh brewed coffee. There is so much thought put into her production process. Whenever I pick up my cup of coffee from the counter there now, I have this instant wave of warmth and comfort that fills me with joy. You have got to try the coffee at this place. Best coffee shop this side of Tire & Pour's on Belmont. Always friendly customer service. I like the selection of treats they have in house. I think it's Marsee Baking who provides the excellent pastries. Seasonal treats are fun and there's a daily selection that seems to change whenever I visit. My favorite is the house blend. It's gotta be magic the way Nate roasts them beans 'cause it's damn good. Oh so smooth. Just brilliant. The shop is generally buzzing with business and they offer a great selection of grub for breakfast and lunch. I know they don't make their own quiche - it's bland probably store bought and that's okay. I had it once won't bother with it again. It's the coffee and the treats is why I stop in. BJ does a fantastic job - so glad I found them - and so glad they're in Forest Grove (the town seriously needs them 'cause coffee choices are limited). Note: It seems Phillip F has an issue with your baristas claims they smell funny. Maybe if he wasn't so busy smelling them he could have chilled and smelled the beans. read more

The coffee we got was terrible. It had a grainy/powdery type texture and just didn't taste very quality. Zero stars for the coffee. One star for the food. We each got a deluxe breakfast burrito which for $5.50 I was surprised at how small they were. The burritos were pretty decent but the lack of bacon was a big disappointment and the liquid cheese sauce was pretty gross as well. We won't be going back here. read more
