Just came for the boba as there are not many spots in forest grove to satisfy my craving. Ordered the wintermelon milk tea and it was pretty good. As a warning, the drink does land on the sweet side. I wasn't feeling pearly so I opted for lychee jelly instead. My friend did say that the pearls were good though. We went during late afternoon, so there were no customers and no wait. Living here in Forest Grove just 4 miles from nowhere means sometimes the restaurant selection isn't as great as living in a bigger city. So when hitting the local Safeway (next door) I saw the sign and hey, I like a good Pho, so, let's do it! Apparently, they are currently (09/12/24) in a "soft opening", which...I'm not sure what that means besides "we're new here...". Thursday evening 6:00pm and had my choice of table. The restaurant was pretty empty (8 other patrons in this massive 3000sqft space), but emptiness is probably typical this early on a Thursday evening. Ordered an A1 "Salad Rolls" and a P1 "Pho Pot Special", their deluxe-style soup bowl with several kinds of beef, meatballs, tendon and (I had them add) tripe. 15 minutes later (I was beginning to wonder how salad rolls which take 3 minutes to prepare were taking so long in an empty house) the Goi Cuon arrived with its peanut dip. Pretty decent. Fresh and crisp and their peanut sauce was great. A couple minutes later, the Pho arrived. First thing I always do is get a good whiff of the broth and taste a sip before adding anything (Thai basil, mung bean sprouts, lime and jalapeno are typically served to be added to taste). I want to make out all the flavors and aromas that go into each unique recipe. This broth was...average. Nothing amazing stood out in terms of depth. It was a simple broth that I think just needed a few more hours to really come together, and maybe more spice...cardamom, star anise...anything... There were meat balls and two types of beef in the soup: brisket and I believe round steak. The brisket was tender, but the round was cut very think (almost 1/4" thick) and was really overcooked and chewy. I think they just needed to cut it much thinner and it would have been easier to tackle. Other elements in the soup were decidedly average. Living here for 25 years, Wife N and I have come to realize there's "good food" and there's "Forest Grove-good food". "Forest Grove good" is what we call some of the higher-end places in the Grove that have good food "for Forest Grove," but are really lacking and pale when compared with anything in Portland. In other words, if your plan is to stay in the Grove, you won't find a better bowl of Pho. But if a GREAT bowl of Pho is what you seek, seek elsewhere. Even Hillsboro has better options. read more

The boba is SO YUMMY. They serve you an ice cold milk tea with delicious melt in your mouth WARM boba. I've never had warm fresh boba like that it's so goods. The food is I think pretty average BUT the vegetarian pho IS SO GOOD the veggie broth is amazing highly rec. read more

I was really hoping we'd like this place and good news we do! It is so delicious I can't wait to go back! If you like Vietnamese food, give this place a try and support local. We usually go out to Beaverton for a good viet spot but this place is so good and fresh and tastes very authentic. We got the grilled chicken and vermicelli salad bowl and a grilled chicken sandwich. This is our second time eating at Pho Pot. Our server was very sweet and helpful. The restaurant was clean and quiet. They are still a work in progress, adding to the menu and seating while providing a pleasant atmosphere and a variety of dishes. My husband ordered the newest addition, Bahn Mi, which he enjoyed. I ordered the vermicelli salad bowl with pork which was delicious - I would definitely order it again! I appreciate the fresh vegetables and delicate seasonings. The pork was tender and tasty. Can't wait to try them again! It's a luxury to have a good Pho restaurant five minutes from my house and I want them to succeed!! read more

Went in here after having lunch delivered to FGHS which was delicious and was hopeful. Unfortunately, the service was horrible. I asked for no onions since I am allergic. My food was packed with onions and the waitress said they could not remake it without onions without charging me for both. She did not come back to take my husband's order and she never once asked how our meal was or came back to fill our drinks. Ice cream machine was the only potential high point in a really disappointing and unappetizing meal...and...you guessed it- it was not working. I had to go to the counter to check out and she still did not ask how our meal was. Not only will I not go back - they really had horrible customer service and I saw a teacher friend afterwards and told her so they are now losing out and the place was dead- so the poor customer service made no sense. read more

3 stars because the food wasn't bad. Was it the best pho we've ever had? No. But as someone else said in their review, for FG...it was ok. And the servers we had were very nice and friendly! Now for the not so good - The restaurant itself is still very dirty. Floors are very slippery! There were flies both, big and tiny flying all around while we were eating. We even noticed a bug zapper hung up in the back so, the owners know there is a fly issue. The place needs a very deep cleaning and re-fresh because it still very much has the feel of what the old restaurant was and not in a good way. I know they've only been open a couple of months so I hope they can turn the place around because it's nice to have Viet food as an option in town. read more

Ordered soup and a sandwich to go. Soup was improperly packaged and it spilled in the bag and of course through the bag so it leaked everywhere. Sandwiches were ordered without jalapeños and both came with the peppers. Even the receipt stated no jalapeños. So I didn't get to enjoy my soup nor the sandwiches. We did take the peppers out of the sandwiches but of course the taste and spice was still present. I called to let them know. No offer of refund nor compensation for a ruined meal. I will not recommend this location nor will I revisit. It was my first experience and my last. I am annoyed that I gave them a 20% tip on take out trying to be nice and appreciative. Never again. I was really excited to see a Pho restaurant in Forest Grove, and even more excited by the quality! I ordered pickup and got chicken pho and a mini bahn mi to go, and both were excellent. The flavor of the broth was amazing and the chicken was tender and juicy. The mini bahn mi were super unique- like little breadsticks with flavor cooked in the middle. My only regret is not dipping it in the broth for extra indulgence. Great stuff! Very reasonable prices for how tasty the food was and the portion size. read more

this place has amazing food and amazing service, I came in today and I was greeted and seated right away, everyone was so sweet. the service was fast, got my drinks fast, food fast, everything was fast. there were two servers today and they were both soo sweet! nothing bad to say about this place, love love love it. boba is delicious here btw! read more
