We decided to try this Vietnamese restaurant with my wife and daughter. I decided to try their Thai dish (my favorite Thai dish) eggplant with chicken. Lesson learned - don't order Thai food at Vietnamese restaurant. This dish completely lacked of flavor. My wife ordered shrimp skewer with chicken and rice. This dish was good. My daughter ordered Panang curry, and I asked server to make it zero spicy. Curry came out very spicy. We asked to change the dish and server was nice to bring a different curry with no spice. When I went to the counter to pay the bill the owner charged me for the spicy curry we didn't eat. I told her that it's not fair because we specifically asked for zero spicy. The owner didn't want to take off the dish off the bill until her husband came to talk to her in Vietnamese. After that she took off that dish off our bill. Very unprofessional of her! Caught dinner before a movie showing in the theatre just up the plaza. Portions are massive, prices are just right. Perfect on a rainy day as they kept the building cozy. A big thing I enjoy is the little plate of additional they bring to the table with jalapenos, bean sprouts and the like. Environment: first time going and it felt spacious with the high ceiling and the tables were spread out decently. The menus were posted everywhere so take your time before you order. Their chef specializes in thai wok noodle dishes too and I have been on a journey searching for the best drunken noodle aka pad kee mao in Portland/Beaverton/Tigard areas. This place came close to clutch as my top 3 across SE Portland Chai Thai cuisine and another local thai restaurant in Lakes Owesgo. Those two places had chefs from Thailand so the cooking recipes were very similar. This vietnamese places of pad kee mao was so similar even though chefs are vietnameses, they got that wok fire cooking style. Every piece of wide/fat rice noodle is coated evenly with sauce and no one piece than the other is too soggy or too al dante, just perfect. We ordered it with beef and all veggies cookies which was deliciousssssss. 10/10 recommend when you're in the area and craving for drunken noodle. I just was not able to scout them initially as their menu doesn't call it drunken noodle, they call it "wide noodle stirfry". we asked to confirm with chef that it's pad kee mao and it's $15 with beef. We love getting pho here, especially when we aren't feeling well and want something nourishing and healthy. My husband and I split a bowl. The family that runs it is super nice. Our first visit here back in May was pretty good. The food portions of our rice noodles dish was generous and service friendly. I recently ordered to-go the same dish. While the dry rice noodles dish we ordered months ago seemed consistent, it's their rice plate that was sorely lacking. The scoop of rice was much larger than the 3 pieces or so meat and few shrimp they added with the dish. I get more for the same price back at the Bay Area. They seemed to pack more rice and salad and a small portion of protein (see photo for yourself). I was clearly disappointed. Also their menu is so old and outdated. It was confusing trying to find the latest menu which I needed so that I can tell the girl what I wanted to order. When I went in to pick up my order, I asked the girl if they had a latest to-go menu so that I could actually take a photo of their selections and post it here in Yelp, the girl just directed me to their Facebook page? That was truly a headscratcher. How many people use Facebook to get information on places to eat? That's why we have Yelp for that right? So disappointed. I haven't had their pho but I've had their salad rolls on separate occasions and feel I can make an accurate assessment. If theirs one thing I hate it's being ripped off and when places do so callously. I got the pork and shrimp salad roll. The roll contained a single tiny shrimp not even positioned to be consumed in multiple bites. The inside was vermicelli and lettuce. No herbs. One time I was at a crappy Asian buffet and they had something similar. A buffet is no biggie. I get the essence of salad roll and move on. Being charged full price for this is a different story. Most Saturday mornings, I have a ritual. A sacred ritual which, if interrupted or derailed, will cause a grave disturbance in The Force. I wake up early. Drink a cup of coffee. Work out. Shower. Then, drive to my favorite breakfast place: Pho Nam. [#ProTip: It's pronounced "FUH."] Pho is a breakfast food in Vietnam; much like eggs are a dinner food in Spain. Sure, it seems counter to our American sensibilities. But once you've grown accustomed to a steaming bowl of Pho instead of a sad bowl of Frosted Flakes, your life will be altered. Pho Nam makes a particularly great Pho. The steaming broth is redolent with warm spices and beefy goodness. Pho #5 (my personal favorite) comes with slices of well done steak, meatballs, soft tendon, and tripe. Now, a bowl of tendons and tripe may not sound like the sort of thing that an American white boy would want to eat in the morning, but the flavors of these offaly bits are mild and textures--soft and chewy, never rubbery--are a pleasant counterpoint to the noodles. Oh, and about the noodles. They are a generous nest of thin, perfectly toothsome rice noodles--never stodgy or clumpy, always manageable with a set of chopsticks and wonderfully slurp-able. Pho comes with a side dish of bean spouts, a generous pile of Thai basil, two large slices of jalapeno, and a lime wedge. For the benefit of the uninitiated, squeeze that lime into the broth, tear up those basil leaves and toss them into the bowl, and shovel in all the bean spouts for a fresh, crunchy counter-texture to those wonderfully supple noodles. Each table comes with bottles of Hoisin and Sriracha sauces. Take a little saucer and squeeze in a 1:1 ratio of each. Then grab a soup spoon in one hand, and chopsticks in the other. Drop a load of noodles into the spoon. Swirl the tips of your chopsticks into the Hoisin/Sriracha mixtures, dab it on to the noodles, then slurp them down--the noisier, the better. There is no finer breakfast on God's green earth. As if I couldn't love Pho Nam more, it is (to the best of my knowledge) the only Pho shop in the greater Beaverton area that opens at 10am. Because, breakfast waits for no man! Prices are reasonable. $10.50 for filling, satisfying bowl my beloved Pho #5. The venue is clean, bright, quiet, and inviting. Owners are friendly, happy, lovely, and genuinely appreciative of your repeated return. There are many Pho places in the area, and many are really good. But I have a special place in my heart for Pho Nam. Pho Nam is pho-king great. read more

I have been here quite a few times now, so this is the combined experiences. Services - great. I mean it's not over the top come-refill-your-water-every-two-minutes kind of service, but it's always attentive, considerate, and understanding. I have been there with little ones and have never been rushed or complained to. Food - the pho is not my favorite. Either the broth or the meats meet my standard. But I'm picky about my pho. The vermicelli bowl is good. Comparable to others I had in Portland. The fried rice was one of the best I have tried and is definitely the crowd pleaser. We love this place so much! It is within walking distance so we try to visit once a month or so. It can get crowded at night so get there early or be prepared to wait for a table. The only thing we've ordered is pho because it's just so tasty. While pho is actually a breakfast food, I don't think they're open that early so we go for dinner. The broth is so flavorful. And so are the meats. We usually get brisket. It cooks right in the soup, and it's amazing. The people who own the restaurant are so sweet. They are always friendly and never mess up our order. My two sons and I spent a month in Vietnam last year and had pho there. It was super tasty there too. While the broth tastes different in Vietnam, Pho Nam does an excellent job with their own flavorful broth. This is one of our favorite Vietnamese places in the Portland area for pho. read more

The Pad Thai is amazing! I received a good size portion and they had the cabbage and bean sprouts on the side so the bean sprouts were cold. Would have liked the bean sprouts to have been warm with the pad Thai. I ordered through Grubhub and had left in the notes to please add shrimp instead of chicken and they did! My daughter had the strawberry milk tea with the tapioca and she loved it! I tried it and it was sweet so we added almond milk in it to lessen the sweetness. Not a fan of the tapioca balls myself though. We did try the fried shrimp and it wasn't too bad, it was just a little different because it was wrapped in rice paper. My go-to spot for Pho, Vietnamese and Thai. There are so many healthy options here it will take you many meals to try them all. My wife is a big fan of the pho, the broth is wonderfully complex and flavorful. She customizes the ingredients on each visit. I'm a little more boring alternating between the pad Thai and pad see ew, which has excellent broad noodles. The pineapple fried rice is on point. During the COVID challenges that are reeking havoc on locally owned restaurants, I make it a point to come here every week or two to get a great to-go meal as I'd hate to see them disappear.
