The best diner on the Oregon Coast, bar none. The service is friendly, efficient and brisk. The food is absolutely outstanding, especially their signature cinnamon roll. It's a tiny hole in the wall place but manages to be clean, warm and inviting. Even the bathroom is emaculate.

Food was excellent great service. Recommend this place to everyone very friendly good price

    Oyster breakfast was amazing.

Stopped by on our way out of town and were so happy to get a table at this super cute little diner in town. The service was fantastic, everyone was super friendly, attentive and the food came out hot, fresh and quick. It was all delicious, and we were so glad we tried one of their giant cinnamon rolls. If you are in the area, this is a great little breakfast spot, you won't be disappointed.

Just a block off Hwy 101 and we found this local cafe. Friendly waitress, efficient service and delicious breakfast. Yummy fried oysters with eggs and a blt were well cooked and satisfying. Decent price point and varied menu. The pies looked delicious for our next visit

Good breakfast/lunch meal @ Downie's Cafe in Bay City, OR. Small cafe in a small coastal town. Service was straight forward. We were checked on a few times and received drink refills. Food was pretty good, we ate our whole meal and felt satisfied. Only drawback is that we heard the waitress try to charge an extra meal to another party. They did order biscuits & gravy, but never received it and she kept it on their ticket, so they had to bring it to her attention. She then proceeded to freak out when she didn't know how to operate the hand held credit card reader... luckily by the time we wanted to check out, the problem was resolved. I would recommend, food was good.

This is my favorite cinnamon roll in the world!

Awesome oyster omelets, very crispy hash browns, and friendly service. It's small and popular so expect a wait if you don't get there early.

But given that we were there close to closing time and we had to get back to our Airbnb, we chose to take the food to go. I tried the fish and chips and clam chowder, and we both had the chocolate cake, all of which were phenomenal. The clam chowder was warm and comforting, even though I had it after getting back to the Airbnb, and the fish and chips were perfectly fried and crispy without being too crispy. But the stand-out item was definitely the chocolate cake, which neither of us were expecting. We were expecting a dry, half-decent cake, but the cake we got was perfectly moist and rich without being overpoweringly rich and heavy. Definitely worth going to for just that cake, if nothing else!

We ordered the veggie scramble, 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy w/ an over easy egg and hash browns and 1 pancake. Everything was good - especially the veggie scramble. The service was very good, and fast. We didn't quite get through shooting pool (free) before the food was served! We had been out to find fish and chips the night before in another nearby town, were served portions that looked like child plates. So we were happy to be served a decent amount, plus had enough to take back to the campsite for later. My only suggestion might be to put some color, maybe flower baskets, or planters in half barrels, out front along the main road. The place is easy to miss and hard to tell if it's open for business if there are few cars there. The view out back to the lake is beautiful!

As a self proclaimed clam chowder connoisseur I take the hunt for delicious clam chowder throughout…read morethe PNW coastal area very seriously. Each beach town my husband I travel to, I spend far too much time reading reviews about clam chowder. If only I spent as much energy in other areas of my life as I do "internet-researching" clam chowder, who knows what I could accomplish. I must say that the clam chowder at Werner Beef & Brew is exactly what I have been hunting for. It is the perfect texture and consistency. It has a spectacular balance of clam to potato ratio, and the potatoes are cooked to perfection. They don't have too much bite, nor do they disintegrate into mush the moment they enter your mouth. The chowder itself was worth traveling from Rockaway to Tillamook for. It was even worth a more industrial view vs. an establishment with a more coastal and picturesque backdrop. The salad bar was on point. The variety of salad add-ins, dressings, and topping crunchy-bits were epic. It was a nice balance to the very rich perfect chowder I am already missing. I miss it. I miss the chowder. My husband also got the fish tacos, based on others' reviews and enjoyed every bite. I enjoyed their Dragon Fruit Cider, and he ordered one of their Meaty Bloody Mary's. If you are on the fence if you should order one, you should. You should get that bloody mary. The bloody mary then led us to purchase some of their salami and bologna. It was an elevated version of the sandwich meat my grandpa used with white bread, yellow mustard (off-brand), ice burg lettuce, and a slice of cheddar cheese. Mid-life has me craving nostalgia. It might be the hormone imbalance, but salami white bread sandwiches, here I come.
