Half eaten burrito and drooling pup
    Rachel P.

One of the best, if not THE BEST, breakfast burrito I've had in my life. We stopped in on our way back home after a weekend at Cape Lookout Campground. Sat outside on a gorgeous day soaking up the sun looking at the waves. Great vibe inside, not too crowded at noon and as mentioned, delicious burrito. Crispy parts on the outside, soft and pillowy eggs, yummy salsa. Just all of it so good. Definitely will be back when in the area.

    Beautiful scenery.

Exceptional service and great food! The view from our seats was amazing. I also recommend the smoothies.

View of the beach nearby, you can see the same beach horizon from the cafe seating

Amazing breakfast burrito (we chose the Mondo with the added avocado & salsa!) and it was freshly made and so delicious. View of the ocean from inside and the outdoor seating. Parking for the beach is nearby so fairly easy to find a spot. Loved the local paintings and watercolor on display in the cafe. A friendly vibe. Good coffee! Perfect spot to stop before strolling the beach - access is right there!

Friendly cafe with a great breakfast burrito! (The croissant sandwich was also very good) so glad Oceanside has this little cafe to fill us with coffee and good eats. It is also where they rent surf/beach gear so you can make your list while you eat.

    The mondo breakfast burrito

The food was great, generous portions and one of the best breakfast burritos I have ever had. The ambiance is very coastal and the people were kind and friendly. Great service!

One of the best breakfast burritos I've had, veg or otherwise! My mom and I split one on our way out of Oceanside and it hit the spot.

I was indecisive and overwhelmed with choices but the folks were kind and patient. My vegan picks: Rainbow wrap: I love yams, so it was an obvious choice. This was big and had good flavor. Whew, that curry filled up my car though. Rawsome bar: was pretty good as well. Not too sweet. I ate this while driving. Chocolate olive oil cake: moist Plush coconut cake: it was a bit dry Vegan tempeh Reuben: this was really good and would order again. Overall, I would come back and not 15 min before they close.

We had a run in with the manager after we asked for a refund after the 2nd ride ate our quarters. I actually only asked because it was the kids last ride and the last of the quarters. I did not want them to have to leave on a sad note. We spent over $200 in this restaurant supporting a small business. We won't be back due to this man's nasty attitude. He came in and proceeded to explain to us that the rides take 2 quarters each. Like we hadn't been back there putting money in them for an hour already. Just plain rude. We got the TWIST, a blt and grilled cheese combo that was actually a pretty good combination. The fries were krinkle cut so frozen but were hot and seasoned nicely and the onion rings also from frozen were good and came with blue cheese dressing for dipping, Nice! The decor was straight up 50's diner with pictures of muscle cars on the walls and various auto themed decorations throughout. There's some kid style entertainment in the back like stuff you would find in a park old fashioned riding toys etc. On the receipt it says Terry Phillips not windmill so maybe windmill is an old name? Anyway you slice it though the food was good, the 50's music playing was fun and we will definitely be coming back.

I've been there many times, and I've never had a bad meal. And if you had a problem, they would quickly resolve it. It's owned by the hardest-working woman I've ever met. She is always there to greet you with a warm and welcoming smile. I believe she started as a waitress. Then she bought the business, and now she also owns the building. I adore the sometimes-available lemon waffle, though in winter I really like the gingerbread one. I don't eat eggs Benedict, but my friends always love them. Love their lattes, and I am a coffee snob! Their scones are to die for. So take a couple home with you. The only downside is that it's terribly popular, so you will have to wait outside. It's very tight quarters. So if you're claustrophobic, this is not the place for you. They only take cash, but there's a cash machine across the street. I think they're always Open, which is amazing to me. If I'm really being picky, I wish she would update the interior and offer pagers so I could walk around.
