Cute space with a few tables. My latte was delicious! The star was the Mondo Burrito! Wow! The crispy cheese side was jaw dropping and intriguing, but even more impressive was the cross section! Last time we came here months ago it was a five star experience. We had the bf burrito and omelet. Eggs were fluffy and perfect. Today we tried the $15 bagel and croissant breakfast sandwiches. The bacon was burnt and the croissant was burnt on both sides. The front door was open and it was so cold in there. It was a brisk morning so not sure why the door was left open. You can see the ocean from this place so that helped make up for the burned food a little. This is one of those "order at the front and pay first" places. We walked in right as the kitchen was closing and we were hungry for chowder. The woman at the front, Cassie, kindly informed us the kitchen had just closed. We were bummed but the cook overheard and offered to make our dreams come true!! We had two bowls of the most delicious chowder. I think it's finished with olive oil and cilantro - a unique and fun twist. I would have liked to have tried the food, but apparently the owner is trying to redefine the meaning of 'open'. Listed hours in Google (not always trustworthy) and on the counter are 8am - 3pm. But in small print on the counter sign it says the kitchen closes at 2pm. Why? Is the owner betting the hungry traveler will resign themselves to grabbing a coffee and pastry instead of something more substantial? Maybe you should list your hours as 8am to 2pm? For those travelers who get suckered by this false advertising, the Upstairs a few miles back up the road post real hours and in fact has perfectly edible bar food available at 2:30pm. read more

This spot looked nice it was across the street from where I stayed I had high hopes but I got here at 8 am and didn't get my food for 1 whole hour it was crazy the amount of time was wasted just by coming here if I want to get the most out of your stay or visit to Oregon I would recommend literally going anywhere else to save yourself time and see as much as you can while you're here there's no reason it should take this long to make a breakfast sandwich and French toast. The BEST clam chowder I have found on the Oregon Coast. My search is complete. I came in from Portland for the day and was greeted here with the greatest service.... The cheery vibe was a stark contrast to the gloomy coastal weather. The clam chowder was so flavorful, full of fresh veggies and obviously made from scratch. Small place, I almost missed it. Google Maps took me to the street above. Small spot, mix of cafe and surf shop with 6 tables and some outside dining. Very conveniently located and nice place! We went around 9:30am and for ordering five coffees (the barista guy was by himself and killed it) AND food everything was prompt and super delicious! We are pretty avid coffee drinkers and even my super picky mom really enjoyed her cappuccino. If you get a flavored coffee i do recommend adding a shot or asking for it less sweet if you don't like very sweet drinks. I got the breakfast burrito (pictured) and it was so so good. Classic and no frills but also not super basic, potatoes were like cooked in salsa (I think?) which took it to the next level. Whole family had nothing but good things to say! Yummiest breakfast sandwich maybe ever so we went back to try the fish tacos and veggie nachos. This place covers all of my favorite food cravings! The strawberry lemonade is tart and sweet and perfect on this summer day. The fish tacos were so fresh as well as the nachos. We are going back for strawberry pancakes with eggs and bacon tomorrow! After seeing the 5 star Yelp rating, my wife, grandson and myself stopped here for what we expected to be a special treat. My grandson ordered the pork sliders with fries and my wife and I ordered the fish and chips and strawberry lemonade. I was surprised to hear a $76 total before tip! We waited for a while in the dining area and an employee approached and informed my grandson that they were out of pork so the sliders he ordered were not available. He looked again at the menu and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and fries. We were not offered a credit for the $5 difference in price. The meals arrived a few minutes later and we were so disappointed that our fish was dark, crispy and overcooked. The crinkle fries and grilled cheese were good but we can't get past the bad food preparation. We live on the north Oregon coast (I was born 6 miles from here 70 years ago) and usually always enjoy quality fish until today. Consider yourself warned that despite great Yelp reviews, you could receive overpriced poorly prepared food like we did. After the 20% tip made when ordered, our meal was $90!! When you have to order and pay at the counter before receiving service or food, you are trusting the merchant to deliver and this time we got burned. read more

Small hole-in-the-wall spot at Oceanside. We drove past it a couple times during our trip before we eventually stumbled across it while looking for a morning coffee spot. The staff were super friendly and helpful with deciding menu items; however it was super busy and they looked somewhat understaffed as there were only 2 guys manning the till, drinks bar, serving, as well as the register for the surf shop next door. That being said, the wait was not too long and the food was amazing. We had 3 breakfast sandwiches and one of us had the Greek yogurt bowl. None of us had a single complaint and were thoroughly satisfied. Portions are good and the flavors were amazing. Will definitely stop by again if we're ever in the area. read more
