There is also a good level of fish sauce. The flavor was awesome! I had the cornmeal-crusted tofu, which was excellent. The portion is also nice and large, so I was able to enjoy my pad thai a second day. We'll definitely eat here again next time we're in the area.

Came here for a quick coffee and pastry over Memorial Day weekend…read more Since this coffee place is located right next to all the accommodations in the area, it was packed. We ordered a cold brew, an oat milk iced latte, and a scone. The latte was mid especially given the price at over $7. The cold brew was fine. The scone was a bit of an impulse purchase but was the best part of our visit. It was tasty and not at all dry. Service was slow but they were dealing with a lot of customers so I can't fault them for that during this visit.

I was confronted by a man today in this establishment that apparently works there and drinks there…read moreon his off time. He proceeded to want to fight me outside the bar and kept interjecting when I was having a conversation with the bartender. The bartender and I were having a cordial conversation and learning where each other came from. She had told me she had came from Bend which was kind of cool because I had just came from bend earlier in my travels. The man said he had a grudge against me from the previous day where we had maybe a 2-minute conversation about pretty much nothing and he walked away. I thought that was the end of it. I came in today to get some food. Some sweets and a few drinks and head home like a normal human being. This man wanted to deal with his psychological issues pertaining to yesterday's incident when I had no recollection of said incident. I told him I knew nothing about what he was talking about the day before and that he seemed like a good-hearted person and we could have a good conversation. He proceeded to tell me that wasn't the case and that he wanted to have words and physically harm me in some way outside. He then was talked to by the bartenders and left without incident. I just don't understand how people can be the way they are when all I'm trying to do is have a nice summer vacation for myself and Liv in a way that keeps the peace. On a side note, the food is delicious. They have good prices on alcoholic drinks and their pastries are phenomenal. Just watch out if you see a bald guy that works there cuz I don't want other people to have to deal with that kind of confrontation. Then the second time, a worse situation...the burrito had zero seasoning, carne asada (supposed to be marinated), obviously was not. ugh...I do love a burrito, but man... went there about 5 times, 2 out of th 5 were wildly inconsistent, I guess now that I'm thinking about this only 1 was fantastic, and the second one was pretty good. Some of the worst service I've ever experienced, and from the owner!!! We came in as a group of 10…read moreat 9pm on a Friday. Nobody greeted us or asked for IDs (we are mid 20s-mid 30s). It was busy, but there was one table that could fit our group, and it had dirty cups all over it. We went over and started collecting cups and consolidating garbage. An older man named Mike came over and said we were in the way, so we moved over. But no matter where we moved, we were in his way due to the size of our group. He continued to make rude comments to multiple people in our group. It was causing a scene, so we decided to leave. One person in our group mentioned to him that he could have been kinder, as our intention was to help. After he recognized someone in our group whose family comes here regularly (and recommended this place), he followed us out into the parking lot and apologized. Then he asked us to come back into his establishment, adding that he was the owner. He stated that customers and tourists have been frustrating him all day and that's why he snapped at us... At that point, we were so turned off by the whole experience that we thanked him for the apology and left. Every single person in our group has worked in the service industry and were shocked to be treated this way, especially by the owner.

The food is the same at both locations, so if you're simply coming for the food and don't have a dog, this location is perfectly fine. That said, after visiting the Lincoln City location, I'd absolutely choose that one instead. It's beautiful inside and out and only about 40 minutes away. The Pacific City location starts off with a pretty terrible parking situation -- the lot is extremely tight and it feels like everyone is parked on top of each other. The indoor space looked perfectly nice, but since we had our dog, we were limited to the outdoor seating, which was extremely disappointing. There were a couple of heaters along one wall, but they weren't being used despite it being a chilly 59-degree day. If I were rating atmosphere alone, I'd probably give this location one star. However, I had no complaints about the service, so I couldn't in good conscience rate the overall experience that low. There was nothing necessarily wrong with our visit -- there just wasn't anything about the space or atmosphere that made me want to stay, relax, and hang out. If you're traveling with a dog, I'd definitely choose the Lincoln City location instead.

I had a ginger and turmeric latte with espresso added. It was a perfect specimen. The soy milk was the right temperature, not too hot so it had a creamy texture. The flavor was also the dreamiest. Not overboard but also not subtle. It had the right kick to get my morning started. I grab some beans from the roaster they use. I'll see how that goes.
