Came here for a quick coffee and pastry over Memorial Day weekend. Since this coffee place is located right next to all the accommodations in the area, it was packed. We ordered a cold brew, an oat milk iced latte, and a scone. The latte was mid especially given the price at over $7. The cold brew was fine. The scone was a bit of an impulse purchase but was the best part of our visit. It was tasty and not at all dry. Service was slow but they were dealing with a lot of customers so I can't fault them for that during this visit. read more

I would love to give this little spot a 5 but unfortunately their coffee is not great. Not enough ice in the iced drinks and everything gets watery quickly plus the espresso hasn't been dialed in. I also wish they went for homemade syrups as opposed to toranni syrups as it would elevate their product immensely -- less can be more! The cold brew tastes a bit like gasoline but could be easily corrected with some experimentation. However, the food is great and the scones are a particular highlight. Even if I don't love the coffee, I still find myself driving an hour round trip for a scone and a beach walk :)) read more

Recently stayed near Cape Kiwanda and decided to give this place a try. My mom absolutely fell in love with their Haystack Cookie and they only had one left. We stayed for a while and the staff could overhear how much my mom loved the cookie. They made another batch and gave my mom a "to-go" cookie. They were so sweet here and it was just a super thoughtful gesture. Thank you for your staffs kindness. These small gestures of being kind "regardless of giving away something" can mean the world to someone as you never know what they are going through at the time. What you didn't know is we came here to spread our family's ashes and were on our way to spread them after having coffee. That's partly why it meant a lot to us read more

The location is great, right by the beach and parking. However, the coffee isn't great & everything is too expensive. Also, I ordered a strawberry lemonade (the normal lemonade is $4) and they charged me over $7 for it. Then, they ran out of lemonade so they just did half lemonade half sparkling water and didn't ask if that was ok and I had to ask to find out because it tasted so terrible. The inside order area is nice but the rest of it is pretty bland. The bakery items are at least yummy, but there are better places like Cold Water & Coffee that I'd rather go to. read more

This coffee shop has the prime location in Pacific City! It can be packed out the door with a line. There are some tucked away tables, but it's not a chill/work spot when busy. The iced latte I ordered was pretty good, but the hot one was just okay. I thought the sandwiches were delicious. Great bread that was soft and a little toasty! My Son and I were staying at the Inn at Cape Kiwanda, and this Stimulus Coffee + Bakery was the most convenient breakfast choice. Good service too. This was my first time visiting Stimulus Coffee. Although the baked goods looked fabulous, I did not eat any food. However, on our three-day trip to Pacific City, I did purchase coffee here multiple times. Was this the best cold brew I have ever had? It might have been. The service was also great. Everyone who worked here was very polite and knowledgeable, and I really appreciated the staff. On a side note my 20oz cold brew was seven plus dollars. The ambiance is what you would expect from a coffee shop. It felt a little cramped to me, but there was a lot of seating. I had to do a Zoom session, and this was the only place in town with reliable WiFi, which saved me. Next time I am in town, I will be back. read more

Lines are insanely long, but they move through them pretty quickly. Sucks that they run out of traditional items pretty quickly and some items from online are not in the actual menu and vice versa. I ordered traditional cappuccino and traditional americano, both hot. They both were pretty good. Grilled cheese sandwich (more like a burger) has mustered and spicy Tillamook cheese and it's pretty good. Also had espresso cannoli and those are so good. read more

This is a pretty large place, with a good selection of coffee drinks. They also have food - and I had low expectations given the prices of nearby businesses. However, we had the grilled cheese sandwich and it was EXCELLENT. Really good, fresh, great bread - and reasonable price. We also had straight up coffee, also very very good. Very Disappointing. You can tell, in a town like Pacific city, the places that are tourist traps and the places that are authentic. Unfortunately this is the former. We paid 35 dollars for 2 cups of tea, 1 small pastry, and 1 stale breakfast sandwich that was soggy from being reheated in a microwave/toaster oven. We had high hopes after reading the description of this bakery on their website, unfortunately, it seems that they are a cafe with airport foodcourt style offerings and a great marketing team. The girls could've been a little nicer .. sucky customer service, plus the restrooms were dirty and wastebasket was full of trash .. and the one thing that sucked was the coffee maker was broke & the ovens we're brokeen down ... so no food... My husband and I visited during mid-morning on a rainy/windy Saturday. The atmosphere was vibrant with lots of groups enjoying conversation & laughter. We ordered 2 lattes, the veggie quiche, a bacon & egg sandwich, an everything bagel & the açaí overnight oats. Service was quick & the food and coffee were good. The overnight oats was my favorite - so tasty! We only interacted with staff when placing our order and then we sat in front of a huge window over looking the Pelican Brewing parking lot where you can peek at the ocean & watch the chefs making pastries in the kitchen. Around Portland there's no shortage of new shops and cafes and around the coast area there's places like Ultra Life that is phenomenal with the beverage and food menu. In Pacific City, Stimulus coffee does it right, beautiful modern and spacious interior and cozy seating. The bakery smells of fresh baked goods filled the air. The tea latte London fog was especially on point. Earl grey steeped long enough to allow the flavor and floral aroma to disperse into the right temp water and then fully frothed oatmilk and vanilla syrup to create a wow factor of taste. There is no customer service. I ordered food and waited 20 minutes, had to get in the long line again and they said they had sold out! At no point did they say anything. They said they tried to call my number but I was standing right next to the pick up area the whole time. Then they said it should be credited back by 4pm when they close out the till. you guys this place had the best matcha I have ever had. I drank so much of there matcha that I had to leave because I would have spent all my money on this matcha. The only downside of this place is that it's 5 hours away from where I live and the crazy thing is I would drive here just to drink there matcha. Really being the only place for decent coffee in the local area. Just had a standard Mexican Mocha and it was a little overloaded with sweetness. Wife had a hot latte and it was ok. Can I give them a zero? We were in Pacific City on 09/07/25 for vacation. Google said that Stimulus opened at 6 AM So we got there about 6:20 AM. Some lights were on and product was in the cases but the door was locked. The sign on the door also said open at 6. There was an employee inside but she wouldn't come to the door. We waited awhile until someone else a door down stuck her head out and said that starting today, they open at 7 instead of 6. We came back after 7 and the employee that wouldn't come to the door earlier, was the same one that waited on us. There was no "good morning" or "how can I help you" from her. We asked for a cinnamon bliss pastry but the employee said they didn't have any. We asked about a pastry in the cases that looked like it was cinnamon but the employee ignored us. We did buy two slices of quiche, a scone and a plain bagel. The food was just ok. My plain bagel wasn't any better than a store bought Pepperidge Farm Bagel. My friends & I recently spent a week in Pacific City, OR & just picked this coffee shop out of a hat one morning. It had the best view in town (literally across the parking lot from the ocean & some cliffs...OF INSANITY!!) so it seemed like a no-brainer. Believe me when I say that you should stop what you're doing & GO TO THIS COFFEE SHOP! Their pastries are ridiculously good! I got a Beach Bun (savory roll with lemon zest & cardamom) & a puff ball pastry of some sort made of cheese, puffy pastry stuff, & what the Japanese call "umami". My friend said their Egg Bites are ridiculously fantastic & the Açaí Overnight Oats were perfect. The coffee drinks were perfect & the Dirty Chai was the big hit. Not normally one to leave reviews, however this place stood out so much that I hope my review gets the managers attention. I have never in my life experienced such disrespectful and rude customer service. And I'm not just an angry customer that was having a bad day, I stood back waiting for my drinks and observed the awful attitude of one of the employees to three other people, before I got to interact with the employee myself. From snapping at people that were asking for a cup sleeve or trying to clarify which order number was called, this employee was very rude in all interactions of just answering simple questions. IF she decided to answer at all, she blatantly ignored one of the customers (an elderly lady) that stood up at the pickup counter for over 5 minutes, mind you this was literally right in front of the employee I'm referring to, trying to tell her that she didn't receive all her pastries. The employee continued to call out order numbers and set other people drinks on the counter right in front of the elderly lady, and everytime the customer would try to ask her again and again for her pastries the employee would go back to coffees or anything else aside from addressing this ladies needs. When I finally got my coffees, which I ordered 3 different ones, none of which were labeled. I asked this employee "do you guys label your drinks or can you tell me which ones are which?" she snapped back at me "yes we do". I then replied with, "mine are not labeled". She ignored me. Since I'd already seen her snap "no" at someone else that had asked for the cup sleeve, I asked if I could at least get a drink carrier. She did reply this time, very rudely with "we don't have any". I had walked here from our rental house so it would have been very helpful to have a drink carrier considering the coffees were so HOT I could not even walk more than about 10 steps at time without having to set them down on the sidewalk because my hands were burning. Before I had walked away from the pickup counter with my blistering hot coffees, the elderly lady was STILL standing there waiting to be addressed, and I had looked at her and said "they're not very friendly here are they?"... and she looked back at me and said "no they certainly are not!" Talk about an overall horrible experience. I will absolutely not be going back to this place, which is very unfortunate because it's the main coffee/bakery right here off the beach. I personally enjoyed the coffee and would have loved to try many more of the pastries. My husband and I had spent $60 here in just two days for our family and would have continued to go here for the remainder of the week if it weren't for this last encounter. Absolutely do NOT recommend. This employee needs a serious attitude check as this will drive customers away. read more
