[[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe is a cute little place, definitely doesn't have the capacity for a big crowd.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious even though the sweet crepe portion was a little small. However, the service was not the best. I must say, it was 10 am on a Sunday just about the breakfast rush hour. We ordered a sweet and savory crepe, a cappuccino, and a parfait. They told us it's about a 20-25 minute because the kitchen is busy but it eventually became a 45-55 min wait. When I got my bag they forgot the parfait.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute little place and love the variety of the crepes![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Apple Tree and it was so good, Apple, honey, goat cheese and prosciutto! It was so good. I am so glad we tried and would definitely go back.

This little spot is like something out of a movie. The food is delicious and made with love, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the decor is beautiful[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the friendly people who work there are so kind! The icing on the cake are the local artists who have their beautiful pieces for sale in this picture perfect gem! Stop by for a coffee, a delicious locally sourced smoked salmon crepe or fabulous chocolate croissant!!

This little French bistro was a delightful find. We were looking for crepes and we found them here. Not all their choices were sweet which was a very nice change. Coffee and Chai, also not too sweet, were delicious with their selection of pastries. The service was young, pretty, friendly and helpful. Food came out quicker than expected. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just enough time to enjoy the coffee, atmosphere and books of poetry in the window sill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A super lovely coffee and crepe spot! I love the calm interior. Not much seatings so be sure to come early. Their crepe selection was incredible. I went with the Fumé which was a smoked salmon and cream cheese crepe. Every crepe is made to order so there was a bit of a wait but it's worth it! My crepe was full of tasty smoked salmon and delectable cream cheese. Some of the better crepes I've had in awhile.

This is about half of the baked egg dish, could not help myself, should have taken the picture first

I almost hate to say this, as they are already busy as all get out, which causes delay time. But trust me when I say, they are worth every darn minute that you spend waiting to enjoy what they make. I treated myself to their baked eggs? Something I had no Idea existed, I have since looked up some recipes, and will be doing this at home ....My wife had the Sausage with Fennel Crepe, and it was very good also. Some folks were in a hurry and did not have the time to wait for service. Frankly if you have the time to try this, do it!

Adorable little cafe with scrumptious food! The hubs, daughter and I split a savory and two different sweet crepes--all were out of this world! The fresh fruit was incredible, and the coffee hot. Staff were living examples of Oregon-Coast friendliness, and the space is just the cutest! Wonderful little spot.

    Veggie Quiche with Fruit

We love going to this French cafe every time we go to the beach. It's conveniently located; about 3 minutes away from our condo. My husband went the day before this visit and bought some pastries to enjoy at our condo. My favorite was the pear tart. Today we came for breakfast. I ordered the veggie quiche and my husband had the shrimp crepe. Both were very delicious. I loved the presentation with the sliced fruit too. My only disappointment this time was receiving a hot chocolate instead of the mocha I ordered. I thought my drink tasted too chocolaty, but figured she put the whole amount of chocolate in, not less like I requested. When we finished, we checked out at the counter. She had the tablet facing her, so I asked if she could turn it around so I could see the charges. She seemed annoyed at my request, but complied. It turns out I was charged for hot cocoa! I told her I thought it tasted like hot cocoa, I ordered a mocha. She responded in an abrupt tone: "You said hot chocolate!" I reminded her that when I ordered I asked what kind of chocolate they use in the mochas and if she could use a little less. She again said: "You ordered hot chocolate!" My husband even heard me order a mocha. She obviously misheard. Later that day, I looked at the emailed receipt & there was a $1 charge for alternative milk. I wish I had noticed that at the restaurant, but I was more focused on what drink I was charged for. I called to question the charge since neither of us requested alternative milk. She said it was for the nonfat milk in my hot cocoa. I told her I've never heard of nonfat milk being considered alternative milk. She said anything other than whole milk is alternative and it's listed on the menu under alternative milks. I looked online and it specifically says oat milk, soy, etc is alternative. So there must be a different menu in house. Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast and the pear crepe I ordered to go was delicious, even reheated.

Their lattes are soooo good! Great coffee.

Of course, had my Yelp app handy and it found Bar Purlieu for me. I got there right at 4pm when they opened since it was a Friday night, 4th of July weekend so did not know if I was going to get a big crowd since I had no reservations. I ordered the following: House Chianti (excellent)!! regret that I did not take a picture of the bottle ($14) Bone Marrow Appetizer: melt in your mouth delicious ($19) Filet Mignon: delicious, it had a morel mushroom sauce and it was absolutely divine. I got it medium rare and it was perfect ($50) 6 Oyster's: very meaty and you need to ask for fresh horseradish and tabasco sauce. They only have 1 small bottle of tabasco sauce for the whole restaurant and they serve raw oysters... what??? that is insane!!! ($4.50 PER OYSTER-that is insane too but they were nice an meaty). I will definitely be back!!!! Will bring my own Costco size Tabasco sauce

Menu is balanced with a rich variety of local veggies (salads/vegetarian), meat, seafood, and a 4/5/6 course Chef's tasting menu (+ optional wine pairings). EXTRA crisp POMMES FRITES with warm & savory garlic aioli (like Freedom Fries from Macdo in France, upgraded!), paired with a black garlic-seasoned fresh-from-the-farm KNEE DEEP TARTARE atop aioli (little heavy, upside-down) & crisp brioche with crunchy fried shallots sprinkled on top - a fresh & slightly funky take on the the original. Claire had me at "dessert menu," and this PISTACHIO BUTTER PIE has a green moussey pistachio butter that's smooth but nutty between a chocolate-spiced graham crust & top layer of chocolate ganache, pistachios & flake salt. Could I get my triglycerides checked with that?!

Bug, hairs, undercooked food, and slow service…read more Made a reservation for Valentine's Day for their 4 course meal. They had a fun, kooky artist playing music and he was great. It seemed like all the guests knew each other and it was weird and we felt a bit out of place. I ordered bruschetta, a berry salad, a crab and shrimp risotto, and a chocolate lava cake. My date ordered a potato crisp appetizer, Caesar salad, filet mignon, and crème brûlée. My first issue: The salad came first, then the appetizer, then the desert, then 30 minutes later the entree. We wanted to eat desert last but it would have been cold if we waited to receive and finish our entrees. Guessing they brought the desert to keep us occupied while our entrees were cooking. Second issue: about half way through my drink I found a bug in it. I also found a hair in my salad but wasn't sure if that came from my shirt. But then I pulled a similar hair out of the cake (which absolutely couldn't have been mine). They replaced the drink but I didn't mention the hairs because it was so hard to get anyone's attention at that point and I didn't want to make a scene with my date after already having to replace my drink. Third: the rice in the risotto was very undercooked and chewy. The stuff they sprinkled on top (maybe strands of truffle? Not sure) had such an overwhelming smell that it made the food hard to eat. The olive spread on the bruschetta was SOOO salty I had to scrape it off and only use about 1/3 of it, I over salt my food so this was surprising. We had an early reservation but the people who came in after us were waiting upwards of 20-30 minutes just to get their first course. Pros: the salads were delicious! The deserts were tasty (minus being brought early and finding a hair). The filet mignon was cooked PERFECTLY. I was regretting I didn't get one myself. For $80 per person I would have expected much better service, bug and hair free, and properly cooked food. Not worth it for me. We won't be back again.
