    The kiss getting destroyed
    Ben M.

Took a quick vacation from Los Angeles, ended up trying the "kiss" and it was amazing. The owner was so nice as well. Wish you had been opened on the weekend!

Tasty crispy chicken schnitzel and lovely helpful cashier;) Had the KISS subbed crispy vs homestyle schnitzel on baguette.

Walking into the cafe I knew we were in for something special. Ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches,…read moreboth came with a side of chips and a pickle! Added a side of baked beans 9/10 for both the beans and sandwiches. Great portion sizes, the sandwiches were overflowing with meat. The sauce to meat ratio was perfect. Not too sloppy, but not dry either. Wishing there was a bit more coleslaw flavor but the pickles and onions made up for it. Coming from a Texan missing some homemade bbq, I will be coming back here again!! 10/10 service - We were told 20 min, we got everything in 5. Staff were incredibly nice!

The café itself is simple, clean, and cozy, with a small outdoor seating area available. Their menu features a variety of sandwiches and burgers to choose from. On a previous visit, I tried the elk burger, which was excellent. This time, I ordered the roast beef sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The bread was lightly toasted, the portion of meat was generous, and the sandwich itself was hearty and satisfying. Service was quick and efficient, making it an ideal spot for a casual lunch. While the space is modest, it is well-maintained and comfortable. They also operate a butcher shop next door, which has become one of my favorite places to purchase quality meats--I plan to review that separately in the future. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

If you visit you will find a very large selection of sweet and savory single-serving rolls-treats, sandwiches, and drinks. And they have thin- or thick-sliced loaves of Japanese white bread. It is very popular with families, eat-in, and takeaway. Families love to allow wide-eyed children to pick among options. They have a hygienic system of clean tongs and trays for your selection. The takeaway goes in nice boxes, honoring the tradition of Japanese packaging. I would have to say, I am still trying to figure out how to use Japanese loaf bread, in contrast to Italian or French bread. I grew up in a family of whole wheat bread. When I toast the thin-sliced Japanese bread, the inside is not done. So I'm experimenting with a short microwave after toasting. I'm also looking at what to put on Japanese bread toast. The staff is customer-oriented, parking is vast and they are near the Tualatin Parks and Rec facility to burn calories before or after. Unique, friendly, community, cool.

The theme made sense and felt very outdoor baseball themed with their tables and chairs. Inside is clean, bright but impersonal and generic. Maybe they just haven't had the time to put their stamp on it yet. The upsides - there is table service now and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I've ordered their Country Fried Steak with scrambled eggs multiple times now. Still a very good steak and sausage gravy. Either the steak breading of the sausage gravy was maybe a touch more salty than usual. The eggs were disappointing- scrambled eggs should be fluffy due to constantly stirring over low heat in a pan - and previously they always had been. This time they were a overcooked dense, dry puck, It was as if the egg mixture was poured out on the flattop, left and flipped once. Still eatable with hot sauce. Over all - they did hit a ball, but definitely no home run. It's unlikely that I'll be back.
